The main responsibilities were: 

• Supporting current integrations, writing, and integrating software components
• Driving performance tuning, automation, monitoring, and testability
• Providing analysis, design changes, recommendation of upgrades, and maintenance of software
• Collaborating closely with Scrum and Product development teams
• Participating in the requirements refining, estimate, and user story development; During the project, their specialist was involved in the development of an application that is installed on devices in showrooms.

Some of the features that were implemented while working on the project: 

• Functional icons of products; - Online checkout
• Refactored and redesigned the display of product prices for correct display on different devices and with different screen orientations
• Refactor the shopping cart to a new design
• Adjusted the work of the library, which is used to generate forms
• Improved and increased test coverage of the application for showrooms;

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Developers from Razom helped a lot. Over time, having studied the project and completed the priority pool of tasks they proposed and subsequently implemented a lot of improvements. Thus, they brought the project to a new technical level of quality, improving the performance, speed, security and usability of the product. The end customer was very pleased.

The partnership with Razom has been truly wonderful. Their ability to anticipate obstacles, facilitate clear communication, and achieve project goals exceeds all expectations. It has been a pleasure working with Razom and we look forward to future endeavors together.

I'm the technical lead project manager, responsible for making sure that the rights things get implemented.

For what projects/services did your company hire Razom, and what were your goals?

We were tasked to build a custom e-commerce platform from scratch. Something where we couldn't grab an existing platform from the shelf.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We've been working together for a while on different projects and they never disappoint.

We started of with defining the requirements and going over them making sure everything was included. They then delivered a very nice UX design while we started working on the data structure definitions. After a couple of sprints we already had a nice demo running.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with 1 UX designer and 2 backend developers and 2 frontend developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Overall the quality is very good, we had an external audit done on the code and everything was solid! the scalability was very responsive and we haven't had any downtime.

We did our own project management and their team jumped on board like they've been working with us for years. They followed our guidelines and even helped improve certain processes along the way!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The enjoyment!!! The quality and dedication was already very good, but the enthusiasm they brought to the project is just not something you can just "rent" somewhere else.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing i could say that i had to ask them to improve was their documentation. But to be fair they jumped on that immediately and haven't had any issues since.

I am the CEO of BrightEye, an independent software company that implements software that digitizes manufacturing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Razom?

I decided to rebrand our go-to-market tools, including a new brand identity and a website. My collaboration with Razom was a part of that rebranding process. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Razom was a part of a consortium of companies I guided through my company’s three-month rebranding journey. Their team was in charge of creating a new brand identity and related deliverables, including logos, brochures, and designs for expo stands. After Razom completed that work, they spearheaded the website redesign and development utilizing the website copy I provided. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with three teammates from Razom, including the owners and a developer. 

How did you come to work with Razom?

We have an office in Kyiv, who suggested I talk to the owners at Razom. Their work proposal was good, so after I met them in person, I decided to hire them. 

How much have you invested with them?

I invested €40,000 (approximately $45,000 USD) with Razom. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with Razom from January–April 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Razom was able to deliver the project within the allotted timeline and scope. 

How did Razom perform from a project management standpoint?

Razom had good project management. They were always available and very responsive. We communicated via Microsoft Teams, and they utilized an internal project management toolkit. They went the extra mile and worked over the weekends to ensure my project was delivered within our tight timelines. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Razom’s entrepreneurial spirit and creativity make them stand out from their competitors. I also liked that I was able to work with the owners directly; it spoke to their dedication to accountability as a team. They never delivered something they weren’t proud of. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think Razom’s becoming a little expensive for me to work with again — the price tag becoming too high for the work they’re offering. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers need to build a relationship with Razom based on mutual understanding and trust.

I’m the CEO of Beaming Health. We’re a digital health company that helps parents of kids with autism navigate healthcare.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Razom?

Our objective was to launch our MVP by the end of October.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Razom is the full-stack development team working on our site. They’ve built our website from the ground up. We work with a designer in Figma to put together wireframes, and their team builds them. Basically, they’ve taken all of our requirements and made the exact site we’ve been looking for.

What is the team composition?

