BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Zintree, a customer experience (CX) automation platform. We provide SaaS services and are currently getting into the agentic AI journey.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We needed help with UX/UI design for a couple of projects.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum Design Lab helped us with UX/UI design for our web-based SaaS product. The team worked on two initiatives. The first one was a conversational AI interface, and the second was a reimagining and redesign of our app, which had been around for a while.
For the first initiative, the initial discussions focused on what we were trying to achieve and how to achieve it. We had a workflow-based system, and the challenge was blending it with a conversational dialogue.
For the second initiative, Momentum Design Lab conducted extensive discovery to understand our platform. We collaborated and engaged in extensive dialogue and spent time refining the use cases and the UX. Their team then delivered the wireframes and related designs using Figma. They also delivered digital assets, fonts, and iconography.
What is the team composition?
We worked with their VP of business development, a project coordinator, a UX designer, and a lead UX designer.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
Momentum Design Lab was acquired by another company, and we had executive-level familiarity with that company.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement lasted from April–September 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We didn’t have a UX team when we hired Momentum Design Lab, so we had a gap in terms of skills. Their team assisted us with that and expedited the project's delivery. Once we identified the use case and the design, the project took us six months, which was great for an end-to-end delivery. We just released the product, and the customer feedback we received was truly positive — the product and the thought we collectively put together were well-received.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
Momentum Design Lab delivered the work on time and on budget, and they were available even after the project ended. We used Basecamp for project management. For communication, we used Slack and had check-ins twice a week or at least once a week.
There was one or two moments where we had friction, but I clearly discussed it with the team, and the response was positive. We were able to iron out the details. Momentum Design Lab was very professional, and we worked through some of the gaps, which spoke highly of the team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Momentum Design Lab was very helpful and provided well-rounded feedback.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Consulting firms tend to be generally expensive. I would like Momentum Design Lab’s services to be offered at a lower price point.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Momentum Design Lab can provide very helpful feedback, so be receptive to it. Don’t just approach the project saying you know exactly what you want. As a UX firm, their team brings significant value, so approach the project with an open mind.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of product solutions at Reliance Matrix. We’re an insurance company and third-party administrator for leave, disability, life insurance, and workforce accommodations.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Moment Design Lab?
We needed a partner to help us redesign a patented product called Absence Blueprint, a lead planning tool. We were about to embark on a new process with this tool that required a full redesign, so we needed an updated look and feel.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Moment Design Lab helped us redesign our product. We started by providing them with documentation outlining the current state of the tool and what we wanted to solve based on existing client feedback. They took that documentation and incorporated it into their own research and assessment. They also did a deep dive into our competitors in the marketplace to see what they were offering and shared with us how we stacked up against them.
We're the only patented lead planning tool in the marketplace, but there were many differences with the look and feel. We spent a lot of time coming up with the right approach and illustrations. We had many conversations about whether we would go with an illustrative or an actual picture route. They gave us ideas and options along the way.
They created the designs using Figma. We had access to the different screens they created, allowing us to provide immediate feedback. We also used Basecamp for project management.
What is the team composition?
Eisen, their project manager, who's led the project for us on the Momentum side, has been a great resource for us as well, a great partner, and I think that's the way that I would just describe them, is they've been an all-around great partner, whether I was working with John and Jazmin, at the very beginning, whether I worked with Lydia and Eisen on a weekly basis, it was just a really great collaborative team to work with. We also worked with Ben, their creative director
How did you come to work with Moment Design Lab?
We sent out an RFP to multiple providers, and they were the leaders from the very beginning. The team was responsive, and Jasmine, their account manager, and John, their CEO, were extremely communicative throughout the entire process. They constantly reached out, followed up, and asked additional questions. They were the only team that asked all the right questions.
The team took the time to understand us and what we were trying to accomplish with this product overhaul. They brought Lydia to one of our original design meetings to brainstorm ideas. She immediately knew what we were going for, so we asked if she could be part of the project. They agreed, and we were so much better as a result because Lydia was a great partner.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $170,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2025, and they delivered what we needed by the end of June 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still writing the requirements for what we put together with the team, but we look to roll that out in November 2025. We did a check at a convention in July 2025, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. We knew we had a good design, and we’re in the process of rolling it out to any new client that comes on the platform. We're looking to back all of our existing clients into this updated look and feel in Q1 of next year.
