We hired Codebay to develop a system that manages the resources of our committees, we seek to make our process more efficient and improve the quality of information and speed.

We previously worked with a system created by them, so we already knew their work. We were having different talks and we created a work plan, eventually we agreed and we started working.

The first meetings were to define the requirements of the new system and the scope. After that we began to define dates and deliverables, and graphic models of the platform.

The programming stage began one month after starting the project., we had meetings almost every day with the project leader to define in detail each aspect of the system, he gave us a results report every two weeks, with a record of failures and errors.

Today the first version of the platform has been completed, and new modules are under development.

In total we are a team of six people, one of them the project leader with whom we constantly communicate, one person for testing the functionalities and the rest are programmers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We created the MVP of the project in a short time, from there we have been creating new functions based on what we have been finding, this new system has facilitated how the committees communicate with each other and with other areas of the company.

Reports and constant communication, the administration has been positive and fluid because almost every day we have meetings. Documentation has also been key to presenting processes to other instances.

Their level of professionalism and knowledge. The fact that they already work in the medical industry is a very big plus.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At the beginning of the project the progress was slow, but speed increased as we adapted.

We plan and define the architecture, design and development of a new network of the different divisions of the company. Codebay advised us from the first moment, until the launch of the first versions of the platforms. Currently Codebay supports our systems.

The company was founded in 2016 with the merger of two other companies, one of the old companies previously worked with Codebay.

We mainly use PHP, VueJS and MySQL for development, which is hosted on AWS. While development lasted we had meetings every two weeks to see progress, in general there were not many adjustments to the initial project. The team worked remotely, we communicated with Miguel, who was a delivery director and was involved in the project.

At first it wa only an architect and a scrum master, later a designer and two programmers joined the project.

The company was relatively new when the project started, so having a measurement is difficult. However, the platforms have helped us a lot to bring in new clients, as well as orient current customers with their orders.

We used email to send files and make requests, although we mainly talked and saw progress in face-to-face meetings.

Despite the fact that the project has concluded and now they only support us with basic maintenance, the attention and quality they give continue to be excellent.

Nothing.

The owners of the ranch knew one of the managers of the company, who showed us what they were doing and eventually led our project.

At first Daniel came to the ranch to meet with the owners so that they would explain everything they wanted to him. Then we define a schedule and begin to deliver information. When they started to deliver the first parts, we were testing the system and it worked well.

In addition to Daniel who led the project, we have two designers, a programmer and someone who did tests.

The new website has brought higher sales, as customers can see the cattle in detail before seeing it in person. The process has been improved.

At all times we had communication with Daniel, usually they were direct messages. I rarely spoke to the programmers.

They knew about our industry. They were professionals and they worked very well.

In some parts there were somewhat long delivery periods, but this was due to constant adjustments from the owners.

A member of their team, Luis, was in charge of the project, we had several meetings to define the content and structure of the first sites. Later, he presented us graphic proposals and based on this, they began to develop. During development there were adjustments.

I’m the general manager of a manufacturing company. We manufacture covers for potable water and sewer systems.

We needed help with developing a web app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codebay developed a web app for us. Initially, we got together with them and explained our needs, and they provided us with different proposals for a solution. Once we approved one of the proposals, they started the development.

This app is a portal that allows our clients to add and download commercial information, including invoices, purchase orders, payment vouchers, and more.

What was the team composition? 

We worked directly with three people from Codebay, including Alberto (CEO), who was in charge of the project. Aside from them, I assume that more people were involved and collaborated in the project.

How did you come to work with Codebay?

I took a project incubation training program at a local University. I met Alberto there, and when this project came up, I contacted him to talk about it. This project seemed like a good fit for both of us.

How much have you invested in them? 

We spent around $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started this project around January 2018, and the app was launched in January 2019. Currently, they continue making updates and providing maintenance services for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to this web app, 90% of our current clients have found us online, and the services we offer on our platform are very attractive to them. They’ve also pointed out how easy to use and efficient our site is.

How did Codebay perform from a project management standpoint?

Codebay was very professional and dedicated. We used WhatsApp and email to communicate, and we also had a couple of Zoom calls and in-person meetings as needed.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

Codebay was great at their job, and they demonstrated vast experience, which was impressive. To this date, they’re very attentive, kind, and always available, and whenever we have any requests or questions, they solve them right away.

