Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Finance Director with responsibility for vendor selection in Europe and America. The company is an IT Consulting and integration expert servicing global customers across a wide range of industries, using various technologies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ortom8 Limited?
We had a project to improve and automate a Microsoft Scheduler estate in order to improve efficiencies and reduce operating expenditure. We were interested in Ortom8's cloud based platform with a managed service offering to compliment the platform.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
All our vendor selection processes are based on getting quotes from at least 2 parties and getting presentations from both. In this instance, the selection of Ortom8 was based on pricing, perception of how well we think we could work with the people and, primarily, our view of the process and practices oof the vendor.
Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.
We needed to automate a sizable Microsoft Scheduler estate onto a platform that gave us better visibility and control over the scheduling and management of automated jobs. The Ortom8 service gave us a best of breed scheduling platform which allowed for significantly better management. There were 2 main workstreams to the project; Migration and Service Onboarding; For Migration, each batch of scheduler jobs was converted onto the Ortom8 platform with ease by the project team, tested and implemented into live. The phased approach that Ortom8 took reduced the risk to the business whilst migrating. For Service Onboarding the team integrated the processes and ways of working into their own, providing portal access to log and manage incidents and requests. The project team also provided comprehensive training to out operations team as well as documentation that allowed us to see for the first time our full batch end to end.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team consisted of an Account Manager, Technical architect, Service Operations Manager and a Project Manager. We were surprised how well the managed service element combined with our own processes and way of working, making the setting up of the support structure easy to onboard.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The project was delivered on time and within budget, there was been little/no downtime or incidents. The whole project went smoothly and was one of the best go-lives we have ever had.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had weekly calls moving to daily towards the end of the go-live. Regular email contact and always responded quickly to any requests.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Difficult to find just one thing! Possibly the expertise of the team. They made and continue to make the whole relationship exceptional.
