What was the scope of their involvement?

We had an initial phone call with Nighthouse LLC, during which they outlined the scope of work and gave us a written estimate. After accepting it, their team proceeded with the development of our website using WordPress; we wanted a website that would educate people about our company and services. Additionally, their team helped redesign the logo of our firm.

A friend of mine recommended Nighthouse LLC to me. I also saw some of their previous work, which impressed me.

We worked together on this project from July 2020–August 2022.

I asked various colleagues to take a look at our new website, which they all thought was impressive.

They managed the project really well. We communicated with them via email, text, and phone calls.

I’m the CEO of a coffee and bubble tea shop called Bubbe&Brew. We’re located in the southern part of Chicago, and we plan to open in about a month.

We wanted to create a logo for our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nighthouse LLC helped us design our logo from scratch. Initially, they talked to us in person, asking about what our vision was for the shop. They also visited the site location itself to see what kind of design would look good with the neighborhood. After that, we worked together on setting the theme, shared different ideas, exchanged feedback, and eventually came up with the final design.

We worked with two people from their side: Mikey (Managing Director) and Ty (Head of Design).

We found them through a Google search.

We spent $1,000.

We worked together on this project from June–July 2022.

They provided everything that we needed. The quality of their outputs was good, too.

We communicated mainly through phone and email, and they always responded to us immediately.

Their customer service was phenomenal, and they had a very experienced design team.

I am the founder and owner of KAPromotions, in North Carolina. We are a promotional products company specializing in school spirit wear, corporate and conference gifts/give aways, and wedding accompaniments.

I hired Nighthouse to design a website for my company that would set us apart from other similar companies.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was recommended to Nighthouse by a friend who had used them for her companies website design. Based off her rave review, that was how I decided to hire them.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

With the large number of promotional product companies out there, I wanted a website that was different than the standard sites that you see when searching for promotional products. Most of my competitors use the same standard layout/server to design their websites. Those websites can be hard to navigate, and give customers so much to look at that it can be hard to find what they are looking for.

I wanted a website that was easy to navigate, and would allow my customers to get the individualized attention they deserve. We communicated through zoom meetings to discuss the details of what I wanted for the website.

I worked with two members of their team in web design.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website final design is exactly what I had hoped for. They were able to incorporate all of my ideas into an easy-to-navigate page.

The team members were extremely easy to communicate with, and were very quick with responses to any questions I had.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their wide range of knowledge on utilizing different platforms to help me accomplish all I needed on my website was extremely helpful.

Since partnering with Nighthouse LLC, we’ve seen an increase in people buying tickets for our festivals through our website and an improvement in the platform’s average time and engagement.

The team consistently meets our deadlines and stays on budget, so they’ve been really great from a project management standpoint.

I'm the CTO of the industry's leading tour management software platform.

For what projects/services did your company hire Nighthouse LLC?

We've always been a DIY house when it comes to design, and have noticed that as our projects are expanding, so is the diversity of our look and feel - which is not a good thing. I know the people behind Nighthouse and know their level of quality and thoughtfulness to their work, so hiring them was really a no-brainer.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

After giving them an initial review with a basic design request, my operations team was blown away by the quality and creativity on display in only a week's time. Nighthouse delivers above and beyond the asking quality and is absolutely transparent in expectations and communication.

As our services expand to new client applications, we've hired Nighthouse on to be our in-house designers. Starting with a venue manager web application, we're setting them loose on creating the standard of excellence for our company's user experience.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Creation of a design standard, an eye for responsive designs, and the completeness of the deliverable were all hallmarks of the work highlighted by Nighthouse.

100%. Complete transparency, a great ability to understand the scope of the work, and a willingness to walk through the details answering any questions we've had.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of their work is impressive.

Some of the designs looked strange depending on several different hardware devices, but they were willing to correct for that.

I am the founder and CEO of Ugly Nood company which owns a gluten free fresh pasta food truck called Ugly Noodle and also run a non profit focused on growing allergen free food for Chicago food desert neighborhoods.

For what projects/services did your company hire Nighthouse LLC, and what were your goals?

Our company was started in 2020 and we needed an e-commerce platform and website built. Our goals were a fully functional online store, blog, recipe sharing page, membership functionality, and online ordering for our food truck. We also built in a donation portal for our non profit activities.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I’ve worked in the past with Tyler, the co-founder, and love his unique mix of artistic and technical abilities. He is able to take an idea and make it come to life, usually better than I even hoped for!

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kick off meeting to discuss a scope of all the site pages. I provided some mock ups of general art direction, the branding guide and all the content for each page. Tyler built a few pages to start and we had several follow up calls to review functionalities, the aesthetic and overall UI of the site. Tyler delivered each stage of the project on time and went above and beyond my expectations of UI. We used elementor, woo-commerce and Adobe Creative Suite to build our website.

I worked directly with Tyler on this project, he is the co-founder and a web developer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our website is not live yet because we are still ramping up to our food truck launch. We show the site regularly at investor meetings and other collaborations and we get tons of positive feedback about how professional and cool the UX/UI is for our site. We can’t wait to have them make it live!

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Very easy to schedule follow ups and almost always pick up the phone right away. I enjoy their laid back approach to a complex project while still delivering amazing work on time. They did not disappoint!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They made us feel like there were no “dumb” questions which made the entire process so easy. They have the very rare combination of technical skills and artistic ability, when you describe what you want they will deliver something beyond your expectations!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They made this project very easy. I wouldn’t be able to point to any challenges experienced throughout the process.
