I can’t state anything about uniqueness since I never worked with an app development company before. I just thought they did a great job.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I wish, I knew about the change orders and would have preferred it if I knew more about the stringent SOW I agreed to. I guess that’s more my fault, but would have liked it if someone pointed it out to me to go over my requirements in better detail.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My name is Nuno Vungo, I am the co-founder and CEO of Global One Route, LLC a California based import & export company. In an attempt to expand our company’s portfolio, Global One Route has decided to launch an e-commerce platform with the brand name Freshcart. Freshcart as it stands now is an online grocery delivery platform created to serve the Angolan & Portuguese market.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The NineHertz?
As I mentioned on my earlier review, I was having multiple issues including, deliverables & communication issues with the project manager at Ninehertz and everything seemed to be going bad. However, I am happy and glad to say that after my review, I was contacted by Ninehertz CEO Mr. Narendra and the company’s delivery manager Mr. Devraj.
Both Devraj and Narendra expressed that they wanted to make it right. And soon after they contacted me, they created a task force of dedicated developers and designers to work on my project; and within 60 days, these team under the leadership of Devraj did an outstanding job.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Both Devraj and Narendra’s and the dedicated team were full available and emerged into the project. In addition to email communication, we communicated via the WhatsApp most of the time. We also created a google spreadsheet to track the tasks. So, they were fully involved.
What is the team dynamic?
We had a very dynamic communication between their team and mine. Ninehertz developers were quick to fix the issues we pointed out and Devraj was on top it.
How did you come to work with The NineHertz?
I came to work with Ninehertz in May 2020. I found the company via a google search of the best Website & Mobile App developers.
How much have you invested with them?
I have invested over $32,000.00 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
During the past 60 plus days, the engagement was dynamic and very responsive. I would even go further to say extraordinary.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
How did your relationship with the vendor evolve?
My relationship with Ninehertz, went from trust to lost of trust to trust them again. I am back to trust them again because they within these 60 plus days Devraj and his team have truly put the work. They’ve worked on my project as he and Narendra the CEO said they would. They fixed the major issues; and currently they are still fixing the emails receipt format. So, I am glad to see that so far, they have held to their words.
How did The NineHertz address the challenges that arose?
As soon as I was contacted by both Narendra and Devraj, they had set/created a WhatsApp group so that we could communicate and address all the issues, in particular urgent ones. They have also put on our project a task group of dedicated developers and designers who have been working on the project with dedication.
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
We have not yet done the beta launch yet, since we still fixing minor issues such as the email receipt format, but I can now say that for the past 60 plus days this current engagement has had a positive impact on my business. Devraj has even offered SEO marketing optimization suggestions.
How was project management handled?
This time, it was handled well and professionally. I did not have to deal with the previous project manager. This time, Devraj was the project manager I can attest that he did well. He communicates and shows interest and understanding throughout the past 60 plus days.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
Oh yes, Devraj’s leadership and communication skills served well. He was very communicative, detailed, professional, and compassionate to our project and cause. I think it’s important to have such honest, professional and communicative project manager who shows sympathy to the project.
In what specific areas can they improve?
I think finding project managers that put themselves on the shoes of their clients, respect partners time, and managers that communicate well.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
I think you should go with the dedicated team, ask to speak to Narendra the CEO and Devraj. Create a rapport with them and also be on top of your project.

