Project item delivery was on time and transparency was constantly on a high-level via Slack. Regular, in-depth progress updates were offered and feedback from us was requested when thinking about design and implementation. Paralect was always ready to discuss ideas with us and see how we could implement them as effectively as possible.

Their high level of communication and transparency is impressive. It makes you realise that that they really want to make sure that you are part of the process of bringing the app to life.

This is something that is important regardless of who one works with: always aim for 100% clarity about deliverables and timelines before starting the project. Paralect did a good job with this but there are always risks and uncertainties along the way which may cause some parts of the project to take longer. Luckily, Paralect is very good at dealing with such situations.

When we came to Paralect, everything that could go wrong was going wrong with our platform. Within a short time, they fixed everything wrong with the platform and took absolute ownership of everything being released. 

I have never experienced this level of craftsmanship and ownership! I would not call Paralect a vendor anymore but a true partner with the customer's best interest in mind. If you get the chance to work with them, you'd be foolish not to. They are the real deal!

Paralect is very professional and structured. As founders, we had little experience in building a new Saas platfrom from the ground up. Paralect has been over delivering in every aspect, both in the way of working and communication towards us, and in developing the software. Delivery was always on time and we always knew exactly what the progress was. If there were blockers, we were updated on this in time, either via a bi-weekly call or via Slack.

The core product is a Google Chrome extension that captures clicks as screenshots. The screenshots are added to a pre-formatted guide template that can be upgraded with titles, summaries, links, new images, etc. The guides live in a library for communal reference. They can be assembled into reference collections. They can be assembled into assignable learning modules. Post-launch features include: Red Flag feedback system for users; Embed videos into guide steps; Toggle workspaces; Change in subscription model from Team-based to Author-based.

What challenge were you trying to address with Paralect Inc.?

We were looking for additional team members to help us launch a different solution in the healthcare industry.

SOLUTION

What is the scope of their involvement?

We initially had 10 pages of Google Docs describing what we wanted to build, for who, how it worked, and the problems it solved. Paralect Inc. used our document to understand our needs better and propose a solution. They created all the designs; we just provided them with a description and references of what we’d built before in terms of UI. Based on our feedback, they offered a complete design in Figma.

Paralect Inc. also helped us with website development during the last week of work. They built a regular SaaS website from scratch on Webflow. The main page had a description of the solution and a feature page where we showed in detail the other services we offered.

Additionally, they created a pricing page, a terms and conditions page, a privacy policy page, and a contact page where customers could leave a request. Then, we’d receive the form to talk to the customer.

The team also provided maintenance, but the hosting was based on Webflow.

We worked with four people from their team and were in contact with the head of project management, the designer, and a marketing expert.

I saw their LinkedIn ad saying they helped companies build software. They had good track records, so we called them, and everything went well. Paralect Inc. prepared a demo and presented a budget. We negotiated the price on the next call but ultimately signed the agreement.

It’s hard to measure success because it’s design work. We’re currently preparing for the product launch, but we have different expectations. Overall, we liked Paralect Inc.’s speed. They promised to deliver designs and a website within four weeks, and they did.

How did Paralect Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

The budget was fixed for the project, and they worked well within it. They also achieved all the timelines we set for them, working pretty fast on our feedback on improvements. We used Slack for communication, Figma for design, and Google Docs for documentation.

The speed and overall UI/UX experience were great. They knew how to make beautiful interfaces that were easy to use and navigate.

You need to understand precisely what you want to work with before you start. Define it strictly so you know what to expect. Then, share with the agency the timeline, the budget, and what you want to achieve. Additionally, provide examples in a written format for easy reference.
