The scope focuses on building a streamlined and automated guest verification system for Revarity by integrating Stripe Identity with Guesty. The workflow is designed to run end to end, where each reservation triggers a verification session, sends a unique link to the guest, and updates their status in real time through webhooks. A properties module ensures that only approved listings are processed, keeping the system controlled and scalable. Once verified, guests are automatically sent check-in details, while any failed or unverified cases are flagged for manual review. The addition of a centralized dashboard allows for clear tracking of all reservations and verification statuses, and the inclusion of documentation ensures the system is easy to manage and expand over time.

I’m the COO of Revarity, a short-term rental management company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Next Level Software?

We needed help building a background check system that integrated with our internal programs, including Guesty (property management software) and Discord. The system needed to take all the information from Guesty, build it out within the background check system for our clients, and automate the entire process.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Next Level Software developed a background check system for us. The team worked on the following tasks:
- Stripe identity setup: create verification sessions per reservation, store links, and match guest data
- Guesty integration: detect new reservations (API/webhooks), push verification status back into Guesty, and trigger check-in only after approval
- Workflow automation: booking → Stripe session → guest gets link → webhooks update status
- Check-in logic: verified = auto send check-in/lock code, failed = notify team for manual review
- Dashboard/Airtable: track guest name, property, date, link, and status
- Documentation: system overview + how to update/add properties

Next Level Software also added a properties section to allow only selected properties and reservations for those properties to come into our system. The team added a property owner email field and sent an email notification when verification was completed to the property owner and our team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Next Level Software's background check system automated our whole backend, allowing us to make money per background check and save money on each background check. The system saved us a few hours a day because we didn't need to go in and manually adjust anything. We processed approximately 50 background checks per month using the new system.

How did Next Level Software perform from a project management standpoint?

Next Level Software was ahead of schedule. The team underpromised and overdelivered. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

The project achieved 100% of its milestone deliveries on time, successfully building a fully functional Android and iOS e-commerce infrastructure within the agreed budget. During the final testing phase, the application demonstrated zero critical logic errors in complex areas like dynamic variant management and shopping cart flows. Additionally, the integrated regional SMS APIs achieved a 100% successful connection and response rate during system simulation test

Are there any areas for improvement or something Next Level Software could have done differently?

Everything was handled with great professionalism, so there were no major issues. However, as a constructive area for improvement, they could focus more on understanding the commercial and business-logic side of the systems during the initial planning phase. Aligning the technical architecture with the strategic business objectives right from the start could make the process even more seamless. That being said, their agility and openness to feedback completely made up for it, and it did not affect the project's overall success
