The forms on the website are essential for our metrics in general. Having the forms work correctly and fixed in time is crucial to us. Red Collar supported the website in a timely manner allowing it to continue functioning.

We had a chat on a messaging app. Red Collar’s project manager would reply quickly once a new task was given and reported how much time it would take to complete it. They were constantly in touch and fixated on our needs.

RedCollar was to design and present a fresh looking website for our company that would be appealing and attractive to prospective partners and investors. With this new design for our website, we also commissioned a new logo with matching business cards to refresh the look of our company. Key deliverables included a Webflow site with CMS functionality, a new logo with agreed upon features, and a business card template.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All deliverable objectives were met admirably and given to us at the appointed times or earlier. Progress on work was updated on a weekly basis along with future work plans and expectations. Any issues or questions were handled on a daily basis by speaking with the project manager either through Zoom or e-mail.

We were assigned a project manager that diligently met with us on a weekly basis to update us on the work that was planned for the coming week, progress on the work that was ongoing, and asked us for feedback and material that they needed to complete the project. 
Any issues that were raised were typically addressed within a business day and in a timely manner especially considering the company is in a distant time zone from our organization. Any adjustments or requests were addressed promptly and they adhered strictly to the work order that was agreed upon prior to the initiation of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a clearly established process to establish what a client needs and a variety of parameters to focus in a on a website design that will fulfill those needs. Their design process and website layouts are very unique and unconventional yet appealing. The designs and site transitions are aesthetically pleasing and not often seen on most other website designs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Red Collar could have done differently?

There are no major areas that merit concern. A handful of times, certain demos or examples given to us for evaluation were not put together properly (certain example displays not being altered between changes, incorrect template files being sent, etc. ) Overall, their process is solid and mostly issues that arose could be attributed to human error and were easily and quickly rectified

We worked in two directions: website support and design support. For the website, which had already been in place for several years, tasks varied from ensuring stability and better performance to adding new sections and updating the content. As for design tasks, Red Collar made banners for social media and prints, short motions for conferences, and visuals for the NFTs.

We run through a couple of Red Collar project managers due to circumstances unrelated to work but the dev and design teams remained consistent. Our primary requirement was a 24-hour to 48-hour response time, this was perfectly upheld. The design team got onto our tech crypto vibe and delivered excellent results.

Though the team is distributed across several time zones, the processes are ensured. The management is friendly and caring. We had to contact them for several urgent issues outside of working hours, and they found ways to resolve them quickly.

Everything is great for the most part. Onboarding new PMs could be a bit smoother, but this was not critical – there were a couple of miscommunication issues. Still, the team promptly addressed them and ensured the ongoing continuity of our collaboration.

The CMS was to give a wide range of options how to arrange longreads since we expected a lot of visuals for every material. The CMS was also to allow us create new sections of the website.

Red Collar's team created a comprehensible timeline of their work and kept to it. They also set up weekly calls and a messaging channel. We got almost instant reaction to any of our queries. RC also listened closely to any ideas we had and helped us formulate tasks if we struggled to explain them in terms of development. They also greatly helped us with art-direction since our materials were rich with visuals.

Red Collar developed our first website. They built it from scratch, and we provided some visual information for it.

We mainly worked with three people. There was a project manager, another manager, and a web developer.

The founder of our company knew them somehow; he knew that they’d received awards for other websites. He liked their work and hired them based on that.

We spent $25,150 on their work.

We signed a contract with them in August 2019, and our collaboration ended in April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We used Red Collar’s website for about a year, and some people said it was nice. The website was beautiful, but its customization made it hard for outside developers to integrate other applications and work with it. We needed something more flexible.

Eventually, we weren’t able to use it. We now have a different website.

How did Red Collar perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated over email and WhatsApp. They were effective, but certain things took some time, and we would’ve liked them to be faster.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, they did quality work, but they weren’t cheap.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think they had experience with Shopify integration, which we needed. They had to research it and make it work. Perhaps they could get more experience with these international platform integrations.

Also, there were several people working on one thing. It probably would’ve been faster and easier to work directly with one person. For example, if we needed to adjust or change something, several people would get involved, making easy fixes take more time.

The measurable outcomes from this project that demonstrate progress and success are quite notable. Firstly, they’ve built an entire platform starting from scratch. In terms of user engagement, they made impressive strides, going from zero to 1000 viewers in just one year. The artist community on the platform also grew significantly, expanding from just one artist initially to 200 artists at the end of the year. This growth demonstrates the platform's appeal to the artist community.

The platform's content also expanded dramatically, with the number of artworks growing from a couple to a massive collection of 700. This not only shows the platform's capability to handle a large volume of content but also points to a high level of activity and engagement from the artists. Another measurable outcome is the platform's quality, as evidenced by it being almost completely bug-free. This reflects the company's commitment to delivering a high-quality user experience.

Finally, the company's ability to consistently meet update deadlines further illustrates their professionalism and operational efficiency.