They did user acceptance testing on their end with the entire design. We received really high favorability feedback during the testing.
How did Moment Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
The team has been very diligent at staying on top of how much we spend and where we are with that. The team has worked very efficiently, and we've come in way under budget and on numerous occasions. So the team stayed on top of that, and we're considerably under budget with the project. They kept us on task and followed up as necessary. They even responded over the weekends and evenings to get everything done before the following meeting. We met every Wednesday and Friday via Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We had a great working relationship with Moment Design Lab. The team we worked with was great, and we hit it off with them. The project was extremely collaborative, and we came to the calls prepared. We were a great partner in that regard. We would explain things to them, and they would pick up on it very quickly. So I just feel like we had the right people from that team.
We enjoyed our relationship with them so much that we immediately jumped into a different project with them after the Absence Blueprint wrap-up. We’ve also put them in contact with our marketing team to work on a couple of additional ideas. We’re exploring other opportunities and trying to leverage Moment Design Lab in any way we can.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any. They’ve been driving me during this project to almost stand ahead of me with each individual piece and meeting.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come to the table prepared with ideas and let them know what works and what doesn’t. There are areas of ambiguity sometimes when you’re having these conversations or trying to paint a picture. Do your best to explain it to them. They’re very smart people, and they’ll pick up on it right away. They will present it in a way and with different options that work best because they’re truly experts in this field.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a manager at the IATA International Air Transport Association, a multinational company. We’re present in more than 90 countries and have more than 12,000 employees worldwide. I’m based in the Madrid office.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We needed help with UX/UI design.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum Design Lab helped us with many projects. They were our UX/UI design consultant and strategic partner. Our customer portal was our transactional platform, with more than 300,000 visitors per month. We were working to improve the UX and how users interacted with the platform.
For us, the most important thing was to find a way to connect with the user and speak to them in the same language. They used Figma to help us with different user journeys and solve different UX/UI problems.
What is the team composition?
We worked closely with Jonathan, their founder and CEO, and Sam, a senior UX designer.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
I joined the company two years ago, and they were one of the vendors we were working with then. One of my colleagues had previously had contact with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January–December 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In the end, we trusted a lot in the way that they proposed things. There was a before-and-after in every project we counted on them for. We were very happy to count on them for our most important initiatives.
We measured success through NPS surveys we sent to users to get their feedback about the process. We also had funnels and metrics to measure the success ratio. We had a lot of information available to confirm that the work they did was successful.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
They always met deadlines and stayed on budget. We communicated through emails, Google Meet, and Zoom. They visited us in our Madrid office for a couple of meetings. We had a very close relationship and connection with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were really good. We trusted them a lot. From a strategic point of view, they were amazing.
We were impressed by how they changed the situation and status quo to propose something innovative that didn’t follow market trends. They had a very disruptive mindset, providing a lot of value to our organization.
In the end, we needed valuable input from companies like theirs to improve our work. They were really good at what they did and provided a lot of value.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there weren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
No, I didn’t have any advice.

Momentum Design Lab used Figma to redesign a website for an R&D incentives company. The team was responsible for holding mood board activities and reworking the client's existing brand guidelines.
Momentum Design Lab delivered a design that pleased the client's stakeholders. The team kept the project under budget, communicated well via Slack and Zoom, and showcased exceptional management skills using Basecamp. Their professionalism and ability to interpret the client's needs were impressive.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of technology at RDIG, which stands for R&D Incentives Group. We are the leading provider of tax credit studies in the US. We provide exceptional support from studying to auditing a company's R&D activities to help them claim the maximum amount of tax credit they have earned by increasing their R&D.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We were modernizing our brand and positioning in the market, so we needed a more modern look and feel for our website, which was designed over 10 years ago.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum Design Lab provided us with website design services. Initially, we talked about wanting to take our brand to the next level. We met with Jazmin, the founder, and she offered a massive project to help us define a new website, our brand, and our personas. However, we needed something rapid and low-cost for this initial engagement.
Our initial discovery began with exploring low-cost options for implementing a new site design. Momentum Design Lab had all the tools at their disposal to walk us through the process of describing the feeling we were after. We knew what we wanted, but we didn't know how to say it.
