What challenge were you trying to address with Oxymoron?

We needed to create a modern, user-friendly, and highly functional website that would effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients. We needed a partner who could translate our vision into a digital platform that was both a powerful marketing tool and a reflection of our company's professionalism.

Oxymoron provided us with website design and development services. The team started with a discovery and strategy phase, during which they conducted an in-depth analysis of our needs, target audience, and business goals to define the project strategy.

Oxymoron was responsible for the full UX/UI design, creating wireframes and mock-ups that were both intuitive and visually appealing. The team also handled all aspects of front- and back-end development, ensuring the site was built on a solid, scalable platform.

Regarding deliverables, Oxymoron provided us with an information architecture (IA) diagram showing the hierarchy and flow of content on the site. The team also delivered wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, and prototypes. For development, Oxymoron delivered a fully functional website and implemented a CMS.

The new website has yielded several positive outcomes that demonstrate the success of the project. We have observed tangible improvements in key areas, such as a notable decrease in bounce rate and an increase in the average time users spend on the site. Overall, we now have a good website with more information, better structure, and scalability.

Oxymoron's project management was highly professional and effective. We worked primarily with Kasia (Senior Project Manager), who did an exceptional job overseeing the entire process. Her approach was meticulous and transparent. She consistently kept us informed about progress, managed expectations, and ensured that the project stayed on track.

A key aspect of their success was their adherence to the project timeline. They delivered on every milestone as promised, which was crucial for our internal planning. We felt well-supported and confident throughout the entire collaboration. Their ability to deliver on time, combined with their clear communication, made the process smooth and stress-free.

What we found most impressive about working with Oxymoron was their data-driven approach and unwavering professionalism. Throughout the project, their recommendations were always backed by solid research or hard data. They didn't just propose creative solutions; they explained why they were the right choices based on their findings. This gave us immense confidence in their expertise and the strategic direction of the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

While our overall experience with Oxymoron was excellent, there are a couple of areas where we feel they could have improved the process.

First, from a creative design standpoint, we were hoping for a bit more 'wow' factor. While the final design is highly functional and professional, we believe there was an opportunity for more innovative and unique creative solutions that would have made the website truly stand out.

Additionally, a more streamlined process for creating a test environment would have been beneficial. We found the process to be a little less efficient than we had hoped. A more user-friendly and collaborative testing platform could have made the feedback and approval loops even faster and more seamless.

That said, these points are minor in the context of a highly successful project. Oxymoron's professionalism and dedication to delivering a high-quality product were unwavering.

We chose Oxymoron on the basis of our prior partnership - we knew they can handle the whole process of building a website, from drafting the prototypes to delivering the final product. Firstly, we briefed Oxymoron and told them our expectations regarding the website. After scoping out the project, people at the agency provided us with the prototypes, copy proposals, graphic designs and finally proceeded to code the whole thing. 
We were informed about the process through all of its stages. We’ve established a working website that is now an integral part of our brand ecosystem and of our marketing efforts. The agency understood our business needs and delivered accordingly. Fluent communication and the fact that we received holistic support from one agency and did not have to switch teams between various stages (scoping, prototyping, designing, coding).

I`m the project coordinator at the University of Lodz - one of the biggest public universities in Poland.

We have cooperated with Oxymoron on a campaign that promoted diversity and inclusivity in academia and broader in the city of Lodz. The campaign called “University Stands for Diversity” was promoting the University as a desirable place for foreign researchers and students. The campaing was realized within NAWA programme called Welcome to Poland.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

As a public body UL is obliged to apply the official public procurement law in it`s procedures. The official querry was sent to 3 companies that were found suitable for realisation of campaign. Oxymoron responded for our brief and their idea for the campaign was what really spoke to us. We liked their creativity and the visual side of their work. Addiotinally, they were ready to finilise the task in a given limited time.

Over the course of our project we started from adapting Oxymoron’s creative idea to all our communication channels. The agency then provided us with a media plan and a campaign schedule and strategy which we followed. The agency was responsible for booking and executing media, running the digital campaign and providing us with various campaign content (from KVs to mailing). Finally, after the campaign ended, we held a meeting with the agency where they summed up the work and highlighted all the successes and challenges that we have faced.

4 - a member of the board, 2 project managers, and one graphic designer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The whole campaign was very succesfull. The copy was highly appreciated within the university - it was creative, elegant and correspond to university`s visual identification. The posters are still visible on the walls.

The cooperation was largely seamless, we got in touch regularly and completed each other’s competencies.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very creative but also can act within given requirements (imposed by the programme and visual identification of the University). They followed the deadlines, which was crucial in this project, and are very flexible and client-friendly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was perfect! I wouldn`t change anything.

We’ve teamed up with Oxymoron a couple of years ago in order to improve our service. They started with thorough analysis of the product and our customers and suggested an UX solution that was an answer to our present and future needs redesigning the service in a way that could incorporate new functionalities in the upcoming future.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

At the beginning it was tough, because our service is quite complex and there was a certain amount of onboarding needed in order to get things going. But they internalized it quite quickly and the cooperation is going well. Workflow is seamless. They’re quite flexible as it comes to the channels of communication and they easily fit into our project management and communication ecosystem.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They’re empathic, always thinking firstly from the user perspective but always with clients' business goals in the back of their heads. They are not afraid to change their prior solutions and even admit some mistakes (that’s a rare thing nowadays). As the system development is a complex and prolonged process and new things pop up almost from every corner, the need for flexible thinking and swift changes are of most importance. They are always responding very quickly and are available for consultation, which is very important.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could be slightly better with process and status reporting. We’ve had some issues with that, but we’ve established regular meetings and reports and from that moment on we know perfectly at what stage in the process we’re currently at.
