We had experienced a tremendous loss in business due to a combination of issues that took place 12 months prior. We “upgraded” our website and 2 months after going live with the upgrade, Google made a major algorithm change that exposed the fact that the developer who had done the upgrade did not use best practices. After a disastrous website upgrade/migration experience done by an incompetent site developer our rankings with all the search engines went from a very strong position, after 15 years of being in business and ranking on page one for most of those 15 years, to not showing up on the radar at all. The challenge before us was to first figure out what happened and why, then to find an agency with the technical skills to get us back on top. We worked with 3 different agencies over the next 12 months after the upgrade and each said they could help us, but none of them could improve our situation at all.

First to figure out “what” happened and “why”. Then to get back onto page one of the search engines as quickly as possible to stop the bleeding of lost revenue.

How did you select this vendor?

We had to find someone that had the technical savvy, that was honest, and we could trust to do what they said they could do. We were contacted directly from a company that vets SEO and PPC agencies on behalf of small businesses like ours and matches an agency that they believe best suits the problem that needs to be solved. Because of recent experiences we were skeptical. But they explained their vetting process and showed us examples of success stories that looked like where we were coming from at the time. They were not pushy. They answered all our questions and concerns and made us feel comfortable in moving forward with their recommendation.

We filled out the usual questionnaire that gave them our background information, explaining what we “thought” had happened to us. What came next is what has made the difference. They were able to look back historically at our rankings and they explained to us what had really happened, in laymen terms. No previous agency had ever done that. You must know what is truly wrong before you can attack and solve the problem.

They proposed a plan to systematically improve the meta data on our site while we worked on improving our content, in house, so we could gain back authority that we had lost 12-16 months prior. Each month, via a phone meeting and shared screen, we review the results of each of our efforts. The phone meeting is very informative and NOT a waste of time, as has been the case with the previous agencies we have worked with.

We work closely with a project manager that communicates incredibly well and he in turn uses his support staff when needed to answer questions or solve challenges as they may come up.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were ranking on page 6-10 on various key terms, and now we are ranking on page 1. Many keywords that we ranked in the top 1-3 positions on page 1 for many years have been pushed to page 2 or further back, we realize it will take time to recover. There has been a dramatic increase in the number of online quote requests, orders and phone calls as a result of visitors to the site.

Traffic to our site has increased overall. There has also been a lot more engagement with our blogs and an increase in the number of our social media followers, as we have taken their advice to focus on improving our content and doing it in-house as apposed to paying someone to do it for us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Incredible! They are amazingly responsive when replying to emails or returning calls and never waste your time when you interact with them during monthly phone meetings. And they have a knack for putting technical issues into laymen terms.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have done what they said they were going to do! What a novel idea, eh? After 15 years of dealing with multiple agencies in this SEO & PPC arena and most recently in the last 12-16 months dealing with agencies that knew the current challenges we were dealing with but could not make a difference for us. What a HUGE disappointment and a HUGE amount of time and money wasted. FINALLY, a company that can deliver results! They do what they say they are going to do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing could be done any better, except I wish we could have met up with them 15 years ago...at the very least 16 months ago. This has been a first class, positive experience!

We talked with a number of agencies. Many were doing the same thing that we’d done in the past. We wanted to find a solution that pushed the envelope and would give us a competitive advantage. Radd’s search engine spider looked like something that would help us take our business to the next level. This has helped in more than just SEO but through our recent migration process as well.

We started off with a series of meetings to familiarize them with our business model and the industry we were in. A few months later we were adding many keywords to perform very well and they adapted us with the challenging algorithm changes which always showed smooth transitions and not losing any substantial traffic.

As a direct result of Radd’s efforts, we’ve seen continued 1st-page growth. Despite some general website struggles, independent from Radd’s team, we’ve still been able to maintain our SEO presence. We are currently going through a site migration and having Radd’s years of knowledge has only added to their value.

I’ve had a single account manager throughout the length of the campaign who communicates daily with Radd’s analyst team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Radd continues to grow with the ever-changing industry. There’s something to be said for the stability that they’ve brought our company. In my daily tasks, one of the few things that are consistent is Radd’s work and communication.

What challenge were you trying to address with Radd Interactive?

I hired Radd Interactive to help improve my SEO rankings after I switched from an archaic e-commerce platform to WooCommerce. The switch caused the longevity I had established in my Google rankings to fall, so I needed someone to help get my site's SEO back to where it was before.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

The work was all organically done. Radd Interactive took my site and made tweaks to the wording and content so that Google would pick my site back up. 

What is the team composition? 

I had one go-to person who managed my account and checked in with me monthly to show me my progress. Behind the scenes, I don’t know how many people were working on my project.

