I’m the marketing communications assistant specialist at Kinematics, one of the world’s leading companies in drives and actuators for the solar-tracking industry. We also offer products for the industrial mobile crane and satellite communication industries.

We’ve been in business since 1996 and have deployed over 2 million drives. Therefore, we’re currently helping generate 53 gigawatts of solar energy through all of our customers. In my role, I’m in charge of our marketing projects.

We rebuilt our website with the assistance of Olive Street Design, which laid a solid foundation for it. They developed the homepage first because we had a very tight deadline. After that, they made pages that showed the solutions for each of the three industries we work in.

For our website, Olive Street Design created ten pages in total. Nevertheless, they collaborated with us on a training session to instruct us on how to utilize the backend and create additional pages on our own. In terms of the technology stack, the website was created using Duda.

The site includes very clear information about who we are, how we’ve become one of the industry leaders, who our leadership is, and what our sustainability efforts look like. Moreover, it has testimonials from clients on the homepage, as well as very easy ways to connect with us, allowing clients to find the right solutions for their needs.

Olive Street Design managed the project with excellent skills. Nat made sure our team and his stayed focused. He made sure that we sent them particular content or images on time from our end. Additionally, he made sure that we reviewed the progress and promptly provided feedback.

Olive Street was very accommodating and receptive to our suggestions. They made sure to carry out all of our requests and never once told us they couldn't. They have never shied away from updating the site with new content or modifications in response to user requests.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Olive Street Design could have done differently?

If Olive Street Design had included a project management tool in our engagement, that would have been nice. Even internally, I wasn't always sure if people were carrying out their assigned tasks, so we would have liked to know where their teammates were at. It would have been much better to have a project overview and to make sure that everyone was in agreement.

We've worked with Olive Street Design for several years on multiple projects, One project we worked on was a consumer website containing information for the buyers looking to compare different leisure vehicle. 
We gave Olive Street Design written briefs outline the deliverables and had discussions about what we were looking for, and they came back to us with a response and options. Olive Street Design has also been helping us replace and renew a system center where we help secure data like registration for leisure vehicles.

The comparison website that they helped us with has been very successful, and the website has worked very well. We've positive feedback from users and the industry as a whole. Olive Street Design took an idea we had and made it into reality. Overall, we feel like we have a good and strong relationship and think they're a good fit for our company.

They stay on time and within budget, and they've always done what they told us they would. They're responsive, and we known they'll react if we pick up the phone and call them. We use Trello for day-to-day communication and meet when necessary over Microsoft Teams.

They're good at solving complex problems and can break them down and simplify them. We've also been impressed with their approach and the way they're able to come to us and give an overview of what they're thinking before moving forward. Olive Street Design also react quickly when we come to them with an issues, and they seem to be growing quickly. The team is always polite and comes up with intelligent and clever options for us. They're courteous and honest about what's happening if there's ever a misunderstanding; we feel like this has contributed to our relationship being able to grow.

We wish they had a deeper understanding of our business because they could be more directive about things if they did.

I used to have a website that was made by another website developer to promote this real estate community. Although I was getting very bad SEO results, I was still reasonably happy with the website. Together with one of Olive Street Design's website developers, I developed a strategy that included a clear idea of what I wanted and the exact content I required. 
He did an AMAZING job creating the first design, which I just had to make a few small adjustments to make it perfect. The website's end result "WOWED" me greatly.

A good friend of mine in Chicago builds high end custom homes. He recommended Olive Street Design to me. I looked at other websites they have designed, and liked what I saw.

I had a previous website for marketing this real estate community another website developer had created. I was somewhat satisfied with the website but was getting very poor SEO results. I strategized with one of Olive Street Design's website developers providing a vision of what I was looking for and specific content I needed. He VERY successfully created an initial design, which only needed minor tweaks to have it be exactly what I was looking for. I was very "WOWED" by the final result of the website.

Our website was 6 years old. We needed an all new website with an up to date look. It needed to be much easier to navigate. It needed to tell a story that would be useful for different types of people that came to the website. It needed to have actions that people could take.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

At the same time as this project we were also changing our back end system. The people doing it referred us to Olive Street. We Met with them. We had already done a lot of marketing work getting clarity on our avatar and our message. We needed a webs design team to make them a reality. Olive street gave us a basic design as a proposal and we could see that they got what we were talking about. Their price was reasonable. So we said yes.

We provided a great deal of the copy and the structure. Olive street then created a wire frame that we approved. Then they created look and feel. Once the basics were done, We selected images and the like. The next step was to build everything out. Then there were several rounds of tweaking. We've gotten tons of positive feedback on the new Website. The look , the navigation. Its a bit too soon to tell about comparative google analytics.

Frankly, I have high expectations and I am usually disappointed by the service and the responsiveness of most companies and people.

Olive Street exceeded every single expectation that I had. When I first saw the movie the Fellowship of the Ring and in the final scene where you see Mordor from a distance, I thought, “My God that is exactly what I saw in my mind when I read the book!!” That's what Olive Street Design did. Only they went one better than Peter Jackson. I already had a vision based on Tolkien's book. For the website, I didn't have a vision, until Olive Street Design brought it to life.