Project Summary
An import and export company hired The NineHertz to create an interactive website and mobile app. They used PHP to build the platform. They initially offered a white-label website.
Feedback Summary
The client ended up paying over $32,000 for a failed service. They stepped away soon after they started the project, and shortly after, they made mistakes over and over again. Most of all, the team lacked professionalism, integrity, and respect for the whole project.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of an Import & Export company based in California
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire The NineHertz, and what were your goals?
We wanted to create a user-friendly website and mobile app for groceries stores. Our goal was to create an interactive website and mobile apps platform that allow users to shop and have their product delivered to them without the hassle on heading to the store.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We researched online and their pop on the google search engine. We then inquired and spoke to them. The give us a cost for the project that at the time seemed reasonable and within our budget.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a series of meeting with them that took place every monday night for us in the USA and Tuesday Mornings for them in India. We started working with them on the website first which was been developed using the PHP language. The first, they were offering us a white label website, but we had a vision and new what we wanted, so asked them to develop the website and applications for us from the ground up. So, we shared the designs with them. Let me say that the mobile apps were develop using the react native language.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We started with the first project manager that was assigned to our project (she was good) & one back end developer even though they said to us at the beginning there were 9 people working our project. Then they swiped the project manager a year+ later with someone else (this person was horrible), then they switched again with another project manager (this one was more focused on getting money from us).
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We worked with them for 2 years and 6 months on a project that was promised and supposed to be delivered within 6 months to one year. They kept on running schemes on us. The communication went from bad to worst. We paid them in full for the project in hoping that we would receive something practical and workable; to our surprise, we received a prototype full of bags, nothing works, with codes that static in some areas and not in other. Our mistake was not to force them to use our environment server and trusting on what they were showing to us from their demo server. It was a completely scheme and deceit. Nothing works, we paid them over $32,000.00 on a project that does not work.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project manager that started to work with us on the website, seemed very pronto and willing to help us, but abruptly she stepped away from our project. Then they put a person that was not at professional, that kept lying to us, did not delivery what he promised on time whatsoever; then the last project manager, was more focused on getting invoice paid before any milestone was completed. He lied a lot, took his time to reply to our emails and Skype msgs. Only when we copied this company director to the emails that is when he would reply to us.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Nothing!!! Perhaps, how deceiving and able to misrepresent their capabilities and abilities to do the work. Maybe their turnovers, it's ability to hire what seems like dev freelancers to work on the projects. We believe that's what exactly happened to us, everyone that the brought in to work on our project, including the project manager, seemed to have his/her team. And each team brought or created a hard code to the point when they would make a change somewhere it would screw up something else. The same mistakes were happening over an over again. We kept explaining the project over and over to this new person. This company has no quality, integrity, and respect to peoples money and obejectives whatsoever, and they lack professionalism.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Yes, they should stop overselling themselves, lying that they can do what they cannot do whatsoever. They should stop promising and stop deceiving companies like mine. Don't fall on their trap like we did. We lost money on them. We paid for a car and thought we are going to get one, but we received a scooter that does not work. Please avoid our mistake, do not trust their google reviews..., do your due-diligence very carefully, and do not allow them to have your project on their demo server. Also, do not pay them right way without checking in details (in your environment server) what they did.

A social networking application hired The NineHertz to design and develop an iOS and Android application. Key features include profile creation, a chat feature, a newsfeed, and a journaling feature.
The client has been thrilled with the work from The NineHertz, and has received positive external feedback from users. The client was particularly impressed with The NineHertz’s project management and ability to stay on schedule and seamlessly guide the client through the process.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m one of the founders of #VENT; this project is based on peer-to-peer therapy for people to reach out to their neighbors instead of bottling everything up.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The NineHertz?
We were looking to build an application.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We went through a discovery phase where we talked about the features we were looking for, and The NineHertz put together a full proposal. After that, we went through the design and how we wanted it to look, and then the different phases of the project. The app was built from scratch.
The app works like social media, so users can create a profile and choose from two different kinds of engagements. There is a chat feature with audio and texting and a newsfeed based on emotional conversation. Users can create groups and search for friends nearby, and there is also a journal feature that a user can save entries to look back on later.
The NineHertz designed the entire application. We gave them a color scheme to start with, and they designed the logo. Key technologies included AWS and GoDaddy for the domain; the app is compatible with iOS and Android. The NineHertz is offering us maintenance services as well.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, a designer, and a backend developer.
How did you come to work with The NineHertz?
We found them through Clutch; we were looking at a few different companies, and one of the companies we spoke to was The NineHertz. We talked through the application and what we were looking for, and after a few weeks we decided to move forward with The NineHertz.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $33,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together between May 2022–January 2023.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app recently launched, so we don’t have much data, but we’ve had positive external feedback from users. Overall, we’re happy we could start and finish this project together, and we feel like they helped us develop a design that didn’t take over the whole app.
How did The NineHertz perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager was incredible and was there for us the entire time. He always attended every meeting and ensured we were involved in the process. He scheduled everything and always checked to make sure we understood what was happening; even when we missed meetings on our end, he was patient.
We were very nitpicky about the details, and The NineHertz did a fantastic job staying on time and making sure everything was up to our satisfaction. We typically communicated via WhatsApp, emails, and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They always prioritized the work with us, and they accommodated our schedule. We were in different time zones, but it was never an inconvenience on our end.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing we can come up with.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is one of the most important things in the engagement; don’t be shy about your concerns or The NineHertz's response to them. They’re very good at working with their clients and coming up with custom designs.

