I'm the senior digital manager of Olympia, a £1 billion regeneration project transforming the area into a vibrant creative district featuring art, culture, entertainment, offices, exhibitions, and diverse dining options.

What challenge were you trying to address with N4 Studio®?

As part of our redevelopment, we wanted to evolve from being seen primarily as an exhibition venue – or somewhere your aunt might visit – into London’s new home of culture and entertainment. Achieving that transformation meant creating a world-class digital destination and ecosystem. We needed a partner and platform capable of matching our vision and ambition while delivering a website that reflected Olympia’s future.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve asked N4 Studio® to deliver a new website that brings together the two sides of Olympia: our major redevelopment and our established events business. The site needs to showcase our new food and drink offering and entertainment spaces, remain an effective hub for incoming business, and create an engaging, customer-facing destination. It’s a hugely demanding brief because Olympia serves such varied audiences, each with very different needs.N4 Studio® has worked with us from start to finish – and their involvement continues as the website evolves. The project began with comprehensive discovery workshops to unpack our objectives, audiences, and requirements. One of N4’s greatest strengths was translating our rambling requests and partially formed ideas into clear, actionable briefs. Their experience meant they knew how to interrogate our thinking, identify what would work, and, quite often, understand what we needed better than we did ourselves.From there, N4 Studio® developed the site structure and content framework before leading the website’s design and development. They’ve also supported us with front-end copy and microcopy, the use of imagery and other brand assets, and refining our brand guidelines to ensure they’re fit for purpose across digital channels.

The measurable outcomes from this project were primarily tied to successful delivery across strategy, design, and development milestones.

N4 Studios delivered the website program on schedule and met expectations at every major phase — from initial discovery and strategic planning through high-fidelity design, Webflow development, and launch support. The project was well managed, with clear timelines, structured feedback cycles, and consistent progress against agreed deliverables.

Key indicators of success included:

• Completion of a comprehensive strategic foundation (personas, messaging framework, sitemap, and SEO recommendations) that aligned internal stakeholders and clarified our direction

While there were a couple of minor agreed delays, they were proactive in managing expectations and ensuring deliverables stayed on track. They were highly responsive to our needs, incorporated feedback efficiently, and made the overall engagement feel well organised and collaborative.

They helped us write copy for 3 of our main pages, updated our brand font to more accurately match our brand's personality, designed the framework of our website, designed the website, and brought it to life!

A completed website that was on brand and increased engagement.

Overall, I was happy with it!!!

We had a flexible timeline, and we definitely didn't make the team's jobs easy or streamlined 😆

They were incredibly flexible, giving, and responsive to our needs, and we are deeply thankful for that. Without that, we wouldn't have been able to make our brand feel so human and relatable. 

Ex: I had to recreate our entire brand strategy halfway through, and I misread our contract that specified "services" under pages they'd write copy for. (I thought it meant all services pages, but it meant our services landing page haha. Had to add in time to get that up to speed)

It's hard to predict what you'll need from everyone beforehand, but in the future I'd love a list like "have any copy updates we aren't providing to us by _____ or else... 👀" up front so I can plan & coordinate with my teams on my side.

The only other thing was that there were a few weeks we didn't hear back from the team because of vacations. It would've helped to get a heads up on that so I could've made more progress on items needed on our end. But, again, we had a flexible deadline so in the end it didn't matter too much.

At the end when we were in the final countdown, I'm pretty sure they worked non-stop to get everything done and were on top of every little request we made. That's top notch service (but I hope to not put you guys in that situation again! Haha)

I definitely want to make sure I'm more on top of things like that in future projects and that would be helpful to ID what's NOT included so I can coordinate on my end.

The overall experience with N4 Studio® was excellent, but one area that felt a bit clunky was the content creation process. After a few initial meetings, our assigned content writer seemed to disappear from the project. As a result, Flywheel had to step in and backfill several content areas we had expected to be handled by their team. A more consistent and collaborative approach to content development would have made the process even smoother.

I would have loved to have completed the site even faster. But because N4.studio is great, they are in high demand. Despite their heavy workload N4.studio still completed our project on time.

Still early stages but the traffic to website has increased gretaly and is being used by a wider audience. Genral feebak form customers and internal staff has been amazing.

Yes, N4 delivered an amazing site in a quick timeframe. I have not worked with a team so efficient and quick responding before. Any issues or challenges that were faced were met with professionalism and care to ensure they were fixed in a timely fashion. This illuminated a lot of stress as I had great trust in the team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really appreciated how the young, professional and passionate the team were. N4 Studio® had a very relaxed approach that put us at ease and resulted in an impressive outcome. The response rate did not stop post launch which has been great for any questions we have. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something N4 Studio® could have done differently?

N4 are great and it is hard to find where they should make improvements. Only area I can think of is the recording minutes on calls. There were a few discussions that left us understanding one thing and they had a different thought. Could do a follow up email after each call, noting the points and agreed upon work to be completed. This was not a major and everything worked out perfectly in the end.