We went through a multi-step process to find the words to express the look and feel we wanted to communicate with our new site. We did a mood board activity and several other activities to find key terms that would describe the feel we were looking for.
Then, we went into an iterative exploration of a variety of designs. We had a multi-iteration process of looking at Jamie's designs and having meetings to figure out which we liked and which we didn't.
We provided Momentum Design Lab with our existing brand guidelines, but they weren't sufficient for informing the design. Momentum Design Lab helped us flesh out those guidelines and provide even better direction than our brand book.
We only received the design, which was almost entirely done in Figma. We're implementing it now, and we expect to loop in Momentum Design Lab for further discussion and clarification.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Jazmin, Jamie, and Eisen.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
We were already partnered with H-Tech, Momentum Design Lab's parent company, for development purposes. H-Tech recommended Momentum Design Lab as a leading design firm.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent approximately $17,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July to August 2025.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Momentum Design Lab kept us about 70% of the budget, which was a nice savings. All our stakeholders were exceptionally pleased with the results. Momentum Design Lab wasn't the first company we engaged for this redesign. Our key stakeholder was displeased with the results we got from our first provider.
We couldn't quite say why, but we could say it looked old and dated, which wasn't impressive. When we went with Momentum Design Lab, they had all the tools ready to help us find the language to describe what we were after. Our key stakeholder was immediately pleased with the result.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
Momentum Design Lab met deadlines and delivered before the deadline. Our max budget was $25,000, and I was tasked with keeping it under budget, around $15,000. I just told Eisen that, and he took care of the rest. We hit the budget under $17,000.
Eisen provided exceptional project management activities. He was present for all the meetings and even occasionally contributed to our creative discussions. He communicated with me regularly about the project's spending and kept us well under budget. He did an exceptional job.
We used Basecamp for project management and Slack and Zoom for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Eisen's project management was impressive. However, Jamie's ability to translate a bunch of vibes and feelings from Zoom calls directly into a design was even more impressive. Momentum Design Lab was professional and had the tools to help us describe what was difficult to describe.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I could say things can always be cheaper, but the truth is, you get what you pay for.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know exactly the minimal scope you need at the moment and prepare to work with it. There's no shortage of work a brand can do to improve its outreach and presentation. Momentum Design Lab can do it all.
If you go to them with a blank slate, they may give you a quarter-million-dollar suggestion. It won't be wasted money if you spend it on them. They have the tools to help you excel. Go to Momentum Design Lab with a clear, minimal vision of what you need, with extensions of scope planned for later projects.

Momentum Design Lab has designed the UI/UX of a tech startup's responsive website using Figma. The team has created the branding, logos, style guide, mock-up, layouts, and screens. They'll design a mobile app.
Momentum Design Lab has delivered great designs since the first run, accommodated the client's requests, and done more than needed. The team has met deadlines, led straightforward project management, and collaborated using Basecamp. Their honesty about the budget and efficient meetings stand out.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of YumYum LLC, a tech startup. We’re building a web app, a mobile app, and a website to help people find deals and discounts on meals.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
Everybody on the team had a background in web development or project management, but we were missing a designer — that was our missing piece. We had everything else covered except for design, so we decided to go to Momentum Design Lab to have them design the website and mobile app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum Design Lab has designed our responsive website's UI/UX using Figma. Initially, we gave the team a few examples and detailed user personas. The team has also created our brand guidelines; we gave them a color scheme, and they've handled the rest. The team has picked the font, final colors, and layout, and we've tweaked it a bit.
The team has designed the website, our logos, and a style guide. They've provided us with layouts and different screens and even created some user personas. Since we have experience in web development, we asked them to create only one page's mock-up instead of doing every page. Momentum Design Lab has designed the website's MVP as responsive enough that it works for mobile, and they'll later design a mobile app as well. We'll meet with them in a couple of weeks to go over other projects they'll work on.
What is the team composition?
We work with five teammates, including Jazmin (VP, Client Services & Strategy), Elena (Former Delivery Lead), our project manager, two designers, and a director of design. The two designers do the work, and the other three teammates oversee that.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
I found them on Clutch. I went through the profiles and picked the ones that had what I needed, such as UI/UX design. I picked 10–15 companies and went through every single one. Momentum Design Lab was number one on Clutch, so we contacted them and another company and then went with Momentum Design Lab.
