I'm the marketing director at an IT service company. We provide ERP software solutions to distilleries and will be branching into breweries and wineries this year.

We hired Promoshin to create an animated 60 second explainer video

What were your goals for this project?

Our plan was to have this video to either send to prospects and to showcase on our website.

How did you select Promoshin?

Our CEO and prior marketing director had already initiated contact with Promoshin, however I did my own research as well. I wanted to go with Promoshin because of their price point and quality.

I'd already written a script draft before we got involved with Promoshin but they provided some editing. They would've been more involved in the script writing had I not already written a draft prior.

I filled out an online questionnaire about our company, tone, voice, competitors, features, brand guidelines, and so on. From there they presented a story board and voice artist selections.

Once everything was approved they moved to animating and provided drafts until it was perfect.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

I had 2 project managers and an account executive. They were very communicative. They always let me know what was being worked on and when to expect an update.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We don't yet have impact metrics. Our team is very excited about the video. And our stakeholders loved it. They thought it very professional, fresh, and entertaining.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project managers were fantastic. They communicated with me through a single email thread which made it simple to review prior communication and documents if I needed.

They were great at communicating the changes I was looking for and interpreting my thoughts to their team of illustrators and animators.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I am very impressed with the amount of communication and quick turnaround on edits.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I really didn't have any problems at all throughout the process. Everything went really well and they finished before our expected date.

We needed a professional Video to explain our App at low costs for the App-Store, social media..etc.

We wanted to look more professional and catch peoples attention with only seeing the video.

How did you select Promoshin?

We were first looking for a Company in Switzerland wich turned out to be very expensive so we kept looking online and found promoshin. Immediately we scheduled a call and got started very quick.

We discussed together what the goal is and what type of Video we wanted. So, then we gave them all the screenshots from the App we had at this moment and they showed us what they think would be the best solution.

Me and my team then went over and started correcting and noting down the things that didn't look as we wanted and I gave promoshin our feedback. In a very short period of time, they had a new solution or draft of the video ready for us wich we then discussed internally with the team again.

The project then went so on and the great thing about promoshin is that they offer free and unlimited adjustments of the video which were great for us because as a start-up things change quickly and there are always little changes to make.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

It was always me emailing back and forth with the project manager of promoshin and exchanging feedback and new drafts. I never had contact with anybody from their team that produced the video. Maybe this is different in other types of Video (with actors maybe).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had the video shown to some of our close advisors and customers and they really liked it. For now we haven't uploaded our app to the App Store so I can't give any feedback on how it's going to react there.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Promoshin was always really fast in giving feedback and providing us new drafts. Me and my team we still had to work on other jobs besides so we couldn't always meet to review the video and get promos hin a quick feedback. Thats the reason why our video took so long to finish but that's on us and we we're really happy promoshin understood our situation as a start-up and never turned down any of our ideas and thoughts.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Speed and Price with great quality! I didn't know this would exist because we had a bad experience with company's doing the opposite. That's what's really impressive about promoshin and we're going to work with them again as soon as we need any new content they can create for us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think the only thing they could have done better in our project was giving more about what they think is good. My team and I had Ideas wich the immediately implemented but I would have hoped sometimes to get a little more feedback from them if they think this is a good thing to implement or not or how to do differently because they're the pro in this business.

Maybe this was just a sort of miscommunication and they offer this for other projects. But other than that there is really nothing I can think of that they could have done better in our project.

We assessed a number of suppliers, and found Promoshin to be the best value for cost. Their experience and portfolio gave us confidence that the output would be excellent.

The process was very simple. We supplied a brief outlining script, pacing, and frames of animation, together with specific animation details. They provide excellent service, and were in regular communication about progress, changes, edits, and updates.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

We provided email feedback on each frame (which was numbered), and communication was straightforward with no issues. Promoshin were able to interpret our needs without extensive calls or emails.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

A auality explainer video that outlines our brand propositions. The timeliness also was a great help. Promoshin were responsive, and met deadlines.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. They managed expectations well, and provide updates on progress, and when timelines needed to be adjusted. We didn't use any tools, simply communicated via email.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their service, and willingness to perfect the designs and animations until their clients are happy was impressive. Their communication skill are strong, and they did not require length or extended calls just to interpret client needs and requirements.

