I’m the technical director of a construction company.

What challenge were you trying to address with SC NECSYS SRL?

Our team was trying to automate a part of our cost management processes, and we were also looking for an ERP system.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’re developing a web app with NECSYS for managing our business costs. They’re building it from scratch based on our requirements, which we’ve established with them. At present, the site is undergoing maintenance testing. Other features include billing and real-time project tracking. We’re also developing other aspects of the platform.

For features and functionality, the web app is a platform where people from our organization can log in, and each person has a different set of permissions. Our costs vary per construction site location. Machines on our sites automatically send GPS data to our website, so when we add a person to a specific location, the web app automatically calculates the cost of working on that site for a day. 

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from NECSYS; two of them are programmers. We’re also developing other aspects of the platform as we improve some of its features. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on this project in May 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The web app works. I’ve verified costs for each construction site according to its GPS positioning, and everything has been on point. The GPS function effectively communicates with our platform and with our machines at the construction sites. 

Moreover, NECSYS is highly dynamic, and they can personalize their work according to our requests. In other words, the platform they created isn’t a standard app — it’s customized to our needs. Overall, they’ve successfully reached the first milestone of our project. 

How did SC NECSYS SRL perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly meetings to discuss any issues, bugs, or problems to solve. NECSYS has been good in checking our progress at every meeting. Our web app is complicated and they’re building it from scratch, but the team has been great at managing everything. We usually communicate over the phone and via emails. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

NECSYS has created a solution that meets our needs, and not many companies can develop technologies that integrate well with GPS systems. It’s also easier to communicate with them than with other companies; I can directly talk to the person doing the coding, and that’s important for me. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve had a lot of new features, and it’s sometimes difficult for them to focus on resolving issues related to those features. To be fair, we’ve requested plenty of features for them to create. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear idea of your goals. With the right information, you won’t have any problems with NECSYS. They’ll even do things for you that they’ve never done before.