How much have you invested in them?
The initial budget was $70,000, but because of the speed of the project, it came down to $56,000. The final cost should be around $46,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2024. The first leg of the project lasted one month, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything has been perfect from the start. Momentum Design Lab has been knowledgeable, and the designers and deliverables have been great. The team has delivered excellent mock-ups, and the layouts are nice. Everything has flowed, and there hasn't been a big back-and-forth. On the first run, they gave us two choices. We picked one, told them to put some elements of the other option in the one we chose, and tweaked some colors. Everybody on our team loved it and was in agreement about the design.
Since we have experience in the field, we don't need as much handholding, and Momentum Design Lab has accommodated us quite nicely. If there's something they're trying to explain that we already know, they stop what they're doing and move on to the next thing. We don't want to waste any time, and they've been great at that.
We've packaged what we needed, and the team has delivered exactly that. Providers can add fluff to help clients understand the design layout. Still, since we already had the experience, we didn't need that information, so they've given us a package deal specifically for our needs.
Moreover, the team has provided more than we requested, such as the user personas. We thought we didn’t need certain steps, but they've done them anyway. Once the MVP is launched, we’ll go back to them to design the mobile app.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
The team has delivered the design in under a month, and all deadlines have been met. Everything has been done above what we expected, and the project management has been straightforward. Elena has done a great job setting up and running the meetings, which never run over the allotted time; if a meeting is set up for 10 minutes, it takes 10 minutes, and we're done. Momentum Design Lab uses Basecamp for collaboration and discussion. We also use Slack, email, and Zoom for meetings.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I want to shout out Elena, Lydia (Principal Product UI/UX Designer), and Dimitri (Senior Product Designer).
What did you find most impressive about them?
I like a company that doesn’t try to scam; if they come under budget, they say so. The meetings would be a good example since keeping someone on the phone for an hour is easiest. On our first meeting, we had set up a four-hour meeting and finished in two hours; Momentum Design Lab told us they didn't need anything else. The team is honest and doesn't try to take advantage of us. We had an initial budget, but we've come under budget by almost half because of how quickly they've worked.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I could do with fewer people on the team; I have complete faith in my two designers, so we don't need another designer overseeing them. There have also been a couple of things that we don't need within the process. However, I can't fault them for wanting to follow their usual process or have their usual structure, which has gotten them to the destination and made the design perfect the way it is.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you know what you want, Momentum Design Lab will accommodate you. If you don’t, the project will cost you more. If you can guide them, they'll work with you and adapt to whatever you need.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of product development at Disaster Tech Inc.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We had built a software platform for crisis management, but it didn't have a good UI/UX. Therefore, we hired Momentum Design Lab to assess our vision and what we wanted and create the UI/UX designs so that then our engineers could implement them.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started our engagement with a discovery session so that Momentum Design Lab could see what we were doing and what we were looking for. Then, their team put together the designs on Figma. Throughout the project, they had meetings with us to go over the different processes and steps needed for the user flow and the features we wanted to add.
We also had weekly sessions with Momentum Design Lab to review their work and provide our input as required. Once they were done, they provided us with the designs for our team to implement.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Suzie (Senior Product Delivery Lead), who worked with us as the project manager, and Dimitri (Product Designer). We also worked with another person, but she left the company later in the project.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
Our president has an extensive business network, so he found them through that.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $218,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Momentum Design Lab from September 2023–June 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven't implemented the designs they delivered because our platform's backend isn't entirely in place. However, we knew that from the start. We wanted something that would carry us through for when we had enough engineers to build the rest of the pieces.
We were able to take their designs and implement ideas for now so that we could launch our product this year. Momentum Design Lab's designs were a crucial part of our platform. Without them, we wouldn't have a great product for our customers.
We've been doing some demos, and some customers are paying for the development work, so we've shown those designs to others. The reviews we've received have been great, demonstrating that Momentum Design Lab delivered great designs.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
Suzie was fantastic and kept us on track. Throughout our engagement, we switched the project's terms. Initially, we threw everything in, but halfway through the project, we switched to a model they call "Innovation Lab." With this model, we received 10–20 hours of dedicated time each week, and the work would be done within those hours rather than spending a lot of time each week doing multiple things.
