Due to the complexity of these workflows, off-the-shelf Radiology Information Systems (RIS) are unable to meet our unique needs. As a result, TMC has relied on a custom-built solution, which has now become outdated and in need of modernization.

We selected Mosano to assist us in:

• Defining the architecture for a new, web- and cloud-native solution
• Establishing the foundational infrastructure for the new platform
• Selecting the best architectural approach, libraries, and tools for the FrontEnd
• Leading the UI/UX design and FrontEnd development
• Supporting and collaborating in the Backend design and development
• Contributing to architectural and technical decisions critical to the overall solution

Although development is still ongoing, we have already achieved several key milestones:

1. Developed and demonstrated core functionalities essential for radiologists, such as report templating systems, integrated speech recognition, and more.
2. Established a basic end-to-end solution, covering everything from healthcare integrations to the distribution of diagnostic reports, while supporting a substantial portion of TMC's diagnostic workflows.

• Defined and established the foundational FrontEnd UI toolkit
• Created a comprehensive UI design system to ensure consistency across the platform.
• Developed and showcased the UI infrastructure, including navigation and other essential components.
• Supported setting up the DevOps pipelines
• Successfully demonstrated the functionalities of the report editor and its supporting features, like the reporting templates' visual editor, which are a key feature for radiologists.

• Team adjustments: Initially, two developers struggled to adapt to the complexities of the project. Mosano acted swiftly, reassessing the team and bringing in two new engineers who were a perfect fit and contributed significantly to the project's (ongoing) success.
• Communication: Throughout this and other challenging situations, communication with Mosano was consistently excellent. Their open, transparent, and responsive communication has been very helpful in navigating the difficulties and keeping things on track.
• Project management complexity: The project’s complexity was increased by the need to coordinate between Mosano, other external collaborators, and our in-house development team. This made distributing responsibilities and managing the project more difficult than anticipated. It’s a valuable lesson learned on our end, but once again, Mosano's transparent and fluent communication was instrumental in helping manage these complexities.

On of the aspects that impressed me most about Mosano was the exceptional talent and skills of the individuals they brought on to support our project. Their team's expertise consistently exceeded our expectations. Aside from that, I want to mention again hat, beyond technical capabilities, the way Mosano handled challenges was remarkable. 
As with any project, we faced obstacles, but Mosano’s transparency, professionalism, and balance of being approachable and solution-oriented made a difference.

At this time, no areas for improvement come to mind. The bigger challenges we faced during the project were beyond Mosano's control. It’s possible that the project's complexities overshadowed any smaller areas for improvement, but overall, Mosano's performance and adaptability were excellent.

The project started with a requirements phase in wich Mosano had several meetings with us to understand and establish our needs and goals. Then Mosano prepared a report with their "view" of what we needed and with an implementation plan, with several phases distributed over time, that would end with our goals achieved. After some alignments on that report we "closed" the plan that should be put to practice and that's what is in implementation.

Communication with Mosano team is very easy and uncomplicated, we share the same kind of values wich makes everything else appear naturally.

By now everything is on a good rhytm and we are very satisfied with the results already achieved so there's nothing i could say they should change.

We wanted a developer that could help both accelerate the project and be able to collaborate on many implementations we would need to figure out in development. Having a prior successful project with them, we knew they'd be able to provide a developer that would integrate well with our team and act as a partner in development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with them before on a variety of different projects. So we knew they'd be up for the task and having a more innovative project, we felt they'd be able to find the right developers to help us. We were looking for a partner, not just another programmer.

They have shown before that they value working on challenges TOGETHER, and that makes a very appealing team composition in leading technology projects where there are many unknowns to solve for.

We needed to design a web, native, and automation platform that was quick to iterate and prove out many concepts at once. We started with the prototyping phase to work out some of the beginning ideas. We needed to integrate with an external team's legacy API and ran into many challenges.

Mosano team did a fantastic job working with the various teams to get a better understanding of the systems and we were able to successfully implement them into the new applications.

We started with one person on the team, a more senior lead developer role that helped figure out many solutions. We scaled up with three of their developers to accelerate the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We successfully completed 1 phase of the project early. This allowed us to kick off the next phase quickly, instilled confidence in our external partners, and landed us the next phase of the project. The same team continued on with us until the project was put on hold for external factors at the time.

Though later the project would get picked up again and the same team was reached out to work on it due to the amazing results from the previous phases.

