Because of the nuances of some portions of the animation (needing to be life like) it took extra rounds with their team to get it 100% correct, but they did all this and more.  It extended the timeline but made sure we were extremely happy with the result.

Prolific kept in touch at least once a week with thier progress from the inital stages of planning out the storyboard to the final animation. Each week once they'd sent their progress, we'd review with feedback and in most instances, this would have been amended the following week. No complaints either when some weeks the feedback was quite extensive.

Considering the scale of the animation, I was impressed with the speed they progressed throughout. They were very polite and efficient.

To be really picky, a wider variation of accents on the voiceovers but understandable they don't have all British accents with being an American company.

The background to this project came about with the recent launch of our new range of JCB Work Lights in the UK market. To boost sales and promote these products, we decided to create a series of animated videos, with the objective of bringing the work lights to life and highlighting the many innovative features and benefits of the products.

The final videos would be used on our website, jcbworklights.com, across our social media channels, played on our stand at trade shows and would be available to our reseller network for display in their stores and on their own websites.

Prolific has created 3D graphics of our bottles, which come in different colors and shapes for our various products, such as antifreeze and brake fluid. They’ve also animated the pours that go along with the bottles in 3D, which show the liquid flowing out of the bottle realistically. The video places the products in real-life settings, such as a garage or over a car hood. 

The team also ensured that we could change the label on the 3D bottle models to update our creative assets without having to film the bottles again. Currently, Prolific is working on new projects for our wiper blades and headlamps.

We've posted the video on YouTube, the product detail pages on our site, and e-commerce platforms like AutoZone and Amazon. The video has exceeded our and our customers' expectations. Initially, people didn't believe it was a 3D graphic and not live action video. This outcome is good for us going forward because it removes the idea that technology can't be realistic. We're excited to work with Prolific to capture that again. 

Thanks to their work, we can update our creative assets without having to film out bottles again, which reduces costs and improves our time to market. Prolific Studio has been able to deliver quickly, even with many people giving feedback. The team has taken the feedback, incorporated it into the correct changes, and delivered the video for us to get in front of the customers. 

Moreover, everyone on the Prolific team is very positive, open to feedback, and easy to work with. They're open to collaboration, which facilitates things for us since we need input from many people. The team is patient in working with us on what's achievable with our timeline and budget.

They've put the project together very well from a time and cost perspective — we're right where we need to be. As for communication, we use phone calls, and the team has done a great job. If anything,  we could do a better job of getting our feedback to them in a more timely fashion. Overall, Prolific has done everything I could have expected from an agency of their size.

The process with Prolific was amazing, any delays came from our end, trying to get a committee of folks to agree on the final vision. We provided the scripts and worked through an outline of visual concepts with the Prolific team. From there we moved into basic sketches of the visuals and approved an overall look/color schemes to be used. 

Finally, we got the final storyboards and once approved the final animation. The team was very patient as we made changes, and then walked some back through the process.

We haven't started the project yet, but after doing a brief focus group, we discovered that our finished movies are far more kid-friendly than the original source materials.

They provided a story board and AV script for a 3D billboard that we needed produce. The story board was fairly loose and left a lot open to interpretation, allowing Prolific Studio the freedom to integrate their vision and expertise into the project, which was greatly appreciated.

The 2:30 long video involved a series of simulations and optical illusions which required very specific projecting and lighting requirements, and had a very tight timeline to execute. The final deliverable was a video file that met our specific requirements to playback correctly on a large video wall.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Early prototypes and a continuous drip of sample videos ensured we had stakeholder buy-in and that all optical illusions came across correctly on the video playback equipment.

Prolific Studio was very responsive and their project management was one of the best experiences I have had. They were very communicative throughout the process, checked in on a regular basis, and their communication style was very transparent and honest. When issues or last minute changes did arise they jumped on them immediately and had resolutions within a day or two to get the project back on track.

They really set themselves apart with their communication. At no point was I left wondering if the project on track for delivery, or if they had misunderstood a request. They asked all of the right questions and had consistant and frequent report backs on their progress.

Color consistency was a bit challenging for this project as it required several different software packages to execute - earlier testing and troubleshooting of color consistency would have helped - but the studio wasn't given much of a timeline to have been as thorough on this project.
