Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the art director for Shang Shung Institute Ltd. UK, a nonprofit institution for preserving Tibetan cultural heritage.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Nude Digital?

We needed to advertise and disseminate information about a series of workshops that we have been doing. We also needed to manage an event and raise its profile, the brand — the brand being the institution — and our programming.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve been doing things in-house and realized that we were falling short and not making the most of the incredible programming that we have.

One of the projects that Nude Digital has done with us was the Yantra yoga event, which is a very rare type of Tibetan yoga — it’s unique and its lineage is unbroken. We were trying to get the message across since many people did not know about it.

Nude Digital advised us on the best ways to get the word out. They created fliers and letters for us, with a follow-up on this particular event's most efficient expenditure. We focused mainly on social media, like Instagram and Facebook, to make us more visible to different audiences.

In addition to taking care of our social media campaigns, they’re also training us in some ways, and they can be hands-on and hands-off as we wish. They advise us on future programming as well as on making the most out of our MailChimp.

How did you come to work with Nude Digital?

We contacted them through their Instagram page. We liked their branding and reputation, but we chose them mostly because they were very approachable and accessible.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about £200 (approximately $270 USD) in the first part of the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We engaged them in September 2020, and the partnership’s ongoing for more projects.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I find Nude Digital to be very clear, open, accessible, and bespoke to the needs of our institution. They come across as ethical and take a genuine interest in the programming that we’re doing.

We’re kicking off another project soon, and we’ve got two more projects we’re working on. When those are finished, we’re going to work on our lecture series.

They take the time to find out who we are, and they seem to care about making sure that we are cautious. We’ve been following the advice they’ve been giving on their website for our Instagram and Facebook.

We found a synergy between us; we understood what they’re saying in terms of raising brand awareness and making what we do more accessible across different platforms. How they explain things has been useful to us.

How did Nude Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

We have our initial chats, check-ins at different stages and milestones, and a final meeting. We go through what works and how we can improve. That’s what I would call a wash-up or review meeting. I find those meetings to be quite efficient and succinct.

Nude Digital is also very transparent about managing expectations and advising on the appropriate budget. In terms of project management, they’re spot on, on target, and meet deadlines. They set realistic timelines both for themselves and ourselves and are very good at listening and asking appropriate questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very enthusiastic, engaged, and ethical, more so than anyone else we’ve worked with. We feel we’re in safe hands.

Their designs are really strong and bespoke; they’ve become quite identifiable as we’ve gone on and worked on different projects together, capturing who is leading the workshop and who our target audience is. The imagery and typography also quite fit the purpose.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there are areas where they need to improve. I can’t possibly see how they can improve because they’re extremely efficient.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re the right people to work with. Listen to what they have to say and provide them any information that’s being requested. They’ll take the time to listen and understand. Think about your lead-in times.

We worked with the team at Nude to develop a GTM full-funnel advertising strategy based on our current customer data and research. This included identifying the best channels for us to run ads on, what type of ads we should run, how those ads fit into our unique customer journey, and the development, management, and measurement of those channels.

Our main goal was to increase the number of direct enquiries and demos through our platform on the website. We also wanted to increase our overall brand awareness and showcase our differentiation as there are many competitors entering the market in 2023/2024.

The team went above and beyond from the start, with a detailed workshop to help us solidify our messaging in the market, and in turn, create ads that speak to our audience (educators) across the UK, US and Australia.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The primary metrics we measured were the increase in qualified leads, demos booked and the cost per lead. However, the overall coal was the cost per conversion, which was a customer going from a demo to signing a yearly contract with us. The team managed to lower our cost per conversion by 18% in comparison to last year, and also increase our pipeline by 30%.

Overall, the project was managed seamlessly, and they continue to do so today. The team are actually chasing us for updates, which is partly my fault, and adapted to our CRM and comms systems very well.

We've worked with several agencies prior to Nude, both successfully and unsucessfully, however, the one thing that stood out from the rest was their ability to put themselves in our customers shoes and really understand what drives them to make decisions. This took a lot of stress away from our marketing manager, and also helped us to hit the ground running once we launched out ads.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Nude Digital Ltd could have done differently?

Although this is in the past, I would have liked to have seen a detailed plan of action before we sign a contract, as it's harder for us to sell the project to our investors without justification. However, I am aware that most of the work happens after signing the contract. Other than that, no improvements from our end. They are a pleasure to work with!
