The project started with an initial UX audit of the app where flaws in user flow were identified and fixes were advised. A design system was then developed based on a moodboard that we provided and finally the remaining time was used to design 5 new screens for our app.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Everything went according to expectations. They were very open and communicative and flexible with the time allocated to the projects, which we certainly appreciated.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was easy through our internal slack and the project manager's calendly link made scheduling calls easier, despite time zone differences.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their flexibility and transparency on time spent and estimating the scope of the project were impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We could've (over)communicated our expectations and requirements more clearly from the get go. Deviations on the expectations were fixed swiftly due to regular check-ins, which mitigated its impact.

Their team conducted intensive research, gathering industry reviews, user feedback, and relevant information on our competitors. After we had chosen the shades of colours, they started to work on illustrations sending us a variety of them before we chose ones' we liked the most. During the whole process we were in constant contact, either online and even met at their office.

My team worked directly with their UX/UI designers and a project manager.

We have shown the project to several of our customers and they were impressed by job they have done.

Everything went freely. We understood each other perfectly. We had both in-person and online meetings.

They were really great doing their job. They understood what we needed from and gave us advice to make our website better and even the best in our area.

Slack, email, dropbox. It was a simple project that took 5 days.

They take the time to ask the right questions and deliver based on my asks.

Not really - there was a small design element that was missed but they fixed it quickly and turned the design to exactly what we were looking for.

Outcrowd worked on a marketing site redesign for us that will launch in October 2021.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found Outcrowd through their work on Dribbble. The quality of their work immediately stood out to me, but also their professionalism in our initial meetings with them set them apart.

We did multiple rounds of information gathering in terms of what pages would need to be worked on, what design direction we would like to see, illustration styles, along with relevant comps and sites we admire.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our project lead was Alexandra, who was fantastic and extremely responsive via a shared Slack channel. We also had designers and an illustrator work on this project who we were very happy with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our deliverables included a Figma project as a source of truth for implementation, along with illustrations in .ai formats that I could tweak and customize to our needs. We've been able to leverage these assets into building out our new site in a little under two weeks.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication and workflow was extremely smooth. Alexandra was an excellent liaison communicating our wants and needs to the design team that would turn around results very quickly, often with a day or two.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their level of organization, quality of the result, and flexibility were all exceptional.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the initial explorations, I would've probably liked to see a bit more variety in the directions, but ultimately we ended up with something I'm quite pleased with.

Their speed was impressive. They respond quickly with no long delays between communications that I have seen with other designers. Responses were always inside 12 hours.