Suzie always kept us on track and accurate regarding the assessment for the planning and the number of hours required. Even when we had last-minute priority changes to address our customers' needs, Momentum Design Lab came through and gave us exactly what we needed for those customers.
We held our meetings via Microsoft Teams. Having a regular meeting cadence scheduled allowed us to review what they were doing and provide feedback. By the time we had our next follow-up meeting, the requested changes had been incorporated. Then, we would review their work again to make sure it was what we wanted or adjust as necessary. Overall, it was a really good cadence for us.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
I would like to give a shout-out to Dimitri — we felt like he was one of our employees. He really took to heart learning and deep-diving into our company's mission and then translated that into great Figma designs.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of Momentum Design Lab's work was outstanding.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Momentum Design Lab's billing department could have been improved. There was a small challenge when they switched billing companies. From the start, I asked to receive bills via email, but the bills didn't always come in when they were supposed to. In some cases, we received notifications of billings overdue when they had been paid.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Spend a lot of time pre-planning to ensure that you know what you're looking for strategically. Momentum Design Lab will help you tactically bring that vision to reality.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager for payments at an education administration company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We hired Momentum Design Lab to develop a mobile app to replace an existing one because of poor UX design. Our previous platform didn’t give us the capabilities to move forward and build upon the existing app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially had a kickoff call with Momentum Design Lab and had a design workshop afterward. The workshop involved several sessions over a month. We designed the new mobile app’s UX and did a high-level requirements gathering and persona definition. After that, we worked on the use cases and eventually created workflows inside of the app.
Once the design phase was completed, we moved on to the development stage. Momentum Design Lab led the process. They worked with us through the design and deliverable reviews. Together, we tested the solution and completed the necessary refinements. Occasionally, challenges arose between what was designed and what was practical, and we worked together to resolve those issues.
Finally, their team delivered a working solution, which we tested. They handled the necessary refinements and addressed bugs. From there, they handed off the completed project to us.
What is the team composition?
The team composition changed over time as we moved the design to the development phase. We worked with around 20 teammates from Momentum Design Lab, including senior designers, a senior project manager, a development lead, and several software engineers. We also collaborated with QA resources and mobile development specialists.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
We found Momentum Design Lab through a referral.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $400,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement lasted from November 2023–June 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our key success metrics were the speed of delivery and conformance with our timeline — Momentum Design Lab met both of these factors. Their adherence to our quality standards was always 95%.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
Momentum Design Lab’s adherence to our timeline was 95%, and they 100% met our budget requirements. For tools, they used Basecamp as a platform for communication. We also had meetings through Microsoft Teams. During the development phase, we had regular stand-ups and check-ins with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The entire process was great. They were great at soliciting design requirements, understanding them, and developing the product.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The communication was a little off a few times during the development process, but the issues were unlike what we’d have if this were an internal project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Engaging with Momentum Design Lab requires your commitment. You must have a dedicated team to guide them, and your team should be consistent. Start with a vision of what you want to accomplish — this is crucial. On top of that, changes and errors create a lot of complexity for a project, so you need to avoid them.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of engineering for a SaaS logistics intelligence company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We hired Momentum Design Lab to fully review our current website's UX used by our customers. We also needed them to develop a more user-friendly design that took into account features such as notifications, alerts, traffic generation, and more.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
During the sales process, Momentum Design Lab presented several options on how much they would work with us in terms of engagement. First, they could work with us and create a design, or they could provide internal feedback and create the design. The third option focused more on market analysis and integrating customer input into the design.
We decided to work with them directly without customer feedback or market research. Once we selected the package we wanted, we started a workshop with them. Several of our internal teammates met with Momentum Design Lab. We reviewed what we were looking for and what we liked and disliked about our current website. Our teams also went through some of our competitors’ websites and considered what we liked and disliked about them.
After that, we started the design phase, where they facilitated design sprints and presented wireframes to us using Figma. It was a cycle of about two months; we met with them twice a week and reviewed the latest updates. We provided feedback, and they made changes. That was how the project went until we signed off on the final design and received the wireframes from them.