My company is specialized in the purchase/sale of American vehicles. I am the general manager
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire The NineHertz, and what were your goals?
Develop a user-friendly website dedicated to the purchase/sale of American vehicles. I wanted a user friendly site and easy to use for the admin, as I am not a computer scientist
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
The reviews on The NineHertz were very positive and it was recommended to me. They were very competitive both in price and development performance
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I dealt with an agency in Switzerland (Flash Design) and I can't answer this question at my level
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were about 5 of them but I don't know what their exact positions were, because I passed through an agency in Switzerland
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I am very satisfied with the final result as well as with the maintenance of the website. We always get a quick and clear answer. The interlocutors at The NoneHertz are friendly, reactive and easily approachable

As mentioned above, I had absolutely nothing negative to say about The NineHertz as they were true professionals.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The fast and professional processing of requests, the suggestions for improving the website, the friendliness of the interlocutors
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Once you understand how to get in touch with the contacts for website maintenance, everything is fine. The first time I had to contact them after the development of the site for maintenance, it was not easy. So maybe you should tell your customers more clearly how to communicate and with whom for the maintenance of the website

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
Zambezi Tambara Conservancy SA (ZTC) – A wildlife conservation and management company. David - Managing Director
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire The NineHertz, and what were your goals?
ZTC hired Nine Hertz to design and make a website and membership platform that will receive donations and convert them into points that may be used on the ZTC amenities on the conservancy. We plan to use the platform as a source of financing for the project in-order to make the conservancy a sustainable project through the drive of tourists, also insuring to secure a good and loyal clientele base.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I scouted the internet and among the companies listed, we looked for a company that had done a project with some curtain elements for us to consider that it was close to what we required.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The Scope of the project is to have a platform wherein the users can donate the amount to save the wildlife and can also book accommodation and activity. This platform shows the project that we are working on to save the environment.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
In the team member, they are 8 members. 1 is Project Manager 3 Developers 2 Testers 1 Business Analyst 1 WebDesigner
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The platform managed to achieve what we required. Upgrades will be done as we go, as it’s quite a complex project and as we incorporate more members, people will request for more services to be added and I am quite sure that The Ninehertz will be able to take good care of that.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
I loved the Active collab management tool. It made life so easy and work is traceable. The team really goes deep down into details and you can see that the team has its heart and mind on my project. Keep it up.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The ability to see beyond what has been requested was my greatest admiration for the team.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
In my case, I think we first had different ideology of how the platform was to work. There had more interest in making it a very commercial platform, and we were using it as a platform just to cater for our conservation area only. The ideology is good, but we will create something else different to cater for the general market.

I was most impressed by how quickly they worked while maintaining the highest possible quality. If we ever decided that we wanted something to be changed, they were quick to have it arranged.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There is nothing that I would have changed about their work. They were both efficient and thorough.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a music and video entertainment platform.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The NineHertz?
I recently came up with an app for local artists in India. It’s a video platform where these artists can share their own videos. I needed a company that could develop this app for iOS and Android.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I hired The NineHertz to build a mobile app for iOS and Android. We started the engagement with a discussion about what I wanted. The NineHertz then came up with a formal business requirement document based on our discussion. After that, they provided a functional requirement document and took the time to explain how each phase of the app would be built, who would play what roles, and what technology stack to use. They ended up using React Native for the frontend and PHP Laravel for the backend and admin panel.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with a business analyst, a project manager, two frontend developers, one backend developer, two testers, and a delivery manager from The NineHertz.
How did you come to work with The NineHertz?
I found The NineHertz through online research and word of mouth. They had previously done a project with a friend of mine, and it was a success. I also found them on Clutch and saw the positive reviews that their previous clients had left them. I ultimately chose them because they provided suggestions to improve the product for users even before the project started.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around ₹4,000,000 (Approximately $50,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The NineHertz has delivered everything according to my expectations. The app has done well in performance testing, and we haven’t experienced any bugs or crashes. The NineHertz has done a great job of double-checking everything before delivering them.
How did The NineHertz perform from a project management standpoint?
The NineHertz has done well in terms of project management. They are consistent in delivering on time. They also provide detailed reports for each milestone, which fosters a transparent workflow.
We use ActiveCollab for project management and Google Meet for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with The NineHertz’s professionalism and transparency. I also appreciate how they think about the long-term — they’ve provided great suggestions on how to build the app so that it works and looks good years later.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think there’s anything they could do better. I’m very happy with their work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to be transparent with them.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the CEO and founder of a travel startup. We create customized itineraries for our app users. And are a one-stop shop travel essentials app.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire The NineHertz, and what were your goals?
TripsPilot was just an idea that we didn’t know could fully happen until we created the UI/UX design on Figma and reached out to NineHertz. The NineHertz has assisted me with bringing this app to life. They were able to build the code needed for my app to work (for Apple and Android) and even designed the website to match the app.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I saw the many positive reviews on Clutch and was convinced this was the company for me after speaking with a business analyst!
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives with one of the best business analysts on NineHertz team named Kunal. He is a great asset to NineHertz and I highly recommend him. He knows business, business strategy and monetization, and can provide great advice when discussing your goals for your project. From there, my cofounder and I had already created mock-ups and wireframes for our app on Figma and provided that to NineHertz as a point of reference. After a few iterations and discussions on functionality, their team designed a more modernized version of my travel app for iOS and began work.
Halfway through the completion of the iOS version of my app, I decided I wanted a Android version as well as a website built by NineHertz, specifically my project manager Pankaj since he had already done such a phenomenal job so far with how my iOS version was coming along. No matter the project steps, challenges Covid-19 created for lots of companies, Pankaj managed to keep my project and dream app coming along together despite Pandemic delaying some key deliverable times and resources.
They managed to take everything in stride and ensured that my app and website were everything they promised and I can say 120% I highly recommend NineHertz for any development project. Best people to have on your team are Kunal and Pankaj.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the mobile app and website development. Pankaj is the absolute best. Whatever they’re paying him, I hope it’s great because he’s highly deserving of the best salary for his expertise. He handled Project Management, Progress Update, Team co- ordination, Project Delivery. I also had:
1 team leader, he handled Team Management, Development help to the team, programming and planning
2 software programmers that handled front-end and back-end programming
2 mobile app designers that were mobile screen designer and a developer
1 tester for application testing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
There are no measurable outcomes as of yet, because I will be launching my app and website in a couple weeks.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Pankaj was very easy to reach through WhatsApp and GoogleMeet for video calls. He was very timely in his deliveries and explained why some things weren’t able to be done and what solutions he can offer instead. ActiveCollab was a great resource for reaching out and connecting with the team and receiving key deliverables and milestones as the main point of contact.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
That their business analyst Kunal, was so business savvy when kicking off my first meeting with NineHertz. I was impressed with how at ease Kunal made me feel with this huge decision in deciding on a development company to complete my project and the business knowledge he gave when discussing the functions that will make my app successful that NineHertz could develop for me. I was impressed with my project manager, Pankaj for showing me even during a Covid-19 Pandemic that he and his NineHertz team were going to achieve all my goals and objectives for my project within my budget and timeframe.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There were a couple minor details that we discussed with the NineHertz team that could possibly be a small concern/bug when the app and website launch in a couple weeks but they already reassured us that if it any bug happens, they’ll fix it promptly so I know they always have kept their word and know I am in good hands. I look forward to working with them again in the near future for when I want to update my app and website.

