We engaged N4 to referesh our brand identify and website for our 25th anniversary. Key deliverables were inclusive of our new website built on Webflow CMS with key user interactivity and animations, synthesis and modernization of a user experience and associated copy, a new logo and brand guidelines, and supporting assets.

They helped us write copy for 3 of our main pages, updated our brand font to more accurately match our brand's personality, designed the framework of our website, designed the website, and brought it to life!

Overall, I was happy with it!!!

We had a flexible timeline, and we definitely didn't make the team's jobs easy or streamlined 😆

They were incredibly flexible, giving, and responsive to our needs, and we are deeply thankful for that. Without that, we wouldn't have been able to make our brand feel so human and relatable. 

Ex: I had to recreate our entire brand strategy halfway through, and I misread our contract that specified "services" under pages they'd write copy for. (I thought it meant all services pages, but it meant our services landing page haha. Had to add in time to get that up to speed)

It's hard to predict what you'll need from everyone beforehand, but in the future I'd love a list like "have any copy updates we aren't providing to us by _____ or else... 👀" up front so I can plan & coordinate with my teams on my side.

The only other thing was that there were a few weeks we didn't hear back from the team because of vacations. It would've helped to get a heads up on that so I could've made more progress on items needed on our end. But, again, we had a flexible deadline so in the end it didn't matter too much.

At the end when we were in the final countdown, I'm pretty sure they worked non-stop to get everything done and were on top of every little request we made. That's top notch service (but I hope to not put you guys in that situation again! Haha)

Sorry but nothing about N4 ISN'T impressive or unique. Can't boil it down to one thing because it's a million big & little things that create their unmatched experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something N4 Studio® could have done differently?

Would love for a recommendations section in the scope of services right at the start, like "we're only doing 3 pages of copy for you. If you're going to update any other pages on your own, have that done by ____ so we can keep everything moving in good time."

I definitely want to make sure I'm more on top of things like that in future projects and that would be helpful to ID what's NOT included so I can coordinate on my end.

What stood out most about N4 was how quickly they got it—they understood what we at Flywheel were trying to accomplish, even when we couldn’t fully articulate it ourselves. From the very beginning, they aligned with our vision and helped bring it to life with clarity and creativity. Additionally, they built an incredibly organized and intuitive CMS that will make ongoing updates and site maintenance easy for our team, setting us up for long-term success.

Are there any areas for improvement or something N4 Studio® could have done differently?

The overall experience with N4 Studio® was excellent, but one area that felt a bit clunky was the content creation process. After a few initial meetings, our assigned content writer seemed to disappear from the project. As a result, Flywheel had to step in and backfill several content areas we had expected to be handled by their team. A more consistent and collaborative approach to content development would have made the process even smoother.

It is just really hard to find a web design company that really knows what they are doing. You can waste a lot of time and money with so many companies and end up with a website that is a liability instead of an asset. N4.studio on the other hand, they really know what they are doing and develop solid websites that are truly an asset for their customers.

I would have loved to have completed the site even faster. But because N4.studio is great, they are in high demand. Despite their heavy workload N4.studio still completed our project on time.

Still early stages but the traffic to website has increased gretaly and is being used by a wider audience. Genral feebak form customers and internal staff has been amazing.

Yes, N4 delivered an amazing site in a quick timeframe. I have not worked with a team so efficient and quick responding before. Any issues or challenges that were faced were met with professionalism and care to ensure they were fixed in a timely fashion. This illuminated a lot of stress as I had great trust in the team.

I really appreciated how the young, professional and passionate the team were. N4 Studio® had a very relaxed approach that put us at ease and resulted in an impressive outcome. The response rate did not stop post launch which has been great for any questions we have. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something N4 Studio® could have done differently?

N4 are great and it is hard to find where they should make improvements. Only area I can think of is the recording minutes on calls. There were a few discussions that left us understanding one thing and they had a different thought. Could do a follow up email after each call, noting the points and agreed upon work to be completed. This was not a major and everything worked out perfectly in the end.

N4 Studio was hired to completely rebuild the Flex Fitness website. The project included the design and development of the website and photography/videography of all gyms across New Zealand. Our brand is our biggest asset and our website is our digital shopfront. At Flex we often talk about pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo, so our website needed to reflect those values. 

N4 Studio helped improve the user experience for our franchisees, members and also our staff here at the head office. For our franchisees, we needed landing pages that accurately promoted their unique selling points, showcased their gyms in the best possible light and generated quality leads. For the prospects and members, it was important that they could easily navigate the website, find their nearest gym, sign up online and learn about Flex Fitness New Zealand. 

For the creative team at the head office, we needed to be able to update and maintain the content on our website easily and with support from the team at N4 Studio. Key Deliverables:

Better visibility and an increase in digital leads captured through our website forms. We have also noticed an improvement in our organic search results and store visits. And general positive feedback about the look and feel of our website from members, franchisees and stakeholders.

N4 Studio had a project manager, Lydia, assigned to our project who managed the communications between their designers and developers and the creative team at Flex Fitness. Our original (very ambitious) timeframe was not met, however, the revised date was met. We communicated via email, call, and in person and provided feedback for design through Figma. Overall, the project was managed professionally by the team at N4 Studio®.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Before the design and development of the website, N4 Studio hosted a workshop for our team to help get a better understanding of our target audience and user journeys, for both potential members and franchisees. We found a lot of value in the session and have continued to use the information as a base for our brand and marketing direction.

There were some parts of the projects that were skipped to meet the deadline, for example, user testing and feedback before launch. The launch of our website did feel a little rushed. My feedback would be to follow through with your process and communicate the importance of each step despite any external pressure you may experience.

1. Develop and maintain the mobile application This work was to create an application that provided an email client to extend the functionality of our existing software product. Effort involved mapping out the user journey, developing a prototype for testing and final delivery. Additional work to improve upon and add functionality followed. 
2. The Outlook web add-in Supporting the front end styling and UI for the web add-in including animations and gestures. 
3. Provide designs for an entire reskin of our product This work involved assessing the existing product and providing a set of 163 icons for the new branding 
4. Search UI Develop a new user interface on new technology to allow us to scale the application. Working alongside our internal team, develop and maintain the user interface whilst improving on existing features and developing additional features.
