Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 10 million people who take injustice personally. We are campaigning for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all. I am the coordinator of Human Rights Education team at Amnesty International in Czech Republic.

For what projects/services did your company hire NETVOR, and what were your goals?

We needed an attractive online tool for young people who got in touch with Amnesty to be able to get involved or help in specific cases of unjustice. We also sought to have a follow-up online tool after an educational workshop with young people.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

NETVOR convinced us that our goal was as important to them as it was to us. That they wanted to bring new people to sign petitions for a good cause and join Amnesty. And equally important was that they offered their services pro bono.

We could use the older idea of the 3 minuty staci (3 minutes is enough) campaign and website and taken it further. Both in terms of creativity and new look. I appreciate that they came up with their own ideas and solutions and were patient with several iterations we exchanged.

I was in direct touch with one employee and other 2 or 3 where part of the team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Not at this moment, any measurable results will be clearer after the website will be tested with our target groups.

We had e-mail communication and regulat statuses and calls (googlemeet, Zoom), which was completely appropriate for this kind and scale of collaboration.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their approach, which was friendly and balanced in keeping the assignment to one side. And coming up with their own ideas and improvements on the other. liked that although the collaboration was pro bono for us, it didn't show in the quality of the communication or the outcome.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Probably not, nothing important I can think of.

ELEARN.AERO is a fully-digital learning management system (LMS) for flight crew, cabin crew and other aviation personnel. I’m a COO responsible for unique educational content, customer relationships and I oversee operations regarding the product development on a daily basis.

We approached NETVOR in 2015 with a rough idea about a custom-made LMS that would set a new standard in the industry of aviation personnel education.

How did you select NETVOR and what were the deciding factors?

We were introduced to NETVOR on a call via our common business partner. Guys made a solid research of the specification and got back to us with a proposal and questions. We agreed on terms and conditions after a short discussion.

We had quite clear expectations about the MVP. Design was delivered by another agency. The NETVOR team focused solely on the coding and development of the Landing page, the Educational Platform and also on the Administration, where all educational content is being created and maintained.

About seven people. A Project Manager, who was the single point of contact for us, then there were:

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Sure. The main deliverables were a responsive web application running smoothly on smartphones, tablets and desktops and then a native mobile application for iPad, that introduced several new features like off-line learning, Facial Recognition for Final Tests.

The communication has always been great. We communicated mainly over email as Slack hasn’t been so popular those days.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Although there were some small hurdles on the way, the direct communication with one of the founders has always been great. They are always willing to help and solve our troubles with onboarding customers, be it over email with short reaction times or lately via WhatsApp.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think we should have avoided several delays during our cooperation. So keeping up to deadlines could be an area for improvement.

I'm COO of creative digital agency Story TLRS - we are part of the Near & Dear group. Our focus is on digital marketing and story telling and we provide our clients with a wide range of services, from a new identity or product through a website to social networks.

Our clients goal was to start a new website app for selling his sports photos primarily in Scandinavia. We had to help him with the concept of this new photo bank and then create the whole brand and website.

SOLUTION

How did you select NETVOR and what were the deciding factors?

We knew that our development team wasn't strong enough to develop the whole app on their own in given time, so we were looking for some good experienced partner.

Deciding factors were team experienced in technologies that our solution was designed (for example PHP Symfony on backend) in and flexible enough so they could start right away and vary the amount of people and hours as we needed.

When we started to cooperate with NETVOR, we had already done a lot of things with our client. From the concept and branding to the wireframes and design. Our weakness was in the specification of the scope of the technical solution, that was one of many challenges for NETVOR.

The custom solution was based on PHP Symfony framework + VUE JS and the rest of the frontend (CSS, JS, HTML). The website had to be ready for the payments, invoicing and uploading, downloading viewing a lot of high res photos on desktop and mobile devices.

Their project manager was the main contact for us and to be honest I can't even remember how many developers was there - I do believe this is a big plus because their project manager took care of all the briefing, tasking and supervision of his team.

Client was happy, that was the main thing, with NETVOR we have manage to launch the solution on time and it was working!

We had statuses multiple times each week (as the situation required). The tools were - Slack, email and phone. Developers worked in GitLab.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a good company culture, similar to ours so we speak the same "language". We've managed to speak about problems and find the solution together. It is great to find such a partner.

There were some minor bugs during the launch but it is hard to point fingers, there were also some issues on our side.

As a Digital marketing specialist I was responsible for implementation and execution of all digital marketing activities across all brands on the Czech market.

Our website was created in 2012 and managed by multiple agencies and IT companies throughout this period of time. It became outdated - in terms of technical solution, security, graphic design and user friendliness. The goal was to develop a new tailor-made website, which would meet high technical requirements of the company and offer up-to-date customer experience and exquisite design.

In the tender we were looking not just for a provider, but also for a partner. We took into consideration not only experience, capabilities, capacities and pricing, but also NETVOR's way of communication and trustworthiness, which were the deciding factors.

After a complex introduction meeting there were several sessions designed to understand our requirements, ideas, and customers needs, which resulted into proposal of technical solution and design. On regular statuses NETVOR came with many ideas how to solve or even improve each part of the project, all the details were discussed and deadlines set.

Unfortunately not. After the launch of the website the coronavirus outbreak affected its performance.

We have been contact with NETVOR before and had positive feedback from some of their other clients.