What is the team composition?
I worked with one project manager. Two designers were assigned to a large part of our project, although there was just one designer at the beginning and end stages. These two designers were Lydia (Principal Product UI/UX Designer) and Suzie (Senior Product Delivery Lead).
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
I looked for companies on Google and interviewed some local firms, but I came across Momentum Design Lab on Clutch. They were among the top-ranked firms on the platform, so they were always on top of our list during the selection process.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from December 2023–April 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We received great internal feedback on the wireframes. Our team showed some prospective customers what our website would look like moving forward, and we received positive feedback, too. Overall, the quality of Momentum Design Lab’s work was great.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
We were more concerned about our budget than the timelines. As we tried to organize our thoughts, they slowed the project a little so they wouldn’t burn through hours. In other words, they did a great job of working with our budget and meeting our timeline expectations. They ensured we got the most value we could without burning through our hours. To communicate, we used Slack, email, and Zoom calls multiple times per week.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Lydia and Suzie did a great job for us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We had a data-intensive dashboard, and Momentum Design Lab successfully condensed it. Rather than having several dozen pages that our customers would need to look at to get information, the platform only had a handful of pages. This made the UX design a lot better; users didn’t have to jump around quite as much as before. Overall, the team did a great job incorporating all our data into a smaller number of pages without overwhelming users.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They were ready to move faster than we were. At that time, we weren’t quite sure what we wanted, so we took our time internally to discuss and organize things. To be fair, I’d already given them this feedback, and they did a great job incorporating it into their work throughout the project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have dedicated resources who are ready to work with Momentum Design Lab on a full-time basis.
For context, we only had some part-time resources available, and we were trying to gather teammates to move things forward and sign off on certain decisions. This slowed the project because we didn’t have a dedicated team ready to work with Momentum Design Lab.

Momentum Design Lab designed the clickable prototype of a SaaS company's product using Figma. Through an iterative process, the team created the UI/UX designs for the next iteration of the client's product.
Momentum Design Lab showcased impressive expertise and delivered a modern and high-quality prototype the client will use to attract investors and customers. The team offered frequent meetings, delivered on time, and stayed on budget. Moreover, they demonstrated impressive professionalism throughout.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO and co-founder of a SaaS company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We hired Momentum Design Lab to build the visual design for the next iteration of our product.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum Design Lab designed the prototype for the next iteration of our product. Initially, we had an onboarding call to meet the team and walk them through our software product vision for which they would design the prototype. Then, they gave us guidance on how to communicate that vision in a format that they could digest and consume. This was a one-day workshop where they built a storyboard based on our pitch and project description, which gave them the foundation for the design work.
From there, Momentum Design Lab took our concept and idea and, using their subject matter expertise, provided the visual design of how the app could function and what the UI/UX could be. After the workshop, they came back with a couple of different visual concepts for us to choose which direction we wanted to go. After providing our feedback regarding what we liked about each option, we continued to iterate and create a tailored design.
We went back and forth as they progressed, and they showed us the progress until we reached a finished product. This final product was a clickable prototype of our app we could show to prospective customers and investors. The technology used for the designs was Figma.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three teammates from Momentum Design Lab: Suzie (Senior Product Delivery Lead), Fernando (UI/UX Designer), and Tamer (Senior Product Designer).
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
One of our investors and advisors had used Momentum Design Lab in the past. When we needed this prototype done, they came highly recommended. Our investor had actually worked with them more than once, which was an endorsement in itself.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $10,000–$50,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together on this project from February–April 2024. However, Momentum Design Labs offers other services where they can help with engineering as well, so there's a good chance we'll continue working with them moving forward.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Momentum Design Lab brought their expertise to design an app with a modern experience, controls, and look and feel. The quality of the UI/UX was fantastic. We'll use this prototype to attract customers and investors, but it's still too early to see results.
Still, this design represents the next iteration of our product, so regardless if it helps us attract customers or secure investors, creating it was a necessary step to continue building our software. Therefore, Momentum Design Lab's work was vital for us to deliver on our vision as a company.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
Throughout the project, we met frequently to ensure that we stayed on track. They worked very closely with us to make sure the designs were aligned with our product vision because they didn't want to work a lot on the design if it wasn't going the way we wanted.