I initially found them through gro.team, which sent me a mini DVD presentation. I liked the presentation, and they set me up with Radd Interactive.

I initially put down a $2,000 deposit, and they charged me $1,500 every month since. After a year of work, they dropped the charge to $1,200.

I started working with Radd Interactive in August 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I definitely have a lot more traffic to my site. My rankings have surpassed where they were before they fell, and I now make page one for a growing list of keywords. My business is strong across the metrics. We use Google Reports to show traffic, strong keywords, page views, and other metrics.

How did Radd Interactive perform from a project management standpoint

We go over my metrics in a monthly report. They’re always very responsive. I haven’t reached out to them too many times, but when I have had a request or two, they get back to me right away.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve proved themselves to be transparent, and they have shown that they can do what they set out to do. Their pitch isn’t a bunch of baloney—what they promised really happened.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They show me which keywords have made the first search page. However, there is no tracking system about which keywords have fallen off the first page. Their technology doesn’t seem to be able to show me what happens with certain keywords over time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You have to give them time to work. SEO is not something you’ll see overnight success with. You have to have patience and be committed to giving it a chance.

Our goal was to find a partner that could help us improve sales while also increasing brand exposure. Sine we went through a major re-branding in 2017, we wanted to ensure that our website was in good hands. In addition, we wanted to work to improve our paid media performance on an ongoing basis.

Radd provided an in-depth service for SEO that covered the migration and rebranding. We partnered with Radd on the Google PPC side in 2018 to help increase sales even more and improve our brand awareness across multiple channels. Since then, we’ve seen increases in both SEO and PPC nearly every single month since we’ve been with them.

For paid media Radd works to deliver our brand messaging to the right persona at the right time. They manage everything in the account including creating ads, testing, experimenting, etc. They also provide on-page SEO for our website and make updates on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The goal is to help generate more exposure, more sales, and push more keyword rankings onto the first page.

The teams are made up of groups of people for both SEO and PPC. Each group has specialists that work on different components of either SEO or PPC.

Our ROI has improved significantly since joining with Radd interactive for both SEO and PPC. Since joining them in 2017, our organic traffic has increased by about 75% and our organic revenue has increased by nearly 60%, compared to the previous period. Our paid media revenue has increased by 200% period over period since joining Radd Interactive.

We have one project manager who manages the campaign at Radd Interactive. Their systems are buttoned down and effective. We’ve been pleased with communication and their process.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We really enjoy working with Radd Interactive over the years. They’re always pushing innovation and working towards improving performance every single month. Their proprietary technology is instrumental in helping us improve our brand awareness and revenue. We’ve really been impressed with their Account Management team and the way they’ve handled our campaigns.

We have noticed a steady increase in traffic and revenue from our organic search.

Everything runs very smoothly, have not ran into any bottlenecks or any problems when dealing with Radd Interactive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They will log into our website themselves to make the changes. Many SEO companies will just send over a sheet with what changes need to be made but they handle most everything themselves, which is amazing.

Are there any areas for improvement?

One area of improvement I talked with my rep about was we needed more fresh content to add to our site. I thought this was asking a lot but they started writing new content once a week for our website and adding it themselves. Which is something that we are very happy about.

Each month we gain approximately 10 new first page rankings for new keywords.

We use Zoom for monthly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I actually enjoy our meetings each month. I feel as though our concerns and questions are handled professionally and tactfully. Personally I prefer to know as much as possible about the projects I am involved in. I have never once felt like I could not ask a question. We are given suggestions on how we can continually improve as well as kept abreast of new changes within Google's algorithm for SEO so we can stay competitive.

 I’ve only been working on the project for a few years, but it started around 2015 and has been ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

While I don’t have any metrics, we experience a consistent amount of growth. We always see an impact on our search results and it has never been static. I get really excited to look at the analytics with our account manager every month. I am confident that we will see more growth as long as we use them.

Although we have a formal contract, they regularly go above and beyond their scope of work.

It is a collaborative, team effort. They are friendly and easy to work with. I know that I am able to reach out with any questions, and they will help me learn and understand.

While the results we have achieved have been measurable we also are very impressed with the overall systems they use to manage our account. Every detail seems to be covered at all times.

I always work with my account rep and the owner as needed. My account rep also works well with many of our team members. We have had the same representative for over four years now.

Some of our keywords were on page 10 when we started with Radd Interactive and now we are on page 1-2. Our site is now user friendly and we have seen a significant improvement on traffic. They have also helped us maintain our page 1 ranking on several of our keywords.

Their team is extremely flexible and can work well with the owner and all team members. There are many avenues of communicating with them and they are quick to respond. I call or message them anytime that we need to address an issue.
