We have a weekly meeting to discuss status, and keep in contact via slack, email, and comments on Google docs outside of our weekly meeting. The team has always been quick to reply and resolve any issues.

We have a very technical product that can be difficult to write about. We had a bit of a learning curve in the beginning helping the writers understand the product and our language to produce quality (and accurate) content.

They are very accomplished writers as well on blog posts. And right now they are building around 25 backlinks a month for us.

They are honestly doing amazing! They have brought in so many leads we are having trouble keeping up. Which is a great problem to have. Before hiring, we rarely ever received leads that were not referrals. NOW almost all of our leads are driven from PPC or SEO which is terrific!

Because ours was a fairly short-term engagement, our expectations were limited. However, we've already seen notable improvements in all the major metrics we track - overall traffic, traffic to key pages, conversions, sessions, users, and YOY organic traffic. It's been about two months post-engagement, and we've had more leads this month so far than ever before.

They don't overpromise and under-deliver, and they don't just concentrate on easy-to-produce content. They’re our digital marketing partner. We work together to drive new traffic, improve our conversion rate, and engage our existing pool of leads that have not converted yet.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’re currently working with Neon Ambition on SEO, search engine marketing, and content marketing campaigns. The team promotes our campaigns on social media as well as on our website. We’re also working on an email campaign. 

Together, we did a persona exercise, where we identified our target audience, which is how Neon Ambition created a series of recommendations for our campaigns. They’ve done third-party outreach, content writing, and execution plans. 

What is the team composition?

We work with Jenni (Account Services Director), who’s our primary contact. We’re also working with one person on the content marketing campaign, as well as one contact on the SEO side. We have two contacts for the paid search aspect of our engagement, adn a writer who creates blog and website content for us.

How did you come to work with Neon Ambition?

I was researching SEO agencies online, and was impressed with Neon Ambition because they themselves were performing well in terms of SEO. In our first meeting with them, the owner was very interested in understanding our business goals and how they would fit into them. Their focus was on how to improve our lead flow and revenue. We had a strong alignment of interests. In addition, they were local to us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $145,000 over the course of about 18 months.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since March 2018. We worked with them for a year, before partnering with another company. We returned to Neon Ambition earlier this year primarily on the strength of their SEO capabilities.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our primary metric is lead flow and conversion. We have some interim measures as well, including organic and paid traffic, rankings, and local page performance. We haven’t yet seen the impact of the content marketing campaign, which we’re about to launch.

How did Neon Ambition perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re prompt with meeting deadlines. The project ended up taking longer than expected, because there have been some complexities in identifying the right persona, but overall, they 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their account management is really strong. Jenni is excellent at coordinating all the moving pieces. The quality of Neon Ambition’s account management speaks to their partnership and the effort they put into maintaining a strong and successful partnership. 

We’re also impressed with their skill level. Neon Ambition are subject matter experts in all their roles. That’s especially true on the SEO side; we haven’t gotten results back from the content marketing campaign, but it looks good so far.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our paid search campaign has been an area for improvement in our engagement. We’ve made good progress, but some of those have come for our account manager, who’s gone above and beyond, rather than the paid search team. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ask questions, and make sure you understand the strategies behind their recommendations. They’re always able to come up with an answer. Neon Ambition always steps up to the plate.
