I hired them to help with my digital marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team helped with my website. They also helped with our social marketing on Instagram.

Our main point of contact came to our job sites, and he would take photos from different angles. He would create captions for each post to generate the right amount of leads.

I worked with one person.

How did you come to work with Mr. Web?

I found them on Instagram. I was struggling to come up with posts, and I ended up finding their posts.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent about $4,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were struggling with COVID-19, and their business brought us back up. I looked through web and social traffic and analytics on Google. We weren’t getting calls at the start of the year, and now, it’s been our busiest period.  

Our original website was very bare, but he added photos and other information to make it a lot better. The posts are well put together. Their work is something I would expect from a big company. For the price, it was a great deal.

How did Mr. Web perform from a project management standpoint?

I just told them what to do, and it was done. They carried out my vision perfectly. When we first signed up with them, I was strict about when everything had to be done during the landscaping season. He was willing to work around the clock.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Along with the reasonable price, their work within the timeline was excellent. My contact was open and easy to communicate with.

If I was scrolling through Instagram and saw something I wanted to do, I would call them right away and it would be done in a few hours. Their customer service was top notch.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I had a great experience with them. I couldn’t ask more out of somebody than what they provided.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go for it. As a business owner, you want a professional service done on time. That’s what they deliver.

I wanted a website but I’m not good with computers. I needed a partner who could work independently.

Mr.Web built my website. They’re also running ads and creating content for me on Facebook and Instagram; they’ll be managing my Google ads in the future. The social media content shows before and after pictures of our jobs.

I worked directly with one person, but I’m sure there were others behind the scenes.

I saw an advertisement online.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost so far is between $1,000–$1,200.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Mr.Web around July 2020, and our engagement ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m receiving a lot of calls and emails through the website. It’s a good reference, and it makes us look professional. The site is exactly what I was looking for.

How did Mr.Web perform from a project management standpoint?

We have phone conversations once every 7–10 days. I’m busy with my business, so I don’t look too much into what they’re doing. I don’t set hard deadlines with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is really good. They’re friendly, they got my job done on time, and they always answered my questions and updated me on what to do. I let them do most of the work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything. Mr.Web did a great job.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d tell anyone to go ahead with them. They’re very reliable.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mr.Web, and what were your goals?

Mr.Web was hired to provide website development and hosting of our company website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected this vendor based upon price and reviews. At the time, they seemed to be a solid choice.

Website with multiple sub pages to be displayed in an informational format without e-commerce.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

1 project manager to start another 2 project managers by the time the site was developed. They must've experienced some type of reduction in force or attrition.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project took quite some time to complete. I invested a ton of time writing out the content to be added to the project, but most of it was never added. There seemed to be a language barrier for english which was not helpful.

I found it hard to communicate with them throughout the project. In the end, I asked them to make the website live before it was finished because it had been around 1 year at that point.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The first project manager was communicative. Once he left, it all went downhill very fast.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was not impressed at all.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The question of webhosting came up before the website was live. I was told the website would be completed in a timely manner. That is when it started. I was bill for 6 months of hosting only to never have the website go live. I then was reassured that they would get it up if I would just give them more money for hosting.

I made another payment for 1 year of hosting at that point. I was then contacted and told that my website was live but no one could see it. This was because it "didn't meet ADA and DMCA compliance". I tried typing in the address directly to the URL, but it came up blank. ADA and DMCA compliance may affect google search results, however it does not impact being able to see a website when typed in directly.

They basically ransomed me for another 760 to get that piece working. I paid it and my website was finally live. I had it running for 6 months. I was then called and told that I had only paid for 3 months of hosting, 6 months ago. I tried to provide the receipts for 1 year of hosting paid 6 months ago, but the customer service representative told me "I have other customers and I don't have time for this".

Now.. here I am, almost $5,000 into a non-functional website that I can't access or even port over to a different provider. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM!
