Working with the guys was a great experience. They gave our website a fresh, modern look and really improved the main user flows for both guests and hosts. We especially appreciated how much thought they put into the onboarding process for each type of user.

They also redesigned important parts of the product like the listing catalog and individual listing pages, and helped us bring new features from our roadmap to life, including listing modifications and video reviews.

In the end, they delivered everything in Figma with a clean design system and reusable components that make it easy for us to keep building.

Working with Other Land made the whole design process fast and smooth, and our tech team had no trouble implementing it. The new design met all of our legal and technical requirements, which was very important for us.

We also heard great feedback from users. They said the experience feels much clearer and more engaging now.

Overall, everything was delivered on time. We had regular weekly meetings, but what we appreciated most was how responsive the team was in between. They kept us constantly updated and delivered new parts of the design every week, or faster if something was urgent. The whole process felt smooth, transparent, and well-managed.

What stood out most was how much they cared about our product and truly acted as part of our team. They weren’t just executing tasks. They were actively thinking about what’s best for our users and for us as a business. We had many deep discussions (and even some debates) about the best direction to take, and it always came from a shared desire to make the product better. I really value what we were able to build together.

It's hard to point out anything specific, everything went smoothly. The team was responsive and proactive. If anything came up, it was quickly discussed and resolved together. We were really happy with the collaboration overall.

We have been able to efficiently create an new app experience that is intuitive and cohesive. This has improved our onboarding flow and user engagement of key features. Because our design system and process is clearly defined and well managed, we have seen faster internal delivery.

Despite the large amount of product intiatives and different time zones, the designer's clear and consistent communication made it easy to prioritize design projects and set realistic timelines. The designer followed our roadmap closely and had no issue meeting deadlines. The OtherLand team were quick to respond to any questions or needs that arose. Between messaging, frequent collaboration meetings, and bi weekly UX Review with the entire product team, we had no issues with clarity or efficiency.

I have been impressed by our collaboration with Other Land. They have been have been able to address a large range of design needs that we required. From overhauling/organizing our limited design system, creating a new product offering and helping to shape better design processes. I appreciate their attention to detail, their responsiveness to changing requirements, and the consistent quality of designs they deliver. They are an essential part of our team that care about our product's vision and success. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Other Land could have done differently?

I don't have any areas of improvement to mention at this time. Getting our first designer up to speed took a little longer than we hoped but that was because our design documentation was extremely limited and unclear. The overhauling our design system and establishing clear design processes with our first designer made it so that the next designer did not have to experience that same struggle. Our timezones made communication a little delayed and scheduling a little more restricted. But we were able to collaborate and communicate with no issues.

From there, Other Land helped us polish the UI and redesign key flows, enhancing the experience around product discovery, filtering, and checkout.

One of the most valuable outcomes was the creation of a robust design system. It significantly sped up development, especially when adding new functionality, and helped us maintain visual and brand consistency throughout the product.

We're now working together on defining and designing new MVP features to scale the app further and support our long-term growth in the region.

I started working with Other Land after I had created a rough mock up of my vision using Figma. This was my first venture into creating an app, so I had a very basic/limited understanding of the process. The team at Other Land not only assisted me with the designs, but they helped me to focus and prioritize my ideas into an MVP. They really helped me define and organize what features I wanted in the MVP, and what features could be pushed to the second update, etc. They offered their expertise in what would be most cost efficient and/or useful and opened my eyes to many things I would have never considered. They worked very collaboratively with me and communicated/updated me frequently so there were no surprises and the design came out exactly how we wanted. They were so helpful and went above and beyond to offer expertise, options, and advice while still supporting my vision and decisions. The designs they produced were very easy to transition into code according to the development team, and they were available for any questions during that transition period. I now have a working product with a great interface that I am actively promoting!

We worked weekly sprints to accomplish meaningful progress on the project. First, we brainstormed my idea and condensed/defined it into what we wanted in the MVP. Then, we moved into a validation phase where the team at Other Land ran interviews and market research to help me test my assumptions/if there was a need for this product. This allowed us to hone in the product to ensure it was fulfilling specific wants from users. After that, we used that data to clearly define the core product and it's key features. Finally, in preparation for the transition to the development team, we polished the UX, defined a brand identity, and addressed any questions/comments from the development team.

I couldn't be happier. The team communicated very well and kept me updated on everything from big shifts to small decisions. I was always filled in on what progress was completed every day and felt very included in the whole process. They worked really hard on the project and took pride in their work and did whatever they could to help me!

Our culture fit and communication were very impressive right from the start. You can tell they are very professional and skilled in their roles, but are also very easy to talk to and get along with. They were genuinely engaged not only in the MVP, but also in me and my vision as a whole. They would offer their advice and opinions on how to improve the product while still respecting/supporting the decisions I made. They provided a ton of different services to ensure the product was viable and we were focusing on the right functionalities of the app. They were invested in the product, the idea, the budget, etc. and always provided great feedback and a great environment to bounce ideas around. I really enjoyed the collaboration and the vibe of the team.