We've decided the project into several steps, staring with working on the communication architecture, following with wireframe prototypes, UI mockups and finally production development and roll out.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The final website met our expectations, we have been able to collect multiple viable leads from the site which is not common in our area of expertise.

We have been able to set up a very effective and open communication through Slack. We have occasionally confirmed some key information in emails. We have had a clear road map that was regularly updated to reflect the changes in the project. The important final release date was met.

Netvor has shown immense effort to help us meet a very challenging deadline to put the website into production before our important press conference. They have shown great personal compassion with our problems.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This has been a very large project for us and as always problems have arisen but Netvor handled them gracefully and to our full satisfaction.

I'm responsible for the technical aspects of a telecommunication company based in Prague that is providing internet and telecommunication services to a wide range of customers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire NETVOR?

For most of the internal processes we used old ways how to manage our work (f.e. MS Access or MS Excel) and at some point it was unsustainable. So we decided to transfer all these processes to digital in order to help our company to grow. And because we didn't have any internal developers, we decided to hire NETVOR.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to have all internal processes under control, so we can manage them better. It was also important for our potential growth to easily extend our customers base.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We already had an experience with NETVOR, because they provided us several websites for our portfolio companies. Because we were satisfied with their work, it was a logical solution to also hire them for our internal system.

Once we started to talk with NETVOR about our internal system, we had a series of meetings to describe them our idea, how to digitalise our internal processes. Then we prioritize functionalities and NETVOR prepared a project scope. Because the functionalities were really complex, we always started before development of each one, with a several workshops. After we had a really detailed description of the functionalities, NETVOR started with the development. Once the development was finished we had enough time to test the functionalities before they were implemented to the production. By this way we collaborate till now.

What was the team composition?

There is always one project manager and at least one full stack developer dedicated to us. And sometimes we also need a designer, tester or product manager - depending on the functionality we wanted to develop.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We were able to digitalise our internal process and that was a long and not easy process. Thanks to NETVOR, we were able to do it continuously over the years, so now we have a really complex internal system that helps us in everyday work.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We are in touch directly with developers over email, phone or JIRA. It help us to really quickly resolve bugs or to make small improvements.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We have been with NETVOR for more than five years, and they are still our reliable partner. I really like their communication and the way they work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Once the development took longer than it was estimated, but then it was clearly communicated to us, what was the issue and why it happened. After that they always asked more in detail, so they have enough information to give us more precise estimation.

They were recommended by trusted advisor. We have worked with them before and have had nothing but great experiences.

We provided Sketch design files for each page, and they coded up the websites in the correct languages, made them responsive and had them done very quickly.

Because this was a smaller project there was only 3 people involved. I felt that my needs were taken seriously and service was prompt.

The client has approved all the work, and is very satisfied with the work done.

How did you select this vendor?

NETVOR was recommended to us. We received price offers from 2 other vendors and decided to work with NETVOR due to their customer friendly approach and good reference. We were very satisfied with the style of communication of NETVOR´s CEO Michal Voráč who was the main reason to work with NETVOR.

The colaboration with NETVOR has had a crucial impact to our business, since the ROLETIK web-based platform developed by NETVOR is company´s main product and the reason why the company was established. 

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The Project Manager (Pavel Samčenko) handled the project and colaboration between NETVOR and ROLETIK with very professional approach.

Pavel was involved in the production process from the very begining and was a part of a team which specified the product. Pavel was a crucial part of the project and without his leading role the product would not have been so technicaly developed and amazing! 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We really enjoyed the collaboration with NETVOR. They have an amazing customer approach. I can only recommend.

Sometimes the internal communication within the NETVOR team was little bit out of sync.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the founder and CEO of Bric, a project planning and contracting software company based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with NETVOR?

We had a core team to develop our application, but we didn't have the experience or the resources to develop a Chrome extension. We also needed help understanding what was possible for our project roadmap.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first approached NETVOR with a need to develop integrations and pull data from other systems. Instead of building multiple extensions, they recommended that we create a Chrome extension that worked across multiple integrations. Acting as business and technical advisor throughout the project, NETVOR developed the extension.

What is the team composition?

Our primary point of contact was their CEO, but they did have a team of developers working remotely.

How did you come to work with NETVOR?

We connected with them on social media and over time we realized we could work very well together. We set up some meetings and hired them for our project.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested $10,000 in the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in February 2018 and finished the project in April 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There were no major bugs and we now have a new approach to integrations that we didn't have before. We no longer must spend more time and money making multiple apps. The extension allows us to easily support new launches and the quality of the code is excellent.

How did NETVOR perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very careful and deliberate with making commitments. NETVOR was highly responsive, communicative, and we talked several times a week. Their team was excellent at managing a very complex project.

We communicated with them using Slack, Facebook Messenger, email, and managed the code through GitHub. They were very up to date on DevOps and the industry standards for development. They worked U.S. business hours from the Czech Republic and were digital natives—nothing was lost during our conversations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Overseas teams we worked with in the past always focused too much on cost. NETVOR, in comparison highly valued code quality and business strategy. Their team focuses on innovation, creativity, and creating a quality product. NETVOR was outstanding in helping refine and validate our vision.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve shared more of their visual designs to make it easier for inexperienced developers. However, they were very clear with the specs and exactly what was available. It would have been helpful, but it wasn’t required.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to understand exactly what you want to build first and then collaborate with the NETVOR team to refine that initial vision. Good software development happens through iterations and communication.