We used agile to manage a lot of the process. We use a more self-organizing team and the Mosano team thrived working within agile. We used a variety of communication tools from Slack, Google Meets and Zoom. The Mosano team communicated well which allowed for great collaboration.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How much our developers grew together with them during the challenges of the project. We felt like the Mosano team was interested in helping our developer as much as their own. It truly did feel like one team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not at this time. We did our retrospective with them and they were always willing to both hear feedback and give feedback. So my advice would be to let them know what to improve and they will get on it very quickly as they always seem hungry to improve themselves.

I am CTO of Humankind. We are an asynchronous communication platform between brand experts and customers to allow for a bespoke bespoke shopping experience we are calling H-Commerce. We work with global high level brands and service millions of their customers.

We needed to build out our engiineering team and need some node/typescript/cloud expertise. The folks we were finding stateside were either out of budget, or snatched up quickly by bigger companies. Mosano was able to help us onboard someone that is an integral part of the team today and has really taken ownership of our cloud infratrtucture and security - while being a top notch code contributor of our customer facing UI's.

Our lead engineer hadpreviously worked with Mosano and had hired 2 engineers. That opened the conversation to approach Mosano to find the perfect fit for us.

We have a very rapid moving and kanban style development process with continuous intergration and delivery to production. Our stack is nodejs on the backend on a serverless architecture using AWS, Svelte on the frontend, and AWS CDK for Infrastructure as code. Everything is in Typescript Our resource from Mosano works the entire stack.

Chris is very knowledgeable and helps level up the team by teaching what he learns. His submitted work is clean and precise and written following SOLID design principles.

We use slack to communicate and like to over communicate since we are all globally distributed. Communication has a been excellent - both with Mosano and folks they have placed with us

The quality of folks they find is amazing. Best I have worked with.

They are doing an excellent job. I always joke that should clone folks that they have placed with us. So if I HAD to pick something they can be better at - its human cloning :). j/k.

I found Mosano online and did some initial research. After a couple of phone calls, it was apparent their team was very skilled and would work well with both clients and other developers.

The Monsano team interfaced directly with our team and acted as an extension of the team. They participated in daily standup and collaboration with our designers and developers. The platform was built in JavaScript, Node, React, React Native, GraphQL, and MongoDB.

During the course of the project, we worked with five members of the Mosano team. Mosano put a lead developer on the project to guide the development and then scaled up additional developers as needed to complete the work quickly.

We were able to launch the first version of the product on time with Mosano's help. Their team also helped us in subsequent releases.

Their team really did a fantastic job and we worked with them on more projects after this initial one. The main areas they can improve on are to continue building a team that lives up to their values and quality.

We evaluated several potential vendors based on their proximity to our timezone, English proficiency, level of skill, value of services, eCommerce and mobile usage similarity to the US, and their past work and references from past clients.

Mosano was the clear winner on all counts. Their team was responsive and transparent from the beginning of our proposal process through to our day-to-day interactions with them.

Mosano is helping us build out our core Vue.js / Typescript / Node.js / PostgreSQL platform. They've provided us with a pair of exceptional software engineers who easily enmeshed themselves into our development team.

We've also been able to lean on other members of Mosano when we had questions that were out-of-scope for assigned engineers.

Mosano provided us with one early and one mid-career full-stack engineer is work remotely alongside our in-house engineering team.

We've been able to greatly accelerate the development of our core platform and reduce the hands-on needs for management and allow better focus for our in-house engineering.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We've done project management in-house using Agile Kanban methodologies. Their team has helped provide structure and cadence to daily engineering and stand-ups.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Mosano is extremely flexible. The entire on-boarding process was seamless. They've adeptly handled product pivots and last-minute new features. Their engineers are smart, humble, creative, and passionate. They really care about the work that they do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I really can't think of any areas of improvement. Communication and responsiveness have been great -- which were not great with other outsourcing partners.

Their work was a truly great surprise because of their good product delivery. Looking at the process, everything they’ve done has been done the right way.

There were a few things we had to correct, but overall people like the platform and it’s strong. A few of the end-users, who are medical doctors, have appreciated the design aspects. 

How did Mosano perform from a project management standpoint?

We try to use email so everything is documented, but we occasionally use phone calls to catch up and explain things. Our teams also use Trello to track the project.

The people on their team make them stand out — they really want to help and are dedicated to the work itself.

No, because I’m really comfortable with the product we have from them.

• Testing was done by our own team and tests with end-users are planned.

Worked together with mainly one of Mosano's developers (Bruno). They delivered on time, and when not possible never failed to clearly and communicate so in a timely manner. Great communication skills, awesome fit with the existing team.
