We had a WordPress site with high traffic that was becoming increasingly slow every day. Over the years, we made small improvements, but it was time for a substantial change. We needed to maintain all the functionalities and the content (over 50,000 articles) and their relationship with TV series and movies (more than 15,000), all while preserving its identity. This included a mobile version with a primary focus on improving speed, resource consumption, and SEO.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The primary factor for the project's success was speed. The previous site was very slow, impacting both traffic and indexing. The new site successfully passes all speed, SEO, and accessibility tests. Additionally, we managed to implement a mobile version that adapts to the capabilities of those devices without losing content. We also incorporated multimedia content automatically from YouTube and Spotify, which helps us keep users on the site longer without requiring extra effort.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

I had the opportunity to speak directly with the CEO and the Project Manager. They were in charge of driving the project forward with weekly meetings, task tracking via Basecamp, and direct communication through WhatsApp. The response was always timely and appropriate, with weekly progress reports and detailed task tracking. We discussed the intricacies and options for solving complex problems in calls or direct chat.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had a high level of involvement; they not only met the tasks needed but also proposed solutions and improvements to the product based on their vision. In addition to this, they have a multidisciplinary team that ranges from product and UX to code implementation and design. This helps in fully understanding what is happening and ensures that they do not focus solely on one part of problem-solving.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Onlines could have done differently?

Truthfully, they fulfill all that they offer very well, but I could only suggest incorporating technical staff with a deeper knowledge of servers, databases, and other backend topics to complete their technological solution offering.
