We carry 100% officially licensed EXCLUSIVE apparel, accessories, and more from the biggest companies like Crunchyroll, Nintendo, Marvel, LucasFilm and many more. ?

We started Otakuchan.com to create one spot for all otakus that are fans of any type of art from Anime, Games, Comics or Cartoons you can find it all in our website.

Our goal whats to migrate our business away from wordpress to a new system all together they help built the frontend much faster than doing it by myself. We use gatsby for this for it is is speed and everything went very well.

We have a pricese scheddule for delivering the Project, the direct communication was very efficient. And step by step the product was delivered both on time and perfectly matching our needs!

For what projects/services did your company hire Pagepro?

As we were hired by our client, we proposed them to work with PagePro, which we already knew from a former project. Page Pro provided the developpers responsible for FrontEnd integration of an online Legal Vote solution in France.

What were your goals for this project?

The solution had to allow the use of an important shared codebase to minimize the quantity of required work through several applications while still oferring enough flexibility to support all the different possible Business Logic induced by French Law regarding the matter of online legal votes.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

As we had already had been hired by another company to intervene as BI / Tech interface between the client and PagePro, we had the occasion to work together and review PagePro's quality of work in action. That convinced us to keep working with them for later projects.

The solution is splitted into several smaller applications aimed for Solution Administration, Vote plannification, Vote Overwiew and the Voting itself.

All of those applications based on Meteor and Apollo had to share a common codebase : atomic design was key as many different business logics related to different kinds of votes were bringing a huge complexity both to Business Logic and User Stories.

To fulfill the quality requirements, PagePro provided us with a Storybook allowing us to keep a watchful eye on testing and the gradual implementation of atomic design.

What was the team composition?

The project gathered around 12 personns :

• The PO
• 2 UX/UI freelance designers
• 1 freelance Tech Lead
• 1 freelance Back End Lead
• 2 additional backend developpers, employed by the final client
• 4 front end developpers from PagePro

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project was an evolution of a first version we had the occasion to intervene on. It quickly grew in scale and specs as it needed to support many more Vote types that the first version, which was exclusively built for French Companies syndicates votes.

Doing so required a huge amount of work and a deep revamp of the codebase and network architecture, but paid off by opening a whole new market and many more opportunities for the final client.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project Management was dealt with using GitLab Issues board, Figma and Slack. Despite difficulties induced by a unexpected BackEnd rework in the mid of the project, Page Pro was able to swiftly switch between tasks and scale in order to match deadlines.

As soon as the new backend was designed and mocked, the PagePro team became unstoppable.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The features we appreciated the most from PagePro was their capability to scale the number of developers they could provide us with almost no onboarding time thanks to their effective intern management and communication.

In addition, the constant quality of their work and their commitment towards answering in the best possible time to all the adaptations we asked them offered us a great confidence in their work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little space for improvments. The only thing that could have been better handled would have been to have more written sumups of decisions taken and constraints for both side, as we sometimes misunderstood each others on phone calls, even though both PagePro and us were quick and very commited towards bringing solutions.

We were creating a SaaS application for dentists. As a Ruby on Rails company, we created the whole API.

We had idea about all business processes that have to be handled by our application, we knew all edge-cases and whole data structure. But we also needed UX and UI to be the best on the market. That is why we hired Pagepro.

Our goal was to have an application that will be really handy and each user will have no problems with understanding all of the features since business logic was quite complex.

How did you select this vendor?

Since they are main supporter of JS and React community in Białystok, we knew that they have a lot of specialist in the area of the frontend. We saw their presentations, we spoke with their developers, so there were no questions who should be select.

After we described them all business processes and domain related problems, they designed UX and UI, and then they implemented all views using most modern solutions in React.js

What was the team composition?

At the beginning of designing process, there was 2 UX designers and 1 UI&Graphic designer. During that process there was also 1 front-end developer who helped to chose between some solutions when we had to speak about estimations of given solution - I think we spared a lot of money thanks to that. After wireframes and mockups were ready, there were 3 front-end developers (2 seniors and 1 junior who was cheaper but could easily handle easier tasks).

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project not only helped us to have one of the applications that we are most proud of, but Pagepro also shared a lot of knowledge about React solutions and approach to our developers who are also interested in frontend development.

Project management was handled on our side, and Pagepro team fit in into our process immediately even though our processes were slightly different than those that they got used to. I'm still impressed with how flexible they are and how much understanding of our approaches they had.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

How they like to share their knowledge, and how open-minded they are.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little that they can improve. I would like to write that next project that we would like to create with them could be written in GraphQL - but so far as I know, most of their team is already familiar with this API language, so only improvement would bo to change "most of their team" to "their whole team".

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This would have to be one of the smoothest projects I have been involved in. Pagepro has an exceptionally disciplined and highly skilled team. They executed our project in a very short timeframe and delivered an outstanding product on time and on budget.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Right from the start, Pagepro leveraged excellent project management tools and demonstrated a clear and concise communication style, ensuring that everyone knew what had to be done and when. At no point did this partnership ever feel like us vs. them; it felt like the client/vendor were a unified team with a unified goal - in my experience, this is rare when working with vendors on fixed-priced projects.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It's hard to narrow this down, as the entire project experience was a joy, but the main thing that stood out to me were Pagepro's discipline and commitment to producing a clean, lightweight and high-quality product. Further, their coding style, framework, and methodology demonstrate a seasoned understanding of front-end technologies. Beyond that, it was incredible to witness a team working so effortlessly and efficiently together. They were highly committed to QA. Everybody hates testing, but these guys did a really thorough job, and obviously took enormous pride in and ownership of the stuff they built. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

Its hard to improve on excellence, and Pagepro is a high-class organization. The only fault I can find - and its not a fault of theirs, more of the circumstances - but Redfox and Pagepro are in very different timezones, so it meant that Pagepro began their work day as I should have ended mine. In order to keep things moving, I worked late in the evenings. Like I said, this is not a fault of Pagepro's, but I'd love to see a Pagepro studio open up down here in Australia!

The initial goal was to create a simple and well-designed minimally viable product (MVP). We wanted to make it easy for financial advisors to upload their contacts, set up a newsletter, and append their records with data.

Since then, we’ve upgraded the product with new features in order to make it more flexible for our users. For example, we created a mobile version that has allowed us to expand our user base.

We worked directly with several frontend developers. Depending on the amount of work, we had 1–3 full-time developers working on the project at any given time. In addition, other developers worked on the project part-time.

Our users are delighted with the MVP. In the last 12 months, we have increased our users by more than 100%.

The project management was very effective. We used a ticketing system to keep track of the project. Since we're based in the U.S. and they're based in Poland, we had daily stand-up meetings via Skype and online chat to answer quick questions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They had terrific developers who were thoughtful about building the application. When we reviewed the specifications, they’d give us feedback on the approach and tell us how we could improve it. They did a great job of anticipating changes we might need to make in the future—they built the system in such a way that it would be easy to implement those changes.
