PLEGO provided custom web develpment and branding services to my upstart company. I gave them a spreadsheet of 280 projects I've done throughout my 30-year career, and had them extract GPS coordinate data from a list of city-state-country and populated a global map with a pin in the location of each project.

Ultimately the project took a bit longer than expected but this is primarily due to my changing/evolving requirements.  The project management seemed a little bit chaotic at times, but in the end, it all came together very nicely.

I was impressed by the degree to which they were able to implement exactly what I had asked for in my website, and helped me bring my dream concept into reality through clever programming.

The project involved several different work groups. It would be helpful to designate one "single point of contact" = project manager who coordinates all the interaction between the sub-specialties and make the customer interface more seamless. This isnt a complaint but Clutch *did ask* for constructive feedback when writing this review.

Plego has effective time management. The project overall was completed later than originally intended, but that was mostly due us underestimating the project timeline. Plego has always been very responsive. Issues were resolved quickly, communications were responded to promptly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Plego has a UI/UX and Power BI expert on their staff. Their UI/UX expert helped to design the new portal using guidance from our marketing team. Their PBI expert helped guide the way we structured our embedded reports to work in the new IA portal. They helped us understand best practices and implement them on the Power BI reports and embedded API calls.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Plego Technologies could have done differently?

Don't wait for the meeting to ask questions. At some points it felt as though the developers were waiting until the next status call before asking questions on items that were blocking them. This didn't happen too often though.

What challenge were you trying to address with Plego Technologies?

We needed to convert our website to a different platform. Our existing platform didn't allow us to manage the website ourselves, so one of our goals was to be able to change content ourselves without involving a third party.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Plego Technologies provided us with web development. We had an existing website hosted somewhere else, and Plego Technologies took it and converted it into WordPress. Our goals were for the website to work as it did before and for us to be able to manage the content ourselves.

We had a kickoff call and then weekly engagements with them. The team designed a few aspects of the site, including our projects page. Once the design was further along, Plego Technologies gave us access to a test site so we could watch the development. We did a two-week testing period and then did the cutover.

We worked with three teammates from Plego Technologies, including Saad, our project manager, and Muhammad, our technical project manager. 

How did you come to work with Plego Technologies?

We found them through a Google search. We had drafted a set of requirements for our website conversion, and they were one of the companies we reached out to. They provided a quote based on the requirements and were one of the few that responded to the request.

We spent around $40,000.

We worked together from May–September 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The point of the project was for us to be able to adjust the website ourselves. The website is performing about the same as it did before, which is great. The conversion was seamless, and it looks and functions exactly how we want it to. The projects page they designed looks way better since they got their hands on it. 

How did Plego Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time and within budget and communicated well. We primarily used email.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Saad played the role of project manager. He very kindly helped us through the website process from start to finish, including deployment — he was awesome.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overall, the project was executed really well. I've done many website conversions, and the outcome isn't usually this good. We had many challenging requirements, and Plego Technologies filled in the blanks really well, which was great because sometimes that’s hard, especially when a client doesn’t know what they want. For example, they revamped our projects page, going off loose requirements, and it turned out great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there was anything they needed to improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you come equipped with what you’re looking for and what you want to get out of it. Think through it and come prepared with how you want it to look; that will speed up the process. We spun our wheels a little bit when it came to revamping a few of the pages because we hadn't thought through it, so I would recommend coming prepared.

I’m the COO at Quantum-Touch, an organization that teaches energy healing workshops around the world. Energy healing is a form of alternative healthcare that focuses on the inner healer. We have about 500 practitioners and 100 instructors globally.

What challenge were you trying to address with Plego Technologies?
Our shopping cart feature was bug-ridden for years, and customers were having trouble ordering products from us. As a result, we hired Plego Technologies to fix and redesign our shopping cart and checkout process. 
For context, our website was made on Joomla, but it wasn’t easy to find Joomla developers. I thought about porting to a different platform, but I didn’t want the time and money expense. Our website was complicated and didn’t fit Shopify, and we had so many custom components. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
Plego Technologies put our site into a development environment where we could test things before putting them on a live website. That was the first step of the engagement.
At present, we’re still in the process of building the website. We’ve done a complete redesign with weekly meetings to go over our progress. Apart from working on our shopping cart and checkout experience, the team has added features such as push notifications to help us advertise and promote products.
We’ve added a video to our homepage. They’ve designed the video player for that. Moreover, we’ve implemented some other minor changes to the website. For instance, we’ve redesigned the product pages to improve their UI and have multiple images displayed rather than just one. This way, customers can see larger images of our product, allowing them to understand it better.
What is the team composition?
I mainly interact with Saad (Co-Founder & Partner) and Haris (Project Manager). The manager sends tasks to the most appropriate person in their team.
How did you come to work with Plego Technologies?
I interviewed multiple companies that could do Joomla, and I had a meeting with Saad. I showed him our website and issues, and he said we needed help with best practices. They had the best interview process where I could share and show all of our website’s problems. As a result, I hired them.

Our investment has been around $30,000.

We started working with Plego Technologies in April 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Plego Technologies’ quality is great. It’s hard to take over a project where they need to put an entire live website into development, but they’ve had no issues with that. Their work culture is also great.
How did Plego Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve worked well with my budget. I can only afford 10 hours per week — this isn’t much time, and coding can take a lot of effort, especially since our website has messy code. Considering all these, the Plego Technologies team has been doing a great job. They’re using their time well as they work efficiently with my limited budget. Moreover, I’ve enjoyed working with Saad and Haris. They’re both great.
To communicate, we use Google Meet for meetings. I use monday.com and emails to track the changes we want to make. They’re highly responsive to our emails; the lead developer always provides updates on monday.com.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with their efficiency with my limited budget. They spend a lot of time working on truly important things. On top of that, they have a good ability to launch new features without messing up the website. They’re careful with how they launch anything on the website, and I haven’t had any problems with that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. Joomla isn’t easy, and not every company knows how to work with it, so I’m impressed with everything they’ve done.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you have a Joomla website, hire Plego Technologies. They do a great job, and they’re one of the few companies that do Joomla.

The product is a 4-hour, 16-chapter seminar, hosted online and sold to audiologists for professional enrichment. The client supplied the seminar content, called the Gold Circle Music Audiology Master Class. The online product is sold through the client's Shopify website, enabling password-based login for 72-hour access. The seminar is essentially an online app. Chapters must be viewed consecutively (viewing Chapter 1 unlocks Ch. 2 etc.), then the user must pass a multiple-question test to earn a certificate and CEUs. 

Plego consulted to present options and solutions (as this was the client's first digital product), then designed the seminar application. Client supplied all content, which Plego used to create a UX incorporating their video content, downloadable digital "takeaway" content, and conditions to earn certification, all as a cohesive professional seminar. All work was done remotely, with regular video conferences, phone calls, and email communication between myself, the client, and Plego.

Get the Gold Circle Master Class seminar online, sell it directly via Shopify, and deliver an intuitive UX that smoothly and successfully educates the customer.

Plego is very responsive. The project was primarily driven via a series of video conferences between myself, my client, and Ali and Saad from Plego. The project took longer than anticipated due to delays in content production and late changes by client to tweak functionality and appearance, and Plego was consistently responsive.
