We hired Promoshin to create a 2-minute explainer video to help us market our flagship product, CyberSTAR. While we have people on our staff who might be able to create a passable version, our capacity was maxed out, and we just needed someone with experience who could knock the project out for us. This project included scripting, voiceover, storyboarding, and a final animated video with music and sound effects that matched our product identity.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This project was relatively smooth from the start. In fact, we initially chose another vendor with whom we had previously done some work. When that project fell apart in the first few weeks, we reached out to Promoshin for a quote based on online reviews and their public portfolio. From start to finish, we had guidance and polish on creating a script, selecting a voiceover artist, recording the script, choosing an animation style and video elements to support the script, several drafts of the animation, and a final product all within an accurately estimated window of completion.

With the exception a couple of very minor hiccups — all of which were handled promptly and warmly by Promoshin's project managers — this video project went so smoothly. We worked in well-defined stages, and all along the way our entire team was impressed with how quickly Promoshin's creative team understood our core value proposition, audience, and tone. At times the process felt a little rushed, but never at the cost of production quality (rather, we sometimes had to make decisions more quickly than we naturally would). Ultimately, this kept us on track and held us accountable to the project timeline. Whenever our assigned project manager was out of office, I'd get a message from someone else on the team stepping in temporarily. Communication was excellent.

Promoshin's ability to nail messaging and tone was really impressive. Our product is in a niche market, but they took a collection of corporate materials and continued to make creative decisions that demonstrated their understanding of our value proposition, target market, and company culture/tone.

Not from our perspective. We would definitely use this team again for a similar project!

The finished animated video has come to be a great marketing tool that we now use on a daily basis to showcase virtual training to our clients and students. This has proven to be important and valuable in our overall sales approach.

Our project manager was very attentive and responsive to our requests. It also helped that she was flexible with some of the changes that were imposed upon us by outside sources. Most of the time they were able to deliver within the required time frame set forth for the project. We felt they did their very best to respond to our needs in a timely basis.

Promoshin had a very detailed and organized process for video creation. We moved through each phase efficiently and as expected. They were very responsive to our edits and questions. Everything was completed in a timely manner.

We moved through a couple project managers during our short project. At least one switch was due to a staff member leaving so that is understandable but we weren't fully aware as to why the main contact changed so much. We ended up with an excellent manager so no complaints in the end.

Their project manager was extremely responsive given that we are in different countries but mostly I did not have to wait more than a day for a response. Sometimes within hours and on time, have a can-do attitude.

Never said no and their pricing was extremely competitive with good outcome.

I wish they did not require everything paid upfront while the deposit payment of the project have already been settle. I found the later stage that the video with watermark a little unpleasant. Lucky that I hold the authority to make the payment or we will have to circle back to accounting, PO, cut check/wire.... Overall, a little hiccup but all nailed at the end.

The project was completed in a timely fashion, it was created in a way that matched our clients existing branding (which was essential) and our client was very happy with the results.

They have a very automated system, and very organized steps to follow. Some don't apply to every project, but they are there to create consistency. They were responsive, and every contact we had with them was pleasant and businesslike.

We worked with Roxy. The Feedback process is effective. They used software to communicate changes and next steps.

We already had a rough script in place from a previous video we had created years prior, so we kicked off with that and Promoshin did a great job translating the text into a visual.

They helped us create a video for one of our clients (who can be very particular with what they want), and Promoshin handled all of our back and forth / edits like champs. I know how frustrating it can be to manage a project like this and I always felt like I was in great hands with Roxy! We had MANY changes, and I was even getting frustrated with the client, but Promoshin took them all in stride and was amazing throughout the process.

Sometimes I almost felt that Promoshin was too communicative and I had to ask them to reach out for updates at a less frequent cadence. However, I appreciate their attentitiveness. Towards the end of the project they introduced a new project management tool that seems like it would be helpful, but we didn't get much experience with it since we were wrapping up the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are eager, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond. They are a great partner.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Determine a better cadence of communication from the beginning — proactively ask the client their preferred frequency.

We chose to have a 2D Animation video. The process was very easy. It started with a survey to get to know our company and the goal of our project. They even provided voice samples for us to choose who would narrate our video! Such a great process that clearly made us return to them again for a new project more than once.

We worked with the production team, mainly Genevieve who always kept us up to date and got back to us quickly when we emailed requests for changes or ideas.

The ease of communication with the production team was impressive. We provided them with an outline of our ideas and they were able to create a script that we could easily review and request changes as needed.

I chose Promoshin because their portfolio had work similar to what I wanted and they were very helpful when we spoke on the phone.

We met over zoom to discuss my intentions for the video animations. I provided a script with ideas for the animations and the designers elaborated on that, coming up with great ideas to improve the basics. They developed the style, colors and built the animations.

There was a team that changed depending on where we were in the process. It worked very well and my feedback was always incorporated into the project.

The video fits well in the film and provides the information we needed to convey. It hasn't been released yet.

Aside from the initial meeting on a video call, the communication was all done via email. This system is a little challenging as it was kept to a single email strand with 60 back and forth interactions. There were times I struggled to find a link in an earlier email due to the ever increasing length of the chain.

The people at Promoshin were very responsive to my feedback and always incorporated changes quickly. They did a great job and worked in a timely manner, given the complexity of the video I needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They impressed me with their timeliness. It was clear that they were working around the clock and my changes were always ready within a day or two.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

My only suggestions would be a more concise system for communication, only because the super long email chain was challenging at times. It also seemed that the information I'd communicated in the initial meeting wasn't always passed to each of the teams working on the video, so I had to reiterate my intentions when a new group came to the project. These are both minor difficulties though and I was very happy overall.

We wanted a short introductory video to send to interested investors, alongside our pitch deck. The idea would be, if they were interested after 60 secs, they could then go into details/schedule a meeting with us.

This vendor had the best value prop - the price they charge is very reasonable and they had great reviews.

We started with a discovery meeting where we told the Promoshin rep about our startup. They then drafted a script for us that we revised for a few rounds. Then after we had approved the script they sent us preliminary visuals for a few lines of the script. Once we approved the art style they made the 1st draft of the video.

We worked with the project managers, there were a couple given that they have employees all around the world. This is so they can respond to you at any time of day basically. Feedback process was super easy. They explain in their emails how they need the feedback in order to go back to the script writer, illustrators, animators, etc.

So far we've gotten very positive feedback from investors we've shown the video to.

Everyone was very easy to communicate with, and they always responded in a timely manner. Almost a bit too quick to ask for updates (like over the weekend) but all-in-all it worked out well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The script and visual cues they came up with were really, really good given that we told them "the way we describe our idea is still in the 'changing day-to-day' stage". They were able to keep up with us and adapt with us as we tweaked things. They were always so accomodating.

The only thing was asking for follow-ups over the weekend. It's a minor thing though.
