I'm the Chief Marketing Officer of Selfie Care Co., Ltd. My role is to build overlook the overall marketing strategy and activities in all channels. About us In 2019, we started Selfie because we believed that cosmetic dentistry could be done differently and made accessible to more people without compromising on quality of care.

In particular, we found that high quality clear aligners were too expensive for most people and getting access to the right information and service wasn’t as easy as it should be. At Selfie, we want to change this, so that everyone can benefit no matter who or where they are. By combining the latest research and technology from around the world, we created Smart Dentistry – a new standard of dentistry represented by its simplicity, quality, unique technology, and end to end experience that focuses on our customers’ needs.

Smart Dentistry sets us apart by giving our customers an affordable clear aligner experience where they will be able to make an informed choice between remote or in-person care based on their needs. This doesn’t mean that remote care can fully replace in-person care, it just means that if you are a minor to moderate case and our dentists think you are eligible for remote treatment, we’ll give you that option. ​

For our customers, especially those who live further away or can’t take time away from their busy schedule, this means more convenience at a radically fair price. And for our dental partners, it means they can help more patients than ever before, by handling simpler cases remotely and more complex cases at the clinic.

For what projects/services did your company hire Primal (Thailand)?

We need someone who can work with us on creating performance marketing strategy & execution plan. Also, able to manage digital prospecting and remarketing campaigns to drive strong return on investment and efficient CAC for both social medias and Google search channels.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Primal is a leading digital marketing agency in Thailand and we started a short-term contract (3 months) to see how it worked between us and found the experience in the first 3 months was very efficient and useful for the company.

After Selfie gave Primal team the monthly campaign strategy for social media platforms and SEM, they created a plan for the targeting and worked on the performance optimization. In the first few months, we monitored the ad results closely and iterated fast (pausing the campaigns and reallocate the budget). At the end of the month, they sent us a report for the overall ad performance results and we would discuss on the next step for the next month.

For performance media, we worked directly with K.Nad.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our CAC/lead went down from USD15 in FEB22 to USD6 APR22. The overall 3 months average CAC/Lead is below USD10 which is the target we want to hit within Q1 22. The impression has went up from 0.5M / month in 2021 to 1.5M / month in 2022 with similar ad spend on awareness campaigns.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We planned out the campaign 1 week before the next month including finalize the budget, visuals and captions. Along the month, I monitor the campaign results closely to see if there's any thing we need to be aware of and inform Primal team if there's any interesting observations, so that we can iterate immediately. We have at least one call a week to discuss on the observations and to adjust the strategy if needed.

Lastly, Primal will keep sharing their thoughts and observations so that I can bake into the strategy and budget in the next month. I found the process is very flexible and very good for a startup like us when we are still in a learning stage and we need to move and iterate pretty fast.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Primal team is very responsible and hard-working. K.Nad, our key account is very opened and has been very responsive to any of our requests and concerns. He also acts very fast when we have an immediate change like a sudden budget increase during the month.

He is very clear and professional when providing his team observations and thoughts. I feel like we work like a team and K.Nad can represent and transfer the information well between vendor and Primal. He's also very polite and calm. Really enjoyable to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The dashboard is very slow. It's now getting better. I wish we could see the results on my phone easily so that I can monitor it anywhere, anytime.
