Everything has been extremely smooth and quick, and the communication is excellent. When dealing with a digital marketing agency, it usually takes ages to start a project, and often, getting a reply to an email can take a day or two. Pitch Black is different.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched our website in January 2026, so we’re about five months into the project. Our organic visibility has been building steadily, and our rankings are starting to come through on some of our target keywords. Our site is also getting indexed properly, which is the foundation of everything else.Moreover, our Google Ads campaigns have had enough time to move past the initial learning phase. The data is building up, the algorithms have had room to optimize, and we’re seeing the cost per lead (CPL) come down compared to where it was in the first couple of months. The targeting has always been sharp, so the traffic coming through feels more relevant.When we launched, we had essentially zero organic presence. Now, we’re pulling in a few hundred sessions a month from search, which is a genuinely solid start for a five-month-old site with no history behind it.On the rankings side, we’ve gone from not appearing for anything meaningful to sitting on page one for a handful of local search terms that are relevant to what we do. They’re not the broadest or most competitive keywords, but they bring in the right kind of traffic, and that’s what matters at this stage.Google Ads has had a more immediate story. The first month or two were expensive while the campaigns were learning, which Pitch Black was upfront about from the start. Since then, the CPL has come down by roughly a third, and the click-through rate (CTR) has improved noticeably as the targeting has tightened up. We’re getting more relevant clicks for less spend, which is exactly the direction we want to be heading.None of these are numbers I would have expected to be quoting after just five months on a brand-new domain. The trajectory is what gives me confidence more than any single figure.

How did Pitch Black perform from a project management standpoint?

Pitch Black has set honest expectations from the start. The team hasn’t promised first-page rankings in 30 days or a flood of leads out of the gate. They’ve been upfront about the fact that a new site needs time, and they’ve focused on getting the structure and campaigns right rather than chasing vanity metrics. Five months on, I feel like we’re in a genuinely good position, and the growth curve is pointing in the right direction. We’ve used virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps to communicate with Pitch Black.

Pitch Black’s technical knowledge is impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The onboarding process was fairly technical, which took a bit of getting used to on my end. However, looking back, I think that came from Pitch Black being thorough rather than assuming we’d just take their word for it.

We had a Google account and couple campaigns set up by a previous agency. Conversion rate was low - around 3 % and the traffic our website recieved was not the highest quality. We wanted to increase conversion rate to at least 10 % in 3 months and receive at least 15 quality leads per month, within the same budget.

They are very strict with deadlines and everything was delivered on time - account audit, initial fixes, all dedicated landing pages were been built within first 6 weeks. We had direct contact with the specialist, rather than an account manager so they responded to our e-mails very quickly. Although the service fee was fairly low by local standards, we received a lot of attention and we never heard "no, this is out of scope".  Whenever we needed changes, everything was handled with no extra cost.

They were very transparent with us and didn't overpromise anything. They were also keen to share details of their work which helped us understanding Google Ads better.

Pitch Black’s work has yielded great results. Our campaign’s cost has stayed the same, but our leads have increased significantly. We’ve seen a 19% conversion rate, whereas our previous conversion rate was 2%–3%. We’ve also seen an increase in lead quality and ad spend efficiency. We started seeing results after two weeks, and our best week had a 25% conversion rate.