The NineHertz has designed and built a website and a custom ERP system with a cross-mobile app and a web platform for an agriculture solutions company. Currently, they’re also building an e-commerce site.
The products developed by The NineHertz are already in use by first customers, making the farmers’ work easier. The team is highly communicative and responsive to feedback, using an agile methodology to manage projects. Additionally, their work quality and resources are very consistent.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an IT business analyst at Endless Africa Ltd. We help digitalize processes in the agriculture sector.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with The NineHertz?
As there are many gaps within the agriculture value chain in Africa, we are trying to solve the challenges in the production of agricultural and dairy products. To solve these challenges, we needed to create solutions for data and process management, as well as to link farmers with buyers.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The NineHertz has helped us with three development projects. Initially, we worked with them to rebuild our website from scratch. For this project, we focused on the site’s look and feel, but we also requested a traffic tracking functionality. As for the technology stack, they used PHP to code the site and MySQL for the database.
Since then, The NineHertz has been helping us develop two custom software products. One of these products is an ERP system called iFarm that targets the agriculture sector. This product has an iOS and Android mobile app that helps farmers aggregate farm production data into the market.
The data is synced with a web-based platform that The NineHertz has also developed for us. This platform allows users to source farm products and purchase them directly from farmers through an incorporated payment processing system. Currently, they’re also developing an e-commerce platform to connect farmers and buyers.
In general terms, they’ve provided us with design, mobile development, web development, and QA services for our three projects. For every project, we first conceptualize the products in-house and then outsource those services to The NineHertz.
What is the team composition?
The NineHertz assigns resources to the projects depending on the needs. Currently, we work with five people — a designer and four developers. The least number of people we’ve worked with is three — two developers and a designer. However, their team has increased up to six resources for important workloads.
How did you come to work with The NineHertz?
They were referred to us by one of our business partners.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $500,000–$1 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since November 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of The NineHertz’s work is good. A couple of cooperatives are already using our platform to source farm products and pay the farmers. Our customers are happy with the solutions we’ve launched, which have made their work easier. Although we haven’t launched the e-commerce platform yet, we’re sure that it will have a huge impact on helping link farmers and buyers.
How did The NineHertz perform from a project management standpoint?
We manage projects using an agile methodology, so our communication is very important. We have daily scrum meetings to discuss milestones and important issues that we need to address. Additionally, we incorporate our client's feedback on those meetings to address required changes. The NineHertz is very responsive to our requests, and we have Skype calls when needed.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The NineHertz’s quality of work and resources are very consistent, which we really appreciate. The developers we work with don’t change, so they keep a great continuity of what they do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’re happy with the services they’re providing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Keep constant communication with them to ensure everything is on track. Communication is key in getting the best out of The NineHertz’s team.
