I found them on Fiverr; they had a lot of good reviews, so I decided to try them. After a couple of months of working together, we got good results, so we kept our relationship.

They're doing great — which is why we kept working together after a couple of months. One specific indicator is the number of email sales generated from their services. Before they came on board, the sales were at 8%, and after they got involved, they jumped to 30%. That's a substantial increase in terms of sales, and they directly helped our company to market.

How did PROGS perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been able to meet deadlines and stay on budget. Regarding communication, we have daily conversations on Slack and biweekly phone calls, and we also meet monthly to set a goal for the month and review the past month's performance.

As for project management tools, we use Monday.com and Asana.

I’m the CEO and co-founder of Sabermasters, an e-commerce store for high-quality lightsabers. We sell mainly to the US, Canada, and Australia.

What challenge were you trying to address with PROGS?

We had an online store with many first-time customers, but it was hard to get buyers to repeat, especially in our niche and price point. Our challenge was to get initial traction with email marketing. Also, my business partner and I were performance marketers, so we wanted to focus on the store’s frontend marketing and leave the backend in good hands. We decided to branch out and work with an email marketing agency to build the initial flow structure and schedule campaigns.

Email marketing contributions for the store have been around 12% since we started working, which is pretty high considering our low repeat purchasing rate. We’ve also done an extensive strategy relying on email marketing by creating an early bird list and sending out multiple emails to that early bird state. It’s probably our most significant email marketing success — we generated around $16,000 in one day for the new product launch, and it was 90% pure email marketing.

How did PROGS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very communicative. We’re usually the ones that delay the project. They reach out and ask for access or any resource they need from us. Overall, they’re quick in their response time and implementation. We haven’t had any concerns since we started working with them.

We have a Slack channel for our store, so we communicate with the team through Slack. Internally, they use Asana for online store management. Besides Slack, we message each other on LinkedIn and call whenever we’re in the same city.

Their strengths are the quality of fulfillment and attention to detail. We’ve worked with agencies that want to take complete control over their work, so they don’t communicate much. Whereas PROGS communicates effectively and has a personalized approach. Also, we’ve talked to colleagues, and the price-to-quality ratio is pretty good. They don’t charge us based on generated revenue, which is a good value proposition.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes they could research more on what fonts to use in combination with our brand identity. Their copywriting is good, but their graphic design could be better.

Be very proactive and always communicate your ideas; PROGS is very flexible and responsive in testing different approaches. They’ll be open to trying those ideas.

We are growing a lot, and I’m really happy with the partnership.
