I'm the director of operations for LedgerLogix LLC, a financial services company. We provide strategic financial guidance, bookkeeping, controllership, CFO services, business valuation, and transaction advisory to Main Street and Middle Market businesses, helping owners optimize performance and navigate key business transitions.

What challenge were you trying to address with My Tampa IT?
We engaged My Tampa IT with a clear objective: to strengthen the company's overall security posture and provide ongoing education to our staff, particularly around phishing and other cybersecurity risks. A key priority was shifting from a reactive support model to a more proactive approach — implementing safeguards, monitoring potential threats, and ensuring our systems and data are well-protected.In addition, we expected consistent and practical training for our team to help them recognize and respond to phishing attempts and other vulnerabilities. Overall, the role of IT within our organization is not just to resolve technical issues but to actively reduce risk, improve awareness, and support a secure and well-managed operating environment.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
My Tampa IT has been engaged to deliver a comprehensive security and IT management solution focused on strengthening our overall cybersecurity posture and supporting our team through proactive systems management and training. The scope of work includes the full onboarding of company devices, implementation of endpoint protection and monitoring tools, and establishment of ongoing managed services for up to 50 users.
Key deliverables include advanced threat protection through EDR/MDR/XDR and next-generation antivirus, email security and phishing protection, multi-factor authentication, encrypted backups and email archiving, and 24/7 security monitoring via a Security Operations Center. In addition, the engagement provides weekly security awareness training for staff, cybersecurity risk assessments, penetration testing, and centralized reporting.
The solution also covers network management, mobile device management, password security, and a helpdesk support system, along with virtual CIO consulting to guide long-term IT strategy.
My Tampa IT has implemented and managed a range of platforms and systems across our cloud environment, endpoint devices, and network infrastructure. This includes oversight of Microsoft 365/Google Workspace, identity and access management systems, and endpoint protection tools such as EDR and next-generation antivirus, supported by remote monitoring and management software.
They've also deployed and supported Egnyte as our file sharing and document management platform, implemented Keeper for secure password management, and established VPN access to enhance secure remote connectivity for our team. In addition, they manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, email security and phishing protection tools, and provide ongoing security awareness training.
Network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless systems, is also managed alongside centralized monitoring, reporting, and helpdesk support, all contributing to a more secure and controlled operating environment.

The engagement with My Tampa IT has produced measurable improvements across our security, training, and support operations. Our organization now maintains a significantly stronger cybersecurity posture, with key protections such as 24/7 monitoring, multi-factor authentication, and backup systems fully implemented.
Phishing risk has been reduced, with a reported 3.4% click rate and over 600 training assignments issued to staff, reinforcing ongoing awareness. Threat detection and response capabilities have scaled substantially, with hundreds of thousands of security events monitored and all identified phishing and malware threats successfully remediated.
In addition, system visibility and control have improved through centralized monitoring of applications and user activity. From an operational standpoint, IT support performance has remained strong, reflected in a 99% customer satisfaction score and high ticket resolution rates. Collectively, these outcomes demonstrate clear progress toward a more secure, proactive, and well-supported technology environment.
