BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and position.
I am the Co-Founder & Co-CEO of Zencargo
Describe what your company does in a single sentence.
Zencargo is a digital freight forwarder and logistics provider that offers a cloud-based supply chain management platform, enabling businesses to book, manage, and track international sea, air, and road cargo while using real-time data and analytics to optimize their logistics operations.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What specific goals or objectives did you hire reloadux to accomplish?
- At Zencargo, our core platform focuses on transforming messy supply chain variables into a streamlined, high-speed experience. Going into late 2025, our product roadmap was highly ambitious: we were preparing to roll out a major AI-driven automation feature suite called "Luca" (designed to read inbound documents, handle customs declarations, and predict shipping delays). We brought on Reloadux because our existing desktop application wasn't optimized for the intense data density that this AI engine generated. We specifically needed them to design an intuitive document management environment called "Luca Dock" that allowed freight operators to quickly cross-check automatically parsed PDF data against international ocean and air manifests. Our main objective was to reduce cognitive friction for operators managing global exceptions without stripping away the detailed data required for international trade compliance.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The engagement required a complete overhaul of our primary workspace views to cleanly accommodate high-volume asynchronous tasks:The "Luca Dock" Intelligence Workspace: An interactive split-screen interface built to process inbound digital documents. The left side displayed the original customs invoice PDF, while the right side presented Reloadux's custom-designed editable text extraction blocks. They built out intelligent validation highlight states, guiding the user’s eye straight to any mismatched harmonized system codes before data was officially submitted to customs databases. Contextual Delay Visibility Engine: A complete overhaul of our real-time shipment tracking timelines. Reloadux replaced legacy text alerts with color-coded contextual alerts. These modules distinctly separated minor shipping changes from critical structural delays (such as rolled cargo at the port or global transit bottlenecks), allowing operators to immediately spot issues at the individual SKU level.Automated Quote Acceptance Funnel: An overhauled, lightning-fast digital booking interface featuring immediate timestamped activity feed receipts, designed to eliminate manual email confirmations between shippers and global carrier networks. Key Deliverables:Production-ready Figma interaction flows mapping out desktop views and flexible tablet viewports.Clickable micro-interaction models showing real-time AI data parsing error loops and document matching states.A robust, variable-based design language system containing reusable components and responsive data grid layouts.Clean developer handoff kits packaged with direct CSS layout specs and localized component tokens.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The practical enhancements to our platform's overall usability were noticeable immediately after deploying the Reloadux modules: Drastic Drop in Data-Entry Friction: Freight operators now review, match, and log inbound shipping documents in a fraction of the time, moving past manual text copying completely. Fewer Interface Escalation Tickets: The high-contrast color codes and contextual status displays allowed customer support agents to easily interpret tracking delays, significantly reducing internal look-up times. Faster Booking Completion: Shippers now move through the digital quoting and booking acceptance workflows in just a few clicks, eliminating manual email verification delays entirely. Smoother Engineering Implementation: The precision of Reloadux's design tokens and component documentation allowed our engineering team to ship the frontend code with almost no layout modifications required during the final build phase.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Their internal workflow was characterized by clear structure and rapid execution. Reloadux operated in highly disciplined, bi-weekly agile development sprints, using Linear for task backlogs and holding live collaborative review sessions over Loom to keep communication efficient. They demonstrated exceptional flexibility during the winter when global shipping corridors faced major unexpected transit reroutes. We had to immediately change direction mid-sprint to add predictive carbon emission tracking modules onto our active ocean routes to meet new EU environmental regulations. Reloadux adjusted their schedule immediately, moving their layout designers onto the compliance modules to ensure we hit our engineering launch date perfectly.
What was your primary form of communication with reloadux?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What genuinely surprised us about Reloadux was their unique ability to absorb complex supply chain vocabulary instantly. Most generic software design firms get overwhelmed by the nuances of international trade—such as understanding the difference between air house bills, container yard deadlines, or split customs declarations. The Reloadux squad didn't need any hand-holding; they understood the structural data dependencies perfectly. They actively pushed us to prioritize clean hierarchy and functional layouts over unnecessary decoration, resulting in an incredibly robust tool built for real operational scaling.
Are there any areas for improvement or something reloadux could have done differently?
The experience was incredibly positive, though we hit a minor bottleneck early on regarding mobile layout transitions. During the first design phase, several heavy data dashboards were styled with dense horizontal layouts that didn't translate cleanly to smaller screens. We had to spend a full week pair-programming to adjust the layout order for non-desktop devices. Had Reloadux introduced rigid mobile breakpoints right from the initial wireframing workshops, we would have avoided that minor structural adjustments block later in the timeline.
