What challenge were you trying to address with Pixune Studios?

Pixune Studios is developing game art for us. They’ve done some amazing characters over the course of our collaboration, which we’ve implemented into our game stories, and we’ve done a lot of sequel projects together since then.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The whole game is based on a character they designed for us. They draw the characters, the UIs of the games, and graphics for their scenarios. We usually start with an idea and make a rough sketch ourselves, before talking with Pixune Studios and giving them a full description on the call.

They also help develop our ideas and really try to understand deeply what our intention was. They start working after that and give us a rough sketch, which we’ll approve or ask to be modified. They make changes until we’re happy, and once we get to the final sketch, they will color it.  

What is the team composition?

I have one point of contact there, but I'm not sure how many members of their team are on the project as a whole.

How did you come to work with Pixune Studios?

I found them online, possibly on Upwork or Freelancer. We had a Skype conversation, gave them an initial project, and really liked the first thing they sketched, so we were enthusiastic to work together from there.

How much have you invested with them?

The total investment is around $5,000.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re really good at delivering quality work. Art can take a bit more time to do than planned, but it is always worth it. They emphasized that they wanted to get the best result for our ideas, which can take a bit more time, but their main focus and strength is quality. They provide really, really high-level art for gaming.

How did Pixune Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Most of the time, it’s great, and I have no complaints. We did run a bit late on some projects, but that was because we wanted to change the results, and they had to create more deliverables. Overall, they’ve completed pretty much everything on time and with good quality. As a client, we were a bit pushy for the deadlines, but it’s been good overall.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They really get into the idea. They really try to understand what the idea behind the game art or UI we want to make is, instead of just drawing something to finish the job and supplying the work like any other Fiverr or Upwork freelancer. They really try to get what’s in my head before they start drawing.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They could always lower their prices, but I think I’m pretty happy.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should share their idea entirely. Good things come out of talking about the idea and understanding it deeply before starting the work. That creative ideation process is something Pixune does particularly well.

I have to say, from the daily communication and step by step approvals of all parts of the video (from the sketches to the final rendering) was absolutely flawless. The team was always available to discuss any changes or modifications and offered valuable insights and suggestions to enhance the final video.

I didnt see any flaws through the process. From initial conversation to the delivery of the end product.

I am a Growth Marketing manager at Homa Games. We publish hypercasual mobile games that drive millions of downloads.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pixune Studios, and what were your goals?

We decided to start creating 3D animations to promote our games.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We got in contact through Upwork and rapidly choose to work with Pixune Studio when we had a look at their portfolio. They also had a great way to communicate so we found a great deal that would match everyone's expectations.

We gave them strict guidelines that they understood from the start. The artists are very creative and managed to add a personal touch to make the product even better.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with an account manager who was always there to hear our feedback and find a solution to all our problems.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have very positive feedback on the animations from our community.

We are communicating with Slack which is amazing to keep track of everything. It also allows having very short delays when it comes to exchanging information.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have worked with other agencies in the past, none of them had the artistic vision Pixune Studio has.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wish we could have met in person to have even better communication!
