## Portfolio & Awards

### Scaling Paid Media for Snowflake
Obility helped Snowflake scale from around $15K in media invested per month to over $700K per month and the largest tech IPO at the time. Obility’s Data team and Paid Search, SEO, and Paid Social teams coordinated to drive strong outcomes.
The Challenge
With a historical focus on opportunities and increased opportunity growth, Obility was tasked with changing direction and asked to focus on driving new names from good fit accounts. This adjustment required our team to approach our digital efforts anew and parse the data to understand what offers, channels, and audience targeting were most effective to accomplish our new directive.
With the change in KPIs from Opps to NNMQLs, this called for a restructure in overall strategy. Paid social was an area that was seeing massive growth so the shift in KPIs could affect its trajectory in performance. Other areas that needed improvement were regional breakouts from APAC as we were seeing low numbers of leads historically.
The SolutionShifted budget towards prospecting efforts on all platforms and optimized bi-weekly to saturate top performing combination
Launched multiple assets to test against each other within the unique audience definitions that were targeted
Greater emphasis on user engagement beyond content downloads (Webinars, Academies, Digital Events, etc.)
Audience testing in perpetuity to determine the optimal targeting mix by platform, region, and verticalThe Results24X Increase in Conversion Rates

### Blog Migration for Autodesk
Blog migration: it can be labor-intensive and fraught with all kinds of challenges that can derail your ability to grow your organic traffic. However, this is another area where Obility excels. Autodesk acquired four new brands and was looking to migrate the blogs onto Autodesks’s Construction Cloud blog. The Challenge: Migrate the blogs of four new Autodesk acquisitions onto the Autodesk Construction Cloud blog.
Establish organic visibility and SEO equity for the acquired brands within the Autodesk Construction suite.
Maintain the acquired brands’ SEO equity and re-direct traffic to the Autodesk site
The Solution:
Evaluation of Blog Posts across all four acquired business units to identify those worth migrating
Organic keyword review and expansion
Migration + optimization of all newly migrated blog content
Content roadmap to guide future content creation
Our Results:
Organic sessions for Q1 (7,383) vs. Q4 (101,286) is a 1,272% increase
MoM increase in organic sessions throughout 2020; from 5,080 sessions in H1 to 23,316 in H2
Tier 1 Blogs accounted for 56% of our monthly traffic (21,203/37,630) in December 2020
Of our 36 target KWs, 24 of them are ranking on page 1

### How To Rank in AI Overviews & Generative Engines
Our client, Boomi, sought to expand its digital presence beyond traditional SEO and into the evolving landscape of generative engine optimization (GEO) by ranking in Google AI Overviews and generative engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity. Our Goals:1. Target AI Overviews – secure visibility in Google’s AI-generated search summaries.2. Increase Presence in Generative Engines – ensure Boomi’s content is sourced and cited in AI-driven search results
Our Approach: We combined SEO and GEO best practices to maximize Boomi’s visibility:
1. Keyword & Content Gap Analysis- Conducted bottom-of-funnel (BOFU) long-tail keyword research that generative engines and AI overviews favor - Analyzed content gaps between Boomi and competitors to find opportunities to take over AI overview where competitors were featured- Prioritized keywords based on their relevance and search volume, as well as the likelihood of appearing in AI overviews and influencing generative engine outputs2. Content Creation & Optimization - Developed content collections and supporting pages optimized for AI-driven search experiences- Optimized existing content using generative engine best practices, including FAQ schema markup to enhance content visibility in AI-generated responses
3. Performance Tracking & Reporting- Created a custom reporting dashboard to track Boomi and competitor rankings in AI Overviews and generative engine- Monitored Boomi and competitors' performance, providing insights into how AI-driven search results were evolving
The ResultsIn just two months, Obility’s strategy delivered a significant impact:- 20 newly created content pieces ranked in Google’s AI Overviews- 40 previously existing blog posts optimized by Obility surfaced in AI-generated search responses

### Onsite Content Optimization for Organic Traffic
For Fastly, their goal was to create more awareness within their target market and drive traffic to the education part of their website called the learning center to expose people who may not be familiar with Fastly to their product. We helped them optimize their learning center, creating educational content for companies implementing a CDN and looking to fight bot traffic, DDOS attacks, and build in application security. Our approached focused on 3 parts: -Technical “how to” keyword research & identification-Creating SEO content targeting Learning Center keyword themes-Internal linking plan to drive traffic between collectionsThis led to +39% in Increase in Organic Traffic YOY

### PLG Optimizing Free Trials to Paid Users
Our client is a cloud hosting provider in the B2B space. They target IT and developers at B2B companies.
Obility’s client was facing a well-known challenge in the B2B world: they use product lead growth to drive new users, but were having trouble converting those users into paying customers. The client offered a significant credit for a 30-day free trial, which led to a large amount of people signing up, but these users were canceling before once their credits were used.  Our approach to this was:  -A/B tested ad images and ad copy variations, refined and refreshed the ABM list, retargeted engaged users-Implemented offline conversion tracking so conversions could be further tracked down the funnel, not only to sign-up but all the way to users who have submitted their credit card in their account-Shifted budgets to ad types driving payments, not just free trials   Results-Grew the number of free trial sign ups by 68% within one quarter-Grew the number of payments by 56% within one quarter-86% increase in total payment amount after free trial period

### Pipeline Growth: Paid Campaigns for Marketo
The ChallengeMarketo was focusing efforts and spend on driving leads. Therefore, a large amount of spend was being attributed to the campaigns that drove the highest number of leads but we were unable to determine if those leads were actually turning into real opportunities.Obility started tracking Pipeline and Opportunities back to the campaign level for each platform. Marketo and Obility quickly started to notice that campaigns that were driving a high number of leads weren’t necessarily driving opportunities. Then as spend began to be reined in on all platforms, Marketo and Obility decided to take a lead quality approach to driving ROI.The Solution

Tracked Opportunities back to the campaign level for each platform
Identified the campaigns with the highest Pipe: Cost ratios
Cut the fat, pausing campaigns across platforms that weren’t resulting in Opportunities
Saturated budgets to campaigns with the highest Pipe: Cost ratio

The ResultsOverall, spend decreased drastically YoY but Pipe: Cost increased on all channels (see chart).
LinkedIn spend had a 40% decrease YoY in spend and saw a 27% decrease in leads YoY. However, Pipeline doubled YoY and Pipe:Cost increased by 224%.
Facebook spend was decreased by 66% YoY, and saw a 56% decrease in leads. However, the quality of Opportunities improved and we saw an increase in Pipe:Cost ratio of 168% YoY.
Google Ads exhibited a 59% decrease in spend YoY, which resulted in a 37% drop in leads & 44% drop in Opportunity volume. While volume decreased, quality saw strong improvement as the Pipe: Cost ratio more than doubled and average Opportunity size increased 69% YoY.
