NEV was a vital partner throughout the whole production process. They met with us several times for preproduction to support our messaging goals, provide script guidance, and ideas for how to best to execute our communications goals through video. During the shoots they always arrived early to set up. Lighting, sound and background were always immaculate 

They provided excellent feedback for our leaders that were being interviewed or speaking with a teleprompter. This resulted in natural delivery of the messages and a great experience for our leaders. Footage was already provided very quickly after a shoot and on time. NEV is very communicative answering any and all questions we have as well as adjust schedules based on availability for shoots. They were also able to accomodate a very important all day shoot last minute.

We created a battery energy storage system that’s a new product, and we needed to create a certification course for our installers base to get certified on how to install this new system. We contacted New Evolution Video to produce the certification course videos.

What was the scope of their involvement?

New Evolution Video has produced a certification course video for our staff, as well as a promotional video for our social media. New Evolution Video has managed the creative direction of the videos, and I created the certification video’s script. New Evolution Video has filmed and created animations for the end video. They also managed postproduction. 

The certification video is posted on our proprietary platform, where our staff can log in and complete the certification. After they complete the certification, they can start using this new battery system.

We’ve worked with six teammates from New Evolution Video, including a director, a video editor, and a production crew of three people. Richard (President) was overseeing all the project. 

How did you come to work with New Evolution Video?

Our company’s head of channel marketing had previously worked with New Evolution Video at another company. We interviewed several other video production companies, and all of them were above our budget, except for New Evolution Video.

We've invested over $50,000 with New Evolution Video. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with New Evolution Video in November 2022 and continue to collaborate. We plan to launch new products and work with them again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

New Evolution Video has listened to our requirements and delivered exactly what we needed. I’m extremely impressed with their work, and the finished video looks amazing. Our sales team is excited — technical certifications don’t usually excite our staff. 

Moreover, New Evolution Video’s staff is professional and courteous. The video editing process has been great, and we’ve seen improvements as the process went on. 

How did New Evolution Video perform from a project management standpoint?

Initially, we had a tight deadline, and New Evolution Video has completed the work ahead of schedule. We put a lot of trust in New Evolution Video, and they’ve come through to save us. 

We scheduled regular meetings, New Evolution Video stays on budget, and we have regularly scheduled meetings through Microsoft Teams. New Evolution Video keeps their calendar open and helps us manage the project. We use Google Drive to collaborate.

I’m most impressed with the final video — it’s great.

I have worked with some of the best production companies in the world and knew what I wanted in a business partner, where we could create custom content that delivered the right brand voice and production value, at a price that my budget can afford.

In every situation we conduct a creative brief, and from there they come back with a budget and then once approved, they deliver a treatment and script. We conduct the filming, and then in post production they make it very easy to provide comments and make adjustments if needed.

We worked with both Richard for the Society DUCHATEAU videos and Corey for the brand videos. Both are a delight to work with. So professional, smart, and really deliver above expectations.

Crosspoint was hired to shoot videos for LivaNova at CREF 2022 in San Diego. We needed to source local talent for video crew positions.

Richard at New Evolution was referred to me by a Denver colleague that recently moved to San Diego.

1. Shoot was a product reveal event at the conference. Live audience was 150-200 people. 20 camera shoot, capturing sound from the house PA.
2. Shoot was audience reaction interviews immediately after the product reveal. We set up a 'confessional" in the back of the presentation room with portable panel lighting and a fixed boom.
3. Shoot  was an on-hands demo with the client and first-in-line customers. Documentary style.
4. Shoot  was a seated interview with a Key Opinion Leader on the subject of the new product and the advances in technology that the new platform brings to the field.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

New Evolution provided 2 crew members: Markus, a sound operator with boom and field recorder, and Adam, a PA/grip with light stands, c-stands and sand bags.

Their team was punctual, professional, and very helpful throughout our 2 shoot days.

The electronic production estimates and invoices were a fast and easy way to handle the 'paperwork'.

I’m an officer for a university police department; we're in charge of providing police services to the university campus. I manage all our external communications, including the website and social media, and I’m responsible for creating video content.

What challenge were you trying to address with New Evolution Video?

The university recently built a new stadium which falls within our jurisdiction, and we wanted to create a training video for our special event officers who come on part-time. We wanted the video to highlight our police and enforcement posture and expectations. Our goal was to show the video to part-time special event officers before each shift as a reminder of our practices.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially engaged the New Evolution Video team to film an active shooter response training video for the campus. We've also worked with them on a recruitment promotional video. They’ve created a video for our special event officers for our most recent project. 

