QED Ltd developed a website for us. It was a full stack website where we gave them the results of the algorithm we created, and they turned that into something that could receive visitors using Google Maps API.

We found them through a freelancing platform. We chose them because of the communication of our first calls; they seemed straightforward, and it was easy to get our ideas across, which can be challenging with offshore providers.

We’ve spent around $18,000 with them so far.

We worked together from November–December 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For me, having a working admin page to monitor our customer visits was proof of the project's success.
How did QED Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was perfect; we had weekly meetings where they explained the progress and plans for the project, and there never was a time when they didn’t deliver something. In terms of communication, we used emails and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication and ability to understand our complex requirements were outstanding. They were able to translate what we needed for the UX’s look and feel into an actual working code. Overall, we noticed that there was a lot of thinking behind their choices, which was important to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on; their process was smooth, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a strong idea of what you want the UX to look like. Also, be clear about your requirements for it in terms of the functions of each element of the website.

I hired QED to help design and build the software that was the sole commercial offering of the company. The project was a SaaS/cloud-based software package designed to help IT departments perform true strategic project budgeting rather than the traditional ad hoc patterns. QED did all of the design and build of the software platform over the course of a few months with tweaks and refinements over the year from customer feedback.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The software was amazing. They did a fabulous job designing what I wanted and building a robust, scalable, sustainable app from the design. I was the principal architect and had the vision, but what I needed, they implemented. However, they were not shy to offer alternatives if they thought something I was asking for could be done better. This was the best outcome imaginable for me.

We typically used Slack and to a lesser extent e-mail. Communication was always prompt. While I worked in the US Pacific time zone and QED was Central Europe, that never slowed down my project. Our interplay was ideal.

The implementation pace, follow-up, and overall care from a company that didn't "own" the product were fabulous.

Nope.

First of all we heard great recommendations for the company, and after organizing the initial meeting we were very satisfied with their proposals, professionalism, and ideas for the website.

After the initial meeting, and once we sent them all the materials they were ready to start. Our key demand was that the website should be delivered in a very short deadline. My team and I approached various other developers, however, these developers were either too expensive or would take too long to develop our app. I then reached out to QED and decided to go with them as they offered a great price for development and a quick project duration.

The QED team has fully developed our mobile app and IT infrastructure. The quality of the app and the general UX and UI is brilliant, the QED team really outdid themselves in every aspect of the app.

The team at QED was very easy to communicate with on all communication channels and were available 24/7. The team is also very polite and friendly and go out of their way in order to help and perfect the project!!

I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism the team took in order to bring my project to life. They are also very trustful and are true to their word and have immense attention to detail! I am extremely happy with QED and will definitely be working with them again!!!

We used QED to assist us with primarily project management and leading a team based out of Vietnam. Anto the Founder and CEO has been doing a outstanding job leading the team in Vietnam as well as his own team for certain features which the outsourcing team can not perform due to lack of experience.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The deciding factor for us was the commitment and time difference. Due to us being 6 hours behind, this was a crucial part for us. As soon as we found him, we new he was right one!

QED is in charge of the following:

• Managing all software on AWS making sure that the entire infrastructure is secure.
• DevOps. - Ensuring that the data architecture is solid.
• All API connections with Zum Rails for example and Plaid who will be playing a critical role in the business , including any other external services such as Twilio and Docusign
• In charge of production and pushing/merging requests from the tech team in Vietnam.
• Cross checking all code daily to ensure that it is of high quality. (QA)

Our point of contact at QED is Anto and he sets out the work with his team on bi-weekly sprints. The following people from his internal team assist Anto:

Due to this, everything is very much in sync with one another, leading to greater efficiency and productivity.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Given the size of the project, we do not have many delays in general. QED simply has had everything under control and are trying their very best to ensure that the deliverables from the team in Vietnam are done on time and of quality.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It is very easy communicating with QED since we do everything via Slack for daily issues/comments. We use Jira for tickets. AirTable for document storage.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are extremely knowledgeable in what they do. Each person at QED has a specific set of skills and together makes them able to perform tasks much quicker and much more efficient, in comparison to other companies/people.

Furthermore, they are extremely due diligent overall. They constantly want to ensure that the quality of code is good before any of it goes into production.

To be honest, no.

We wanted to develop a mobile solution for buyers and suppliers to connect and interact similar to social media. QED Ltd. was hired for graphic design, mobile development, database management and api integrations with our partners.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have been working with QED Ltd. before on a web application of a much wider scope. The original contact was made upon recommendation. Deciding factors were flexibility, competence and deep understanding of infrastructural needs for such systems.

After online and face to face meetings we shared a non technical specifications file and samples for wire frames. Within a matter of days we received the first design suggestions, gave our feedback and approximately two weeks later we had 90 % of the UI/UX ready.

The ongoing development was accompanied with obgoing dialog and feedback which QED Ltd. adjusted to rapidly and outstandingly well. Beta testing was done on an ongoing basis for all features built step by step. Before the launch we had a three day face-to-face testing and instant adjustments while on sight.

We have been using messaging services and slack for the ongoing communication. WED Ltd. was extremely responsive and ready for dialog throughout the whole development progress.

Their flexibility and level of communication were perfect for our way of working. Additionally, QED Ltd. has been outstanding at understanding our needs and was permanently offering and suggesting feasible solutions to our needs. The deep understanding of development infrastructure but also the business side of things made it for us.
