I've worked with a variety of different recruiting agencies, and overall I found them to be both incredibly expensive and not overly invested in the success of your candidate hire.
As an alternative to using a more traditional software recruiting agency, I turned to Upwork in search of a contract recruiter I could work with more closely and who better understood the needs and culture of our company.
After interviewing several candidates, I chose Prestige Development because they had the most methodical and thoughtful approach, and they were able to properly articulate their metrics for success.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Following an initial interview to discuss our general needs for the project, I met with two recruiters from Prestige who asked me more detailed questions about our candidate requirements, as well as our general business model and company culture.
From there, the recruiters put together some calibrations (potential candidates) for me to review to make sure that their understanding of the position was in alignment with my expectations. They also put together some cadences regarding communication with potential candidates to make sure they were properly representing our brand.
From there, the search began, and we maintained weekly checkpoints to review progress and discuss potential matches. Candidate profiles and interview notes were delivered via email once the recruiters found candidates they felt met my initial criteria.
Interviews with our team were coordinated via email or Slack once candidates were approved. All interviews were performed using Google Meet.

The Prestige team was an absolute pleasure to work with during my search for an E-Commerce Project Manager. They took the time to really understand not only my needs for the role, but also our business identity and company culture.
Ultimately, they were able to find my company what we feel is a very high quality candidate. I am very pleased with the outcome of this project.

The team I worked with was very diligent and meticulous during the candidate search. They took very detailed notes and recorded their interviews with potential candidates. They gave helpful, succinct recaps of interviews via email, which made information sharing very efficient and easy to digest.
They used Slack for more timely communication needs, but never overused this channel and provided timely responses to any ad hoc questions I had. In general, communication was very fluid throughout the recruiting process.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team I worked with made me feel as though they were genuinely very invested in the success of our candidate hire. They took a lot of time getting to know my company and our needs, and they placed on emphasis on finding us a good culture fit, which I greatly appreciated.

Prestige does offer weekly reporting on their candidate search. For the first few weeks, I did not see these reports come through until I mentioned something to them in one of our weekly meetings.

Prestige worked on a cloud infrastructure project for a mobility app that included microservices and some UI/UX development. The project required a strong understanding of iOS given that it leveraged facial biometrics, geolocation, and hands-free typing features. The app also included AWS capabilities and used APIs for microservices. They put together a relational database on the RDF side, as well as an S3 Bucket for storing the media required for the app.

In general, it is great. Like with anything else, we both had to be patient at times until we take the bugs out of the processes, but they are good people, so we always figure it out

Overall, our experience with PDG has been exceptional. As with any new partnership, or when starting a new phase, there have been moments of trial and error, but the team at PDG has always been patient and understanding. We are grateful for their partnership.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
At times it seems they may get a little bogged down with a hefty workload, and nothing they don't correct in time. I believe they are addressing some of their growing pains, and I am sure they will overcome those temporary challenges and improve as always.