To start, I met with my team to identify the main points for the video and get a feel for the script. After we mapped out the script internally, we engaged New Evolution Video to help with the video recording and production piece. We shared background information about the video and our goals and provided them with the script and a list of B-roll ideas. Then, we started the planning phase, which included casting the spokespeople for each area, identifying locations, and scheduling shoots. 

New Evolution provided the equipment and filmed the video on campus over two days; I was in charge of booking the locations. After they finished filming, we reviewed the script together to map out the editing process. They took care of all the video editing and audio mixing. Then, the team provided a rough cut, which we provided feedback for. Once we’d gone through a few rounds of feedback, they delivered the final video. The final deliverable was an instructional video providing information about our police department and our expectations.

I worked with a total of three people from New Evolution Video. Two of them were videographers, and the other one was the director.

We’ve worked with New Evolution Video on multiple projects. For this project, we worked together from July–September 2022.

I have nothing but positive feedback; New Evolution Video captured exactly what we wanted, and we’re pleased with the quality of the final video. The video's professional style impressed our stakeholders and executive administrators. 

How did New Evolution Video perform from a project management standpoint?

New Evolution Video managed the project well. They were very professional, communicative, and easy to work with. Everyone had great ideas when it came to producing the overall vision. They responded quickly whenever I needed assistance with something or had an edit.

We held a planning meeting before heading into production and stuck to the agenda pretty well. They respected our deadlines and worked quickly to deliver the project on time. We communicated via email and held virtual meetings via Google Meet. They provided the rough cut of the video through Vimeo, which allowed us to make comments and share feedback. Working with them was a pleasure, and we look forward to engaging them further.

New Evolution Video’s biggest strength is their quick turnaround time and response time. They’re also really good at interpreting our vision to give us what we need. We know we can rely on them to get things done in a pinch, which has been helpful.

When I spoke with Richard on the phone for the first time, he was so easy to talk to and seemed to completely understand the outcome that I was aiming for. His knowledge of filming from pre and post production equipment gave me comfort.

There were many parts to the process from the initial meeting with the amazing crew to the final edits where I was listened to, heard and respected. Everything was so professional and I am so happy I got to be a part of the process in all the steps that count.

I worked with Markus (Director and camera) and Anuj (Sound and B-roll.) They we completely respectful and multi talented. They managed to be almost invisible during the event yet they were also able to elicit the most comprehensive testimonial and reviews from many of the event attendees. Once the vision of a "Man on The Street" video was approved and N.E.V. was brought in, our teams collaborated on building the script, choosing the location and the talent.

After a full day of filming, the footage was edited quickly and sent over for approval. We received four videos and a B-Roll cutdown that were dynamite. The editor we worked with understood key words that were important to our brand and built three short videos around those concepts.

The videos have and continue to achieve the highest impressions on our social channels. We have also just launched a national television commercial using the footage created by New Evolution.

They understood and respected our timeline. The editor was quick to make any edits that our team requested. We were pleased with the entire experience.

The final product was stunning. We could not have been happier with the outcome. Overall we had a positive experience with this team and would absolutely use them again in the future.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We created the video in 2020 and understand COVID restraints. The NEV team was very respectful and professional with COVID restrictions. What we would have liked to have seen n advance was a better idea of roles during filming.

Additional team members from our group had to stay on sight and assist production with gathering individuals to participate. While we lacked the ability to oversee certain parts of filming, ultimately we were pleased with the outcome of the story telling and final product.

The colleague video spoke to the incredible resilience and strength we have seen our team display as they have worked together, adjusted to changes, balanced the unbelievable stress of work and life, and are truly the best in the business.

New Evolution helped us refine our scripts, helped our most authentic and genuine self shine through these stories, and infuse the honest emotion of it all. They did an incredible job working closely with us and provide creative direction to bring our vision to life.

First, internally we worked with our leadership and featured colleagues to compile their thoughts and stories into an outline of the message we wanted to tell, and New Evolution made adjustments to our scripts to ensure the wording felt strong and true. On set, they worked closely with our "talent" and Director of Communications to bring out their most authentic self while maintaining a certain level of artistic storytelling.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have used the two videos in a couple of ways so far, one being in our digital holiday message to clients. We have received amazing feedback from clients saying how much they loved the message, prompting our sales teams to thank our marketing department for the hard work.

We have also shared one of the videos so far on social media, and played them at an internal colleague drive-in holiday movie. So many people have said it moved them and have shared it on social media, saying they are so proud to work for our company. Even a competitor commented on the video, saying "Classy and compassionate- nicely done".

New Evolution is on TOP of it. They are responsive, clear in their communication and ideas, and incredibly enthusiastic about our ideas which makes our goals feel validated and exciting.