We have a lead point of contact. Underneath him, we have two frontend developers and one backend developer. We communicate weekly with our lead contact to discuss the number of hours worked and that kind of issues, but he stays out of the weeds.

On the other hand, one of the frontend developers leads the weekly meetings — he’s more the main point of contact as far as the actual work goes.

How did you come to work with Razom?

We found them online through contractor sites.

How much have you invested with them?

It’s close to $60,000 now.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our partnership in July 2021, and we have plans to continue with them until the spring of 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We initially had many different requirements, but we still met the launch date and even included additional features that weren’t part of the original scope. Razom has done a great job, and they’ve been flexible.

From the product side, Razom has crushed it. Our most prominent metrics have been just the speed of development and communication, and they’ve been good at supporting us and building a great product. We’ve been live for a few weeks now, and the overall consumer feedback has been positive — people like the functionality and design, and they say it looks sleek and professional.

How did Razom perform from a project management standpoint?

Since we’re a small startup, we’ve been more relaxed about sprint planning. We have weekly calls to go through the roadmap and what they’ll work on during the week, but we haven’t been super diligent about it.

We have channels on Slack and Jira to communicate, and they’ll let us know if they have any questions. Also, we can see pretty clearly what they’ve done, and we do some QA to make sure it was built right. Then, we go back and forth between Slack and Jira to fix the errors.

We’ve used Zoom for our weekly meetings, but now we’re transitioning to do everything through Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Communication is outstanding. They’re very proactive and solution-oriented — if there’s an issue, they raise it, so we’re never surprised by anything. Also, sometimes we miss certain requirements or don’t give enough clarity, and they come with an idea for a solution, which is really helpful.

Moreover, they’re receptive to feedback. We’ve worked with developers in the past that have a locked idea on how to do things, and it creates a contentious environment. On the other hand, Razom’s team is highly collaborative — sometimes they push back on certain ideas, but they still want to build the product right, so our overall relationship is really positive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we’ve had a positive experience. Many of my colleagues have asked me who we’re working with, and I’ve been hesitant to share because I like working with Razom and don’t want them to get poached.

However, if we end up bringing in more in-house developers by springtime, I look forward to connecting Razom with other friends of mine. They’ve seen the quality of the work, and I’m sure they’d love to work with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It has been helpful o have our own designer around. They have designers on their team, but they’re more focused on front- and backend development, so it’s nice to come with Figma wireframes that are ready to go.

Overall, just set up similar communication structures and come in with your vision and a prepared list of requirements.

I'm CMO at online restaurant. We cook food in our dark kitchens and then deliver orders to the clients.

For what projects/services did your company hire Razom, and what were your goals?

Our site and applications were outdated and had an awkward design. Therefore, we decided to contact a company that could make a modern user-friendly design for the site and applications and develop them.

SOLUTION

How did you select Razom and what were the deciding factors?

This vendor was recommended to us by our friends who developed branding for us. They organized a meeting between us and Razom, so we decided to entrust them with the design and development of the site. Unfortunately, they could not deal with the development of applications, so for this purpose we had to look for other vendor.

We met several times and described all our wishes and expectations from the new site. Then the chief designer and his assistant developed the initial version of the website design. We gave feedback, they made edits and made a full version of the design in figma. When the design was ready and we approved it, the project manager and developer joined the project.

They started developing a web version of the site. At this time, the designers were developing the mobile version of the site and the admin panel. Also, the design of the applications was done quite quickly, thanks to which we were able to start developing them in parallel with the development of the site.

Unfortunately, application developers from another company did their job poorly, so we again turned to Razom for help and they were able to find an ios developer who fixed all the problems.

How many people from the Razom team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Chief designer, designer made UI/UX design for website and apps. Profect manager helped us with every question. Also there were web developer and ios developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our site we saw >50% increase of traffic. Еhe number of website orders increased by 30%. Also, many customers gave positive feedback on the new design. And they said that now it is much more convenient to use the applications and the site.

We really enjoyed communicating with the guys. They are always online and answered any questions we have in Telegram. When we launched the site, the developer was in touch with us until 3 a.m.

We liked the communication with the guys and their professionalism. we easily found a common language with them and they were able to realize all our desires.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We would be much more comfortable if Razom initially had application developers and we did not have to turn to another vendor.
