I posted a project on Upwork looking for recruiters. Michael replied. Michael had a super high rating AND had made a ton of money so the trust factor was high so I shortlisted him and one other person. I met with Michael via Zoom and he was super professional and I had a feeling that he could help and be trusted.

Michael had an intake process of ascertaining the attributes needed in a developer/hire. He then built a targeted outreach campaign after writing the ad and sequences of messages/emails. Once people started to show interest, he interviewed the better ones, and if they were good, he'd pass them onto me with lots of good information. Then I interviewed them and I talked to him about them after the fact.

Prestige Development Group developed an outreach strategy and we agreed upon a series of nurture emails for prospective candidates. Then, they used their tools to scour LinkedIn for the best candidates, and surface candidates that might not traditionally have fit the requirements for the writing program but might make for good additions.

I worked closely with one person assigned to our account, and she was the Head of Talent.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We onboarded around 40 new qualified candidates from all over the world, and received at least one new piece of content from each candidate, with many submitting many more than that.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was great, they consistently provided good candidates, handled all up front knowledge dissemination, and worked with us on a weekly basis to refine our strategies and stay on top of candidate pool.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They hadn't done something exactly like this before and neither had we, but they adapted their own best practices and helped guide us through the project. They were humane and understanding of our needs the entire time, and we never felt rushed into a decision.

I don't think so.

I am the COO of an e-commerce development agency that specializes in projects built on the Magento, Shopify, and BigCommerce platforms.

For what projects/services did your company hire Prestige Development Group, and what were your goals?

My company was in need of a Senior Project Manager to help us with the delivery and management of both new e-commerce build projects (website builds, migrations, and large feature enhancements) and continuous delivery projects (retainers, maintenance, and small feature enhancements).

Our ideal candidate needed 3+ years of digital or e-commerce project management experience, preferable in an agency setting. This candidate would also need to be familiar with the Magento, Shopify, and/or BigCommerce platforms in order to quickly adapt to our ongoing workflow and company processes.

Our hiring needs were immediate, so our goal was to find and place a candidate within one or two months.

How did you select Prestige Development Group and what were the deciding factors?

I've worked with a variety of different recruiting agencies, and overall I found them to be both incredibly expensive and not overly invested in the success of your candidate hire.

As an alternative to using a more traditional software recruiting agency, I turned to Upwork in search of a contract recruiter I could work with more closely and who better understood the needs and culture of our company.

After interviewing several candidates, I chose Prestige Development because they had the most methodical and thoughtful approach, and they were able to properly articulate their metrics for success.

Following an initial interview to discuss our general needs for the project, I met with two recruiters from Prestige who asked me more detailed questions about our candidate requirements, as well as our general business model and company culture.

From there, the recruiters put together some calibrations (potential candidates) for me to review to make sure that their understanding of the position was in alignment with my expectations. They also put together some cadences regarding communication with potential candidates to make sure they were properly representing our brand.

From there, the search began, and we maintained weekly checkpoints to review progress and discuss potential matches. Candidate profiles and interview notes were delivered via email once the recruiters found candidates they felt met my initial criteria.

Interviews with our team were coordinated via email or Slack once candidates were approved. All interviews were performed using Google Meet.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The Prestige team was an absolute pleasure to work with during my search for an E-Commerce Project Manager. They took the time to really understand not only my needs for the role, but also our business identity and company culture.

Ultimately, they were able to find my company what we feel is a very high quality candidate. I am very pleased with the outcome of this project.

The team I worked with was very diligent and meticulous during the candidate search. They took very detailed notes and recorded their interviews with potential candidates. They gave helpful, succinct recaps of interviews via email, which made information sharing very efficient and easy to digest.

They used Slack for more timely communication needs, but never overused this channel and provided timely responses to any ad hoc questions I had. In general, communication was very fluid throughout the recruiting process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team I worked with made me feel as though they were genuinely very invested in the success of our candidate hire. They took a lot of time getting to know my company and our needs, and they placed on emphasis on finding us a good culture fit, which I greatly appreciated.

They're flexible in terms of communication style and frequency and respectful of my time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Prestige does offer weekly reporting on their candidate search. For the first few weeks, I did not see these reports come through until I mentioned something to them in one of our weekly meetings.

Often times I would receive these reports a few hours before our meetings, and it may have been beneficial to see them a little earlier so that I had a better change to review them thoroughly.

Prestige helps us hire qualified engineering talents. They work at the very top of the hiring funnel, writing job descriptions and sourcing and screening candidates. After an initial interview, they would then present qualified applicants to our team, giving us the necessary information on how to secure those talents. 

The job search only lasts a few weeks since we’re seeking high-demand resources. Along the way, Prestige taught us a lot about what they were doing. They helped us develop an internal hiring capacity within our team. 

In addition, they’ve streamlined our recruitment process to lessen the steps that candidates have to go through. They eliminated unnecessary steps and refined our job descriptions. Their team suggested how to write descriptions that attract higher-quality candidates.

We tasked the data engineer with maintaining the data infrastructure of our existing internal analytics platform, a cloud-based application hosted via AWS. We reached out to Prestige to help us quickly provide resources to work on the architecture and technology for a client under a tight deadline. Most of the work involved cloud infrastructure, micro-services, and UI/UX development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prestige worked on a cloud infrastructure project for a mobility app that included microservices and some UI/UX development. The project required a strong understanding of iOS given that it leveraged facial biometrics, geolocation, and hands-free typing features. The app also included AWS capabilities and used APIs for microservices. They put together a relational database on the RDF side, as well as an S3 Bucket for storing the media required for the app.

Within less than a week or two of engaging them, Prestige was able to put together a team and start working on the project. In addition to the quality of their work, there wasn't a single hiccup throughout the development process and they exceeded our deadline.

At any given time, I was only in contact with two people, which helped me stay organized, informed, and focused on the bigger picture. They took an agile approach, providing weekly reports and bi-weekly sprint release notes, as well as a functional app for our review at the end of each cycle.
