We had an integration project what we couldn't handle with our team. The goal was to create an API that can be used in a specific integration and reusable with other systems integration.

We have shortlisted 3 companies based on their references and offers. We decided to work with R-Szoft because both at the management and developer level, they understood the business need and were able the handle the project also involving a product owner. Chemistry also worked from the first moment.

R-Szoft designed and developed a software project with a hybrid development team. The project goal was to allow customer integration with REST API interface.

With the integration, we gained access to more customers, and we can offer easy integration for other partners as well.

R-Szoft product owner managed the communication with both sides. We had regular meetings about business aspects, daily/weekly standups with developers. WE used slack/jira/confluence as communication channels and also for documentation.

The team and especially the product owner was very professional, prepared, and meanwhile very human and cooperative.

For what projects/services did your company hire R-Szoft Ltd., and what were your goals?

We worked together in a major IT transformation program where the team had to build a new middleware layer on top of a completely new backed integration layer, to serve multiple customer facing channels.

How did you select R-Szoft Ltd. and what were the deciding factors?

We selected R-Szoft Ltd after a series of interviews with vendor candidates. The lead developer colleague's experience, approach and personality was the deciding factor.

The first step was to prepare a high level design and interface agreements for the different channels.

After the approval of the designs, the team set up the development environment, CI/CD (Bamboo, SonarQube, jFrog) and release process (Automic auto deployment to OKD based containerized environment) and defined key KPIs in terms of quality and performance.

During the build phase they built a new middleware component of standardized Java functional microservices (Tele Management Forum) and journey services responsible for business logic and orchestration. They used Spring for development framework and Redis for caching.

At the end, functional and system integration tests were carried out before delivering to the test teams.

The team consisted of 5 experts. A Senior developer acting as Lead developer, 2 Senior developers one of them acting as Solution Architect as well, a Medior and a Junior developer,

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Security, performance and stability KPIs were met, the team received minimal number of defects during the test phases. Most of the requests were changes, or enhancements that came out during user testing.

Since the team also implemented a configuration UI, for the solution, most of the requests were addressable with almost zero extra effort.

The team followed an agile approach. Priorities were defined at the beginning of each sprint. The project was managed in Jira and Confluence (documentation mainly), with communication happening in Slack, Skype and occasionally Teams.

Every team member worked very precisely and proactively. communication with partner teams was excellent. They always handled business or technical stakeholders with respect and a supportive approach.

They had a solid reference on the enterprise software delivery market, and they could also offer to finish the project as prescheduled..

The scope was to deliver multiple custom software parts, in different technologies (Java, Sql, Angular, SSO, PHP, Wordpress) but all integrated seamlessly with existing systems. They also provided the required detailed design documents, the development test cases with execution.

We have worked closed together with a Product Owner and a Line Manager as well with a head Frontend and Backend developers. The total team size was 8 people including provided QA.

Their team also provided scope refinement and analysis first hand. Their managed to cover the base timeline of the project in well defined number of sprints within the preliminary expectations. The technical solutions handled very well the complex business integration issues as well.

They were open to new ideas, face to face meetings and communications were used in Agile processes. Weekly meetings with the enduser helped us to be in line with the actual Sprint results and issues raised.

They had a very straightforward and direct approach to the project, everything was put always to the table, and discussed as possible. In a sentence: Quick reactions and quality work delivered.

We were overall impressed by they agility and openness. Maybe they could consider to adapt more to slower customer processes if needed.

R-Szoft works well with our internal team as well as with our End Client. They quickly adapted from a technical perspective, advancing in skills and experience over the course of the engagement.

They work well with us and articulate themselves clearly. Our lead engineer has given good feedback on R-Szoft’s work.

We use JIRA Tasks and Skype to communicate. We have meetings almost daily to stay on top of progress.