We wanted a video to describe the benefits of a complex investigative service that includes certain technology. We wanted to explain the benefits of the service in a video so even a person not involved in the industry could understand the benefits and would like to know more.

Our goals were to develop a video that was less than two minutes in duration and could cover all of the benefits of our service.

Our project manager was very helpful in developing the storyboard and was there for any questions we had. What I appreciated most was that we never felt pressured or rushed because we had numerous edits and changes throughout the process.

We have not used the video yet because we are going to use it with other marketing.

We wanted a clean, simple video that was precise. We also were working under a specific deadline.

After considering 10+ companies, we decided to go with Promoshin because they were not only budget friendly, their team was helpful, but they could work with our shorter deadline at no extra cost.

The video storyboard reveals broken aspects of Catholic dating up until this point and the solutions that Catholic Singles offers. We worked through multiple stages of the project with Promoshin, including scripts, story boarding, voice overs, and music background.

We worked with a production team with unlimited revision opportunities. Email feedback was conducted mostly via email.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We now have a great animated video to share on social media, with new members, and throughout our website! This is a success.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with Promoshin's speed and accuracy at requested revisions. Whether it was color, tone, music, or video feel, we got exactly what we wanted and the revisions were produced with great speed.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only complaint I have is that emails (and follow up emails) from their team landed in my spam folder and we lost about a week of production time. i would have appreciated a call after the week mark to make sure emails were landing in my inbox.

What challenge were you trying to address with Promoshin?

We needed assistance with marketing and advertising.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Promoshin provided me with an arsenal of content to get my company out there and to establish a social network. They asked me a series of about 50 questions about what I wanted and the message of my company. I initially asked them for a quick, 17-second promotional video, which we used on various social platforms, included but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Ads.

I was able to choose voice actors from a plethora of samples of different accents, including Australian, American, British, and some regional variants like southern US.

The video explained my application, which is designed to assist users with daily tasks and goal setting through an automated prioritization matrix. 

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with 4–5 people from Promoshin overall, and Ben (Founder & Animation Producer) has been my main point of contact. 

How did you come to work with Promoshin?

I found them on a freelancing platform that I’d used in the past and trusted. Promoshin was the third marketing and advertising agency I found, and I cross-referenced them with different companies and review sites, including Clutch. I couldn’t deny the quality of their work, their website was extremely user friendly, and they could start almost immediately.

How much have you invested with them?

The promotional video cost us about $1,300. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Promoshin in late-August 2020, and the first project ended in mid-August. They produced the first work within three weeks. I’m still working with them, and they’re slated to produce at least 12 promotional content pieces per month.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With Promoshin’s content, I was able to establish a social network that’s helped me greatly so far. The initial promotional video they did for me worked extremely well. The metrics I got back from it were way better than anything I could’ve predicted. It brought me new users I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. I’d recommend Promoshin to anyone.

The video they created got 5,400 views, 102 likes, 400 profile visits, two website clicks, and 26 new accounts reached in a week. It was much more successful overall than my previous creations.

Promoshin was able to convey my core message extremely well. They were able to produce a video that was far beyond my initial expectations. There was very little in terms of corrections from my part.  

How did Promoshin perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re extremely accommodating, professional, and quick to respond. Promoshin has a quick way of drawing in the resources to produce what I desire.

They were able to pull together their resources quickly and efficiently, and their outreach was prompt. 

The video was supposed to be 15 seconds long, but I expanded it to 17. They told me that the cost would normally increase because of that, but they were very kind and didn’t change the price.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to produce quality content efficiently and quickly was most impressive. They got the process streamlined in a way that I don’t think their competitors come close to. I got estimates for 1–2 months for this video, and it only took them three weeks. This shows that they’re professional and know what they’re doing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any constructive criticism for them.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should be prepared for not having to have much oversight. Promoshin can oversee the whole process, and there’s very little need for the client to correct them. They know what they’re doing, and they always know how to get the message across.

