Developement of shared platform for stakeholders involved in supply chain for hazmat, especially chemicals. Get a PMV to show all involved companies main benefits and potential.

We prepared an auction, based on referrals from partners, and we balanced Background-Flexibility-Price.

Platfom had a main administration from transport chamber, to include hazmat goods givers, transport companies & assets, and goods receivers. Once they were accepted, they can list all available assets to operate and permits from many areas & certificates. They can handle raw data and images, and show only necessary information to third parts, to both guarantee legal certificates and preserve confidencial company data.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Good job, outcomes were mainly as planned. Timeline was also according to forseen. Design was super nice, adapted to new trends.

Their management style was flexible and goal-oriented, working on processes throughout. Communication was very fast, using tools for support and bugs. Also appreciate having an user to check developements.

Closeness to the project and involved with results. Quick deliveries as well.

Somehow fast in some areas to define background developement, and lack of discussion on a few issues that we don't 100% agree.

About 8 months we had the first production outcomes, before that octa used scrum methodology and they delivered outcomes at every 2 weeks

The methodology used was scrum, they delivered outcomes every 2 weeks, the deadline was 9 months and the tools we used was jira to track the stories and issues, google suite to present reviews and meetings.

I think was the compromise and the propuse a new features for the app

i will wanted status reports, alert for an deadlines in warning or danger, and more focus in the present.

There are always different views on how things should have been done. We believe that everybody should learn from experience, correct the mistakes we all make, and make things better when similar situations arise.

I'm the CEO of Crowder, a Uruguayan digital stock exchange for LATAM startups. Under regulation of the Central Bank of Uruguay, we provide companies a platform to issue simplified IPOs (either equity or debt) in which users can invest in.

The platform also comprises a secondary market where investors can buy & sell their investments in real time.

We needed to develop the initial version of Crowder's platform, in compliance with all regulatory requirements demanded by the Central Bank of Uruguay.

Our main goal was to obtain a well developed platform that would comply with all regulatory aspects and allows us to submit our request to legally operate before the Central Bank of Uruguay.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We got in touch with OCTA through one of our co-founders. Their vast experience in the fintech industry (+10 years) and the fact that they had clients and successful projects all around LATAM were determining factors for our decision to hire OCTA for our project.

The scope of work included the development of our initial platform comprising:

• Main page (introductory information, main campaigns, partners and fellows)
• About us tab (information regarding the company and its founders)
• Learn tab (information regarding financial education, platform terms, functions and its risks)
• Investment tab (financing active campaigns for users to invest in)
• Raise tab (information for companies desiring to raise funds through Crowder)
• User profile (a module for users to create their personal profiles requiring KYC and AML information). Through such profile, users can upload their companies and create their campaigns.
• Secondary market (a module where users can buy&sell their investments).

OCTA's tema included; 1 Lead Tech, 1 PM, 1 Full stack developer, 2 Backend developers, 1 Frontend developer, 1 UX/UI Designer, and 1 QA

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As a result of the project, we obtained a well developed platform that complied with all our legal and regulatory requirements. It allowed us to submit our request for a license to operate before the Central Bank of Uruguay.

Project management was smooth and fast. We had reports and meetings on a two-week basis and constant communication through Slack which we found very convenient and helpful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their know-how and experience in the fintech industry are superb. Their founders have been working in LATAM's financial ecosystem for quiet a while, and they are serial entrepreneurs which gave us confidence at all times.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

From our experience I could not suggest any specific area for improvement. We had a very good experience working with OCTA.