Are there any areas they could improve? 

I don’t have any constructive feedback to share. I know that the project took a long time to be finished, but it was a very complex development, so I don’t know if it would have been possible to achieve something like that in a shorter period of time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers? 

Be very detailed about your requirements and provide Codebay with all of the necessary information so that they can develop the project in a more efficient and effective manner.

Codebay has developed a clinical trial management platform through Azure. Security is a crucial component for us, so we've asked them to implement practices that protect the integrity of the system. Throughout the process, we've conducted weekly reviews of our progress. 

The Codebay team has also contributed to the design of the platform through their web designers. We collaborate closely around this component by looking for any opportunities and challenges that might come up during the project.

We work with around 15 people from their team, including a project manager, a designer, and engineers.

We worked with Codebay before on another project, and that was why we picked them for this project.

We’ve spent around $150,000.

We started working with them in February 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

I’m satisfied with Codebay’s work. If we encounter a problematic situation, they always find a way to provide good service.

Codebay always responds quickly every time I have a question. To communicate, we use Skype.

The Codebay resources are highly creative.

Some people on their team don’t speak English well. While that’s not a real problem for us because some people in our team also speak other languages, there’s still some room for improvement in terms of communication.

Know that Codebay’s prices are reasonable and their services are great. They have a creative team that responds quickly. As a result, trust that they know how to solve your problems.

We started looking for a company that would join the project, Codebay's proposal was the most appropriate to what we were looking for.

During the first meetings we began to create a work plan and establish the forms of communication; also, we set up the initial infrastructure and define deliverables. The project consists of different stages which consider the creation of certain modules, made mainly for mobile.

We work with different teams at each stage, but as a basis we work with 4 programmers and a SCRUM master, later two other programmers and a QA were incorporated.

The project currently continues, at the end of each sprint we have meetings with different stakeholders, where a progress report is presented. In general, the work has been very good, it has met our expectations.

It was pretty much seamless, their team was very flexible when it comes to schedule meetings

Their integration and adaptability are impressive. They have also been very professional.

Every period of time we schedule meetings where I made comments and adjustments to the project. After all this time I think there’re very few times that we had a delay or some difficulty, in general the work has been delivered on time and with quality; also, when errors appear, they have been repaired.

We generally use emails, phone and video calls to communicate. Approximately when there is an error it does not take long to be corrected, I estimate about two or three days, but it depends on the severity.

Their commitment, dedication and knowledge are impressive. I have worked with them for many years now and I can safely say that I will continue with them for many more.

We hired Codebay to structure and migrate our systems to the cloud.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I worked with them in another company.

We started working with a cloud specialist, who reviewed our current systems and implemented a work plan to migrate to the cloud. The process did not take that long, but we had complications migrating the information as our old servers were constantly crashing due to the workload. Eventually we managed to migrate everything, and from there Codebay has provided us with maintenance services.

Two people, the cloud specialist and a DevOps engineer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yes, currently our main systems are in Azure and not in our old physical servers, which has allowed us to have greater speed and capacity, which was very effective during this pandemic.

The team came to the office several times to make backups and classify the information in the databases. Currently we register errors and issues in an internal ticket system which they take care of; also, we have direct communication with the cloud specialist.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They've shown commitment, professionalism, and tolerance to stress. There was a lot of pressure due to the manipulation of sensitive information.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We repeated some processes several times and checks were carried out very often, which led to a slight delay.

Codebay was in charge of finishing the development of our platform. Their work involved identifying technical issues, fixing bugs, and repairing coding flaws. After fixing those issues, they now continue to integrate new functionalities into the platform. The main technologies they use are Laravel and Joomla.

Comparing them with the company I had worked with before, their communications are way superior. I always know exactly what they're working on, specifically the stage of the process where they're at. In addition, they're always upfront whenever things might take longer than expected. However, for the most part, they've completed things in a timely manner or even ahead of schedule.

They have an excellent project management process, and they use Azure as their project management tool. Their project manager also follows a precise schedule. Overall, they constantly communicate with us, and they work using agile methodologies.

Their human approach and commitment have been impressive. Additionally, their openness to explain every detail of the process makes us feel reassured.
