What was the scope of their involvement?

First, I met with our end client to determine their website development needs. Then, we engaged Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd to set up a time frame and roadmap to build the website. Then, the team developed a website for our end client using WordPress because the client’s team was proficient in it.   

The website is quite typical, featuring several tabs, including an ‘About Us’ and an ‘Information’ tab. Our end client provided the content, including pictures and service descriptions. We went back and forth with the end client to provide updates and ensure they were satisfied with the product.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd successfully developed the website, and our end customer was pleased with the work. As a result of the team’s efforts, our end customer has referred other clients to us. Partnering with Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd helped us network with other businesses and gain repeat clientele.

How did Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

We managed the project, but Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd met deadlines and communicated effectively via WhatsApp. We also had daily meetings via Zoom. We relied on our end customer to provide the content, so we worked around their schedule, which sometimes caused delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their web development and communication skills impressed me the most. They provided me with constant updates regarding the project status.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing they could improve on.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They deliver good work and are very knowledgeable. The solutions are pretty complex but the Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd team develops them quickly. They make good suggestions before we start working.

I rely on them for most of the Microsoft Office365 projects, and I’m satisfied with what they deliver. If they say something isn’t feasible on a platform, they tell us upfront before starting the project.

Project management is good. Their team delivers on time. They’re always available during the late night to accommodate our US schedule.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a quick turnaround time and are honest in their estimated billing hours. Their team delivers on or ahead of time. There’s not a lot of rework.

There’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Have your requirements pretty detailed. Be prepared to answer all of their questions. They know what consequences some things will cause and are ready to ask all these questions.

What challenge were you trying to address with Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd?

We usually outsource the workload our in-house developers can’t handle, and that’s what brought Provitious to the table.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We outsourced an entire project to Provitious for developing a package delivery hub. We gave them the requirements, and they handled the full design and development.

The hub has three user types: senders, riders, and recipients. The sender can enter the recipient’s address and the package details. After the order is launched, the hub will look for nearby riders. When one is located, they’ll get an alert and choose to accept it. The rider will be shown the address on their app, pick up the item, then start the trip. After the package is delivered, the recipient will be prompted to pay through the integrated payment gateway.

The server-side backend was coded in PHP, and the frontend was done in React.

Swapnil (Director of Global Sales Operations) was my main point of contact, and he has a team of developers working for him.

The project cost was $5,000–$10,000, including additional work.

We worked with Provitious between March–June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were satisfied with their work. The rider app installs successfully from a local file, but we experienced some problems with users downloading it from the Play Store. We’re trying to fix this issue now. We’ve seen some bugs, but Provitious has been responsive to fixing them. I’m overall happy with their work.

How did Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Swapnil is very communicative and approachable, and we could talk to him any time, despite the time difference. The team delivered within budget, but they were at least two weeks behind schedule.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication was the best part of working with them. I’ve worked with other external developers, and it was very difficult to communicate with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could manage their process and deadlines better by using project management tools. They should improve bug tracking and test everything before delivering to the client. There were cases where an issue we’d reported was still present by the time they delivered the software.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d advise whoever wants to work with them to set the pace and to specify what collaboration tools they want to use, like Trello and Asana. It’s important to use issue logs in order to ensure that everything is solved. I also advise not giving them two projects at the same time, because they might not have the capacity for it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd?

The goal of the project was to help me develop an app for people trying to create morning routines.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided them with rough layouts and designs of the screens that I was looking for along with descriptions of the functionalities on each screen, and all of the content that they needed. From there, they handled the full-stack process of developing the app in a hybrid language to make it accessible on both iOS and Android.

They started by building the admin portal that I could use to access the content on the app. From there, they created the nine modules inside the application itself, each one of which represents a habit. The first one is hydration, the second is a journal, and so on. Some of the modules became more challenging because of the specific requirements, but they were able to complete them all.

They have about eight people on their team working on their projects, but I had one main point of contact for all of the work.

I found their team on UpWork and decided to move forward with them based on the success of our initial conversations.

How much have you invested with them?

We started off with a budget of $3,500 and added a few features over the course of the project so I ended up paying a total of $4,100.

The project ran from October 2019–June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched the app in July 2020, and it is doing very well so far. I’m getting a lot of positive reviews, especially with regard to how much people love the overall simplicity of the features. The Provitious team has also been on hand to make sure that we don’t have any issues with the usage of the app post-launch. So far, we haven’t had any major problems like crashes at all.

How did Provitious Technologies Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very organized throughout the entire process, so every week I would receive a completed module that we could discuss the breakdown and design elements and tweak them until I was completely satisfied. I could not have asked for a more committed or patient team on their end.

We used WhatsApp, Skype, and email as our main forms of communication, and sent files back and forth via Google Drive whenever we needed a more direct form of feedback on writing and images and more visual elements like that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My project manager really invested time making sure that he understood my platform and how users would interact with it so that they could best address those goals in the development process. That was critical for me since it was my first venture into app development, and it really helped the product to deliver the experience that I was aiming for in the end.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement, including how I handled the project myself. One area was that we ran into a hiccup with the payment portal for in-app purchases. They had created a module that I initially didn’t think we needed and then caused us some problems with getting accepted into the app store. Despite that, their team was completely willing to work with us to fix all of the issues and make sure that we were eventually approved, so I wasn’t unhappy with them at all.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I cannot recommend this team enough, because they do great work, and their pricing is unbelievable for the market, especially if you’re coming out of the US. To be able to find that price point from a team that actually has your best interests in mind across every detail of the entire development, and takes initiative in making decisions is absolutely priceless.
