I’m the owner of Vekst LLC, a software development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with OINO?

We needed a company that could provide us with web and software development support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired OINO to handle the development of our one and only product at this time, which is called the Feed List Pro, a web app. We use a Chrome extension as well as a platform based on a standard website that ties into the Chrome extension. The Chrome extension gathers the information, and then the website will organize that information into what we use it for now.

We are still in contact with them on an as-needed basis as we gain our first foundation of users. If any bugs need fixes or anything cosmetic comes up, we use their services.

I found OINO through LinkedIn.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $60,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have 42 new customers, 28 successful payments, and ten active subscribers month-to-month. In terms of revenue, we've seen $1,300 dollars in revenue in a little over three months.

How did OINO perform from a project management standpoint?

OINO has performed well in terms of project management. They delivered everything on time, and the budget was well-communicated. They have their own proprietary platform called Bee, where we manage all of our communication and log all of our hours and tasks.

We typically communicate through Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with OINO’s flexibility. There have been a few times when we weren't able to pay them right on the due date, and they’ve been very generous in offering us extensions. We can also be annoying with all of our small requests here and there, but OINO has been incredibly open-minded to our ideas.

I also appreciate how they’re able to give us pushback on some of the ideas that they do not think would work as well. That is essential because they’re the experts in this field, not us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We experienced a little bit of confusion due to language barriers, but that did not affect any of our projects overall. It would have also been great if they took a little more time in the beginning stages of developing the wireframe. I feel like if we had taken a couple of extra meetings or clarifications on the wireframing right at the beginning, we would have saved a little bit of time on the backend.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to come in prepared with a wireframe, possibly a business plan, and to have your ducks in a row before hiring anybody really to do a project for you.

I was the founder of FlameVee, a dating app for those who are deaf.

I wanted to develop a mobile app for the dating service.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Oino reached out to me on LinkedIn after seeing my post & their pricing and explanations for it was the best out of all who responded.

We met several times, to develop a prototype. I approved the colors, the look and such.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A project manager and a couple of team members. Not sure if they were front end or back end.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The prototype was well done. Unfortunately I couldn’t raise the funds to turn it into a full app.

They were very communicative. They used one of their tools, Bee, to help everyone stay on track and I could follow along.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I don’t really know since they’re the only developers I’ve worked with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I did not give permission for my text number to be given to Clutch for this review. I kept getting unwanted calls and I’m not happy about this. Both Clutch and Oino have been quite aggressive in getting my review. This is problematic. Oino does good products but a reconsideration of this review process is mandatory if they want to keep succeeding.

I'm the co-founder of a innovative product development and manufacturing company. We sell our products both B2B and direct to consumer via e-commerce.

For what projects/services did your company hire OINO, and what were your goals?

We hired OINO to help develop our first technology product. It was a rather simple project and did not involve web development, rather it involved custom programming for a hardware item intended for the music products industry.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were searching for a development partner as we do not have development in-house (this was our first technology product). After posting on LinkedIn, OINO reached out and their prior experience, project portfolio and price helped us to decide to enlist their services.

We worked with OINO's team to convey our ultimate product goals and to figure out how to achieve it. During the course of prototype development, OINO's engineers helped to refine the vision and capabilities of the product into a package that would fit within our ultimate range pricing range for the consumer.

We worked with two developers/engineers that OINO provided.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

OINO was able to deliver the agreed upon prototype that proved the concept. They provided 3 final hardware pieces and also helped to give us an idea of what kind of manufacturing partners we needed to find in order to go into actual product manufacturing.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

OINO was very communicative at all stages and used a project management tool, Trello, that allowed us to see what stages they were at at all times.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Even though we came to them with a product that was not like their normal development jobs, they were happy to work with us to achieve our goal and gave it the same care and attention to detail that imagine they do with more traditional development projects.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A little more time on their own spent looking into the type of hardware we needed to use could have been helpful, but we were able to provide that and did not necessarily impede progress. It just would have helped if they would have been able to do a little more of that legwork.