I researched businesses that delivered animations and Promishin was the best one I found. Their client list is impressive, a mix of large corporations and small businesses. I met Ben online and discussed the project he he listened to our sales model, understood it quickly then quoted a price that was competitive and we jumped at the deal.

It’s a video to promise security solution and it tells the story of a property owner and how we helped. The process was step by step, at each point Promoshin gave us feedback and suggestions - nothing was too much trouble.

Step by step process, where Bens project manager gave us the decisions we needed to make and the next steps. These guys know what they are doing.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We just deployed the animation and we e had a lot of hits. It’s a little too soon to say it’s been generating sales but so far so good.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their project manager was great, they moved swiftly and listened to us - and had patience when we doubled back a couple of steps after a change of our animation “story”.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Very communicative and nothing was too much trouble. Great people to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement?

To be honest - no! We could have been better at making decisions - but it was our first video and they were very patient with us.

SOLUTION

How did you select Promoshin?

After reviewing 3 other vendors, I decided on Promoshin for their good animation, a strong portfolio of clients, price, and duration of the video (a lot of agencies charge higher for the 60s but Promoshin was more affordable and up to 90s). They were also very prompt in answering my initial inquiries.

They called me to understand more about Promoshin and the company I represent. Followed up with a questionnaire to fill in details necessary for the video. I could see their effort in understanding our business and using our color theme in the video.

They provided us frames accompanied by the script to illustrate how the video will play out which made it easy to input feedback and changes. The team also worked very fast and is very patient.

What was the team composition?

I worked with 3 people from Promoshin side. The first is the Chief Promotion Officer who contacted me and answered my initial questions, also the person who sent me a followed up email after the project was completed. The other two I believe were project managers.

We will be embedding it on our website with plans to upload on Youtube as well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I felt it was smooth. I provided them feedback via PowerPoint slides and they did the changes very promptly. However, perhaps it's just the issue of timezone difference. When I feedback early in the week (e.g Monday/Tuesday), the changes come in a few days later (E.g Thursday/Friday).

I need time to review it with my boss but the project manager sends me a follow-up email for my feedback again over the weekends or early Monday before my boss has time review properly. The reminder emails are great but on the wrong day.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are very professional, fast, and patient. They also have an extensive list of Voice Actors to choose from. I illustrated some very simple drawings they can refer to but they actually design it in more detail than I expected.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Perhaps take the time difference into account when sending follow up/reminder emails. Other than everything about Promoshin is good! I would choose them again if my boss ever needs more animation videos in the future.

The process began with a video consultation as to what my requirements were. To put a face to the process was extremely beneficial. I filled out a detailed online questionnaire as to my requirements for the video.

I has a very short time line. A few days later, I was sent a script and once this was edited and approved, the artwork followed shortly thereafter. Production time was four weeks (a week ahead of schedule)!

Our goal was that our customers see our product and understand what it is and how it works. Make them quickly identify the advantage of using ZENFIYAH in their grills and how they can help out the planet while grilling their favorite foods.

I searched online for video producers and found a few companies and freelancers doing the job. We were aware of the quality of videos we wanted to have for our product, so we narrow down for the best options and decide PROMOSHIN was the winner.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We uploaded the video recently on our website and now we are producing a second video specific for social media channels. Since we uploaded the video the number of newsletter subscribers increased by 30% to 40% in the last weeks (our website is informative website no e-commerce). If we decide to change the website to e-commerce I'm sure the video produced will help us even more.

The communication with Ben and George was smooth, easy, and professional. They worked hard to meet the deadlines and even during the pandemic situation they managed to be on time with the jobs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I liked how organized they have the process to produce the video.

If they can do the video faster always help, but the quality is what matters to us so all good.
