Product management and delivery were essential components of our successful application development project. Muse was heavily involved in these processes understanding user needs, defining a product roadmap, developing the application, and delivering it to users. A well-managed product development process ensured that the application met the user needs, delivered value, and achieved business goals.

Muse had a clear understanding of Playpal's users and their needs. They conducted user research, analysed market trends, and gathered feedback to identify key pain points and challenges. They also created a product roadmap that outlined the application's features, functionality, and user experience, which was crucial to Playpal's successful fundraising.

I am the CTO of a digital mental health company with a platform that provides digital solutions for various mental health issues, including stress, anxiety, and PTSD.

What challenge were you trying to address with Muse?

We needed a company to rebrand our cross-platform mobile app and make the UI more user-friendly and intuitive. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Muse completely redesigned our UI and user flow based on user feedback we’d collected over the years. Their team also contributed their own experience and provided our team with feedback on the existing app. Muse reworked every step users take throughout the app to complete mental health treatment sessions. After that development work, Muse’s team applied a rebranding proposal they’d developed to the UI. That included updating our company name and redoing our logo, color palette, and iconography.

I worked with Sana (Studio Director). 

How did you come to work with Muse?

I found Muse on Upwork, and Sana’s creative style matched what we wanted and she seemed to understand our design process struggles. Also, during our interview with Muse, they presented the issues we were facing and presented comprehensive design solutions to fix them. After conducting several interviews with other companies, we decided to hire Muse. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested $8,500 with Muse. 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project with Muse was from November 2021–February 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Muse completely understood our market and implemented design solutions that suited our user base. Their team ensured that our app perfectly represented our company. 

How did Muse perform from a project management standpoint?

Muse had great project management and was very accommodating. They set clear expectations and followed through on them. We used Slack to communicate because it was efficient for the small team working on the project.   

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was really impressed with Muse’s ability to adapt to our needs. In the past, we had bad experiences with designers who stuck to their own style and weren't motivated to accommodate the client’s needs. Muse wasn’t like that at all — they designed what we needed, but still made it visually attractive to appeal to our users. It was clear that their team was creative and experienced, but they also knew how to incorporate all of that into their client’s company vision. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Muse to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to be transparent with Muse about their needs — successful partnerships with Muse are based on collaboration and constructive feedback.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

HYFATech had worked with several design agencies until we met Muse. the creative process muse proposed for our projects seamlessly integrated with our developmental timelines and the design and user experience was exceptional.

The process involves a discovery workshop where we went on a 2-hour workshop. Notes were shared on the workshop and we then they started off with the design. Feedback and iterations, and then we did the final design with style guides and colour palettes, visual style guides. And after this process, we moved on to Visual design for the app which also includes journey maps, wireframes, and then design. This whole process turned our projects into amazing functional, crafted products and our clients have been happier.

4 resources in total including Creative Director Sana who is an exceptional talent. Other resources included Senior Visual Designer, Animator, and Graphic Designer.

We had more users on the app and play store and the feedback was positive.

The process Muse has in place integrates seamlessly with our Dev timeline. We never faced any issues.

Their creative process, their workshop is very detailed and from the get-go, we know what we can expect during the project. They provide quality work and great client experience.

None. We are working on our third project with Muse and we hope to continue this partnership.

The illustrations and the want to understand why we’re doing what we’re doing and how she showed that in the designs.

Managing of assets would be the first thing and also being adaptive with design tools as Figma would’ve integrated better with our business rather than XD.

We are in testing now and very happy with the Design and experience and the app logic. Muse does a great job in understanding our idea and turning it into a fully functional product.
