I am the managing director of MNR Constructions and Peacock Retail. We build custom structures for the events, retail, marketing and entertainment industries.

Pounce was asked to build an ecommerce website that tracked inventory for our new hire business. This included complex formulas that could generate dynamic pricing and packing lists based on a number of factors available for our customers to choose from on our website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose Pounce because that took the time to really understand my requirements. They asked all of the right questions and even flagged potential future challenges that the business might face (ones that I had not even thought of).

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss the goals and objectives. From there we had a number of detailed conversations to make sure that everything was going to be covered within the scope. The Pounce team then regularly reported back to me with progress updates while they worked on everything in the background. They provided templates and spreadsheets so that I knew exactly what I needed to provide to keep everything ticking along.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are just about to officially launch the website, but the feedback from our current customer base so far has been overwhelmingly positive. The website has been built with the user experience at front of mind and we look forward to some great results in the coming months. I'm really happy with what we have built and feel that it has set a new started for our industry.

The Pounce Marketing team was always swift to get back to me. At no point was I left in the dark about anything. They were very clear throughout the development journey and all of the documents made my responsibilities really easy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They committed themselves to creating my website as if they were creating a website for their own business. They paid attention to details, thought through potential roadblocks before they happened and were the most positive and genuine team I could have ever hoped to engage on this project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Any minor bugs that were found during testing we fixed really quickly.

I’m a former business development manager at LXS Logistics LTD, a transportation and logistics company.

We hired them for SEO services and a website revamp.

Pounce Marketing revamped our website. Our previous site was on Wix, and they recreated the same site on WordPress to better match with SEO and to improve its look. They also provided SEO services and helped us with PPC, handling our Google Ads campaigns.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $10,000 CAD (approximately $7,600 USD) on the website. For Google Ads, we spent around $5,000–$8,000 CAD (approximately $3,800–$6,100 USD) monthly, including the ads. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I worked with them from January–June 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

With a combination of the new website, SEO, and Google Ads campaigns, our web traffic doubled from the previous year. We wanted most of our customers to come on our website from Google, which Pounce Marketing helped us achieve; three months into our engagement, most of our revenue and leads were coming from the website and Google Ads. We had issues with getting our CRM system to work with our website, and the team was fast in fixing them. 

How did Pounce Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They were good at project management and communication. Although sometimes things took longer than I wanted, they weren’t big delays. We used Google Meet to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Pounce Marketing’s attention to detail. Their expertise was specific to the trucking and logistics industry, and the team learned about our needs quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I didn’t think they needed to improve anything. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to study the things that they tell you and get educated so that when they make improvements or recommend things, you understand what they’re saying.

I’m the senior producer of a media production company called Who’s Elliot Media Productions. We create television commercials, online marketing campaigns, radio ads, and print ads.

We engaged with them for their digital marketing services. We needed to come up with three creative marketing concepts that we could pitch to a client. The client would then choose a concept that they wanted to go with.

Pounce Marketing provides digital marketing services for our clients. They’ve helped us come up with three creative marketing concepts that we could pitch to a specific client that’s directly linked with a painting company. They’ve also created a video script for the concept that that client decided to go with. Additionally, we rely on Pounce Marketing to come up with online marketing campaigns, provide SEO services, create Google Ads, and promote websites.

I had engaged with them before, and I knew people from their creative team.

We started the partnership in February 2020, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The video that they’ve helped us produce accomplished what we hoped it would, and more importantly, our client is happy with it. Overall, we were extremely pleased with their deliverables.

How did Pounce Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve delivered everything on time and within budget. Moreover, they are very responsive — whenever we've got a question or need something, they get back to us quickly. Also, they always go out of their way to fit us into their schedule, especially when we need something done in a hurry. We mainly use Google Meet, Zoom, phone calls, and email for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their creative team is very impressive. They’re not your usual digital marketing agency; they do things differently, which allows them to achieve better results compared to other marketing agencies.

No, we've been very happy with everything that they've done so far.

Be direct with what you want and understand that they're a top-level marketing agency.

We were developing and advisor marketing digital advertising campaign. This was the first campaign for CFS in over 2 years and was to announce they had won a big industry award for their advisor platform FirstChoice. Pounce was our partner to design, develop and despatch the digital media.

Raks and I were colleagues from a previous agency and I know he has deep digital expertise and understands how to deliver these kinds of campaigns.

Apply new brand design across a range of digital media formats (ads, eDMs) Raks was my partner and helped decipher the brief, and was so important in helping us understand the specs, the gaps and drafted multiple responses to the media agency to get the right information from them. Raks managed the process from Brief, to design, development and despatch.

The client was very pleased with the result and we are now in the process of working through the second phase of the campaign. We are yet to receive a PCR but early signs show the campaign was a success.

A very good workflow. Raks implemented a great review/preview tool which was a really good for markups, comments and approvals.

The high-touch service from Raks and the team was impressive. They were very on the ball.

We could have had the review tool from the beginning of the process.
