We needed help with our software’s development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

NCompas Business Solutions Inc. has designed and developed our software using Figma, Microsoft Azure, and other tools I can’t disclose. NCompas Business Solutions Inc. also offers us managed IT services remotely as part of our contract. 

Moreover, NCompas Business Solutions Inc. will work on the integration of our software for an end client. They’re also running penetration tests. 

Additionally, NCompas Business Solutions Inc. is assisting me through the SOC 2® process, a standard compliance process developed by the American Institute of CPAs, that specifies how organizations should manage customer data. This is an extensive process that few companies can perform. 

Overall, NCompas Business Solutions Inc. has learned the specific requirements of this project and is helping me with intellectual property documents and data security.

I’ve worked with seven teammates from NCompas Business Solutions Inc., including Ramana (Founder & CEO), UI/UX designers, and software engineers.

I found NCompas Business Solutions Inc. through a membership group. I posted a request about looking for a development company, and NCompas Business Solutions Inc.’s president responded to me. We went through the project's scope, then he gave me a business proposal, and I selected them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $125,000 with NCompas Business Solutions Inc. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our main success is that the platform developed by NCompas Business Solutions Inc. is running and receiving customers. NCompas Business Solutions Inc. has done a great job bringing my product to life.  

We’re still in the development process, and NCompas Business Solutions Inc. adjusts the software as needed. We do tests every day and have an engaged relationship.

How did NCompas Business Solutions Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

NCompas Business Solutions Inc. has a fantastic project management process and effective internal communication. I know which teammate from NCompas Business Solutions Inc. is in charge of each task, so I can talk directly to who I need to, and all the team is aware of what was discussed and my project’s situation.

We have close communication through Microsoft Teams, where we have regular and emergency channels. We speak probably four days a week and also use a project management platform, although I don’t recall the name.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I consider Ramana a fractional CTO of my company — he’s been a great partner. When one of my end clients needs something, NCompas Business Solutions Inc. helps me meet their requirements. They’re present at my meetings with large end clients and help me work through deals. If the end client requests a third-party analysis, they’re on the call to understand the client's needs. I consider NCompas Business Solutions Inc., part of my extended team. 

Moreover, when I was looking for a service provider, I had a hard time finding one that could execute this project. When I talked to NCompas Business Solutions Inc., they said they’d learn how to carry out this project even though they didn’t know how to at the time. We’ve learned together, and I believe it’s difficult to find a service provider that is that nimble and willing to learn and support their customers.  NCompas Business Solutions Inc. has never wavered, and as a result of being such a supportive partner, they now have a new skill set they can use with other clients. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for NCompas Business Solutions Inc. to improve. All suggestions I’ve given them, they’ve taken into consideration.

I recommend being serious if you’re considering working with NCompas Business Solutions Inc. You need to understand what you want to design before contacting NCompas Business Solutions Inc. and ensuring the project is funded.

Be ready to move forward with the project once you contact them because they’re very effective and quick. After our initial call and once I signed the proposal, our onboarding call was within the next 24 hours.

Our website was created by us(physicians) 3 years ago and needed major redesign and updates.NCompass helped us with end to end efforts in redesign and redeployment of our current webpage.

We did do various searches but one of our team members identified them and referred them.Their wholistic approach, support, prior work experience and cost-effectiveness were key deciding factors.

We had a kick off meeting to define goals,objectives and possible solutions to upgrade our webpage.Subsequently after a few meetings with the design team the new design of the webpage was determined.The teams then worked very effectively and with good communication to address each section of the webpage development and deployment sharing ideas for enhancements.Wordpress was customized for our needs and various features including forms,menus,etc.

5 personnel from the team were assigned. One project lead,2 designers and 2 full stack developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have received excellent feedback from our customers so far.The webpage traffic has increased substantially and so has the traffic to our associated channels(YouTube,Podcast..)

The communication was very open and timely.Routine meetings and adhoc meetings were setup to address various parts of the project.Email,Whatsapp,phone conversations were used to efficiently deliver on the project.

This company has an amazing team which brings in great deal of expertise. They spent time and effort in understanding our needs. The team was very flexible and efficient.

We are extremely satisfied with the work product and how effectively they worked with us.

Supply Side USA is a wholesale distributor that sells packaging supplies to retailers in the moving and storage industry, parcel industry and more. Supply Side products can be found in over 30,000 retail stores across the United States. I am the Vice President of Marketing.

We partnered with a large retailer to develop and host an ecommerce store for the packaging products that we wholesale to them. NCompas Business Solutions was instrumental in customizing a shopping cart and checkout solution for the website. Our goals of increasing online conversions were met.

Supply Side was referred to NCompas Business Solutions by a third party company and we have been happy with their services for over 5 years now.

I do not have too much to share in this area. I can tell you this web project was very critical and required a ton of work on NCompas Business Solutions' end to convert old web technology to the modern platform they made live.

I do not have an exact sales figure to share but I can tell you we experienced a significant increase in ecommerce orders after this project was complete.

Communication is key for our company. NCompas Business Solutions shares the same mentality. We are always kept in tune with the status of the work as it is happening.

They were very flexible and took an interest to understand our business needs and goals before taking on projects.

The only area of improvement I could think of would be to become an authorized partner for a key ERP software such as NetSuite or SAP..

Develop a mobile app for a frictionless parking payment system.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We researched online and talked to local incubators. Interviewed and hired. Ncompas.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of work included a proof of concept and 2 milestone deliverables for the production release of the native apps for android and iOS. The success of the project is dependent on a team that thrives on building cutting edge technology solutions, and understands that startups need nurturing, handholding and short term deliverables, with long term vision and commitments. The solution involved cutting edge technology and innovation in the parking lot spaces including geo fencing, motion tracking and use of offline and online messaging and in-app payment gateway integration.

Apple Swift, Java, integration with paypal, motion tracking native API’s and satellite based Geo fencing and tracking technologies have been used for successful delivery of this application. The project proof of concept and alpha release was completed in a year with more upgrades planned for another year especially on the iOS app. The apple and google review systems were stringent on the use of these technologies and to get the app approved and deployed was always challenging and needed highest level of coding standards with technology know-how.

Today, we have a successful alpha release version of the app in android and planning to complete the alpha release of iOS soon with opportunity to expand our solution to various other verticals.

The app is still in development. Android is done and IOs progressing.

We continuously run into unforeseen issues as this is a novel app. Ncompas took all new problems in stride and figured out how to best solve them quickly and efficiently.

No. I am happy with the relationship.