Momentum Design Lab met every deadline and stayed on budget. We never missed our meetings or deadlines, and overall, they were very efficient. As for communication, we had virtual meetings multiple times a week, and we also used Basecamp for project management, which was very helpful to leave comments and share documents.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Suzie, Fernando, and Tamer, they all did a fantastic job.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Momentum Design Lab's professionalism across the overall experience of working with them was impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything they could have improved on.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Document what you already know, do your homework, and show up well-prepared for the engagement.

Momentum Design Lab conducted a UI/UX research study for a home appliances manufacturer, which included user interviews. The output consisted of a detailed report and some Figma designs for their product.
The client was extremely satisfied with Momentum Design Lab's detailed report and designs, as they over-delivered on the scope. They also delivered under budget and ahead of schedule, demonstrating impressive proactiveness and collaboration skills. Moreover, they were extremely accommodating.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the product marketing manager for a manufacturer of home appliances' IoT team, so I'm basically responsible for our app's product marketing. My company manufactures home appliances like dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, and air fryers. All our appliances are smart and use our app.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum Design Lab?
We needed help with UI/UX research. Our ultimate goal was to uncover pain points in our device activation process, as we wanted to improve our activation rates.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum Design Lab helped us with a UI/UX research process, which included in-person interviews where they walked users through unboxing, connecting, and using the features of our smart air conditioner. From there, the team took the findings and produced a report for us to make improvements to our app and increase our activation rates. In addition to the report, Momentum Design Lab also redesigned some parts of our app using Figma.
The project required a very iterative process, so we required more than one discovery call to get started. In fact, they didn't just work with me; we also integrated our consumer marketing insights team to identify participants. We also collaborated with them to figure out how to recruit the right users based on our target customer profiles.
Additionally, Momentum Design Lab recruited participants for us, going through their database to find actual users. Then, they brought a researcher and a designer to interview all the participants on-site in their location. That was actually a challenge because we're a remote team, but we needed a physical location to show the actual air conditioner to the participants.
After the interviews, Momentum Design Lab worked with us to go through the results and the report's structure. We had multiple revisions to ensure that we were pulling out the insights I wanted to find on it. After the report was complete, they actually delivered it to our overseas team, doing a presentation that included the insights and recommendations.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Lydia (Principal Product UI/UX Designer), Myra (Product Delivery Lead), and Jazmin (VP of Client Services & Strategy). Although I didn't interact a lot with the rest of the team, we also had a UX researcher on the project.
How did you come to work with Momentum Design Lab?
We found them on Clutch.
How much have you invested with them? We spent between $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them around November 2023, and the project was completed in January 2024.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I was extremely happy with the report Momentum Design Lab created, as well as with the redesigned assets they delivered. I actually feel like they over-delivered, going above and beyond the project's scope and timeline. Overall, their work exceeded my expectations.
How did Momentum Design Lab perform from a project management standpoint?
Momentum Design Lab communicated better than 99.99% of the external partners I've worked with. Moreover, they delivered under budget and ahead of schedule; they couldn't have done much better than that.
I never had to proactively ask for updates; Momentum Design Lab always provided those to me early each week. That approach was extremely helpful for me, allowing me to deal with the finances and with my own team to ensure we were on track.
As for communication, we used email, and Momentum Design Lab was also very good about getting on a call to ensure we could go over everything. Those were collaborative, over one-hour-long meetings. They also used Basecamp for project management, which we had no problem using.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? I would like to congratulate Lydia. She was the lead researcher on the project and did an excellent job. I collaborated with her to create and revise the reports. She also delivered the presentation to our development team and stakeholders. There were about 60 people at that meeting, and Lydia did an excellent job presenting the findings and insights. Moreover, she provided a lot of great and actionable information. I highly recommend working with her.
Besides Lydia, Myra also did a great job providing weekly updates and ensuring we were on task and on budget. She coordinated everything and showed up to all the meetings to ensure she was aware of everything. She wasn't managing the project via email; she was actually hands-on, which was great. Her management is one of the reasons I would work with Momentum Design Lab again.
Moreover, Jazmine did a great job helping us initiate our communication, understand our needs, bring the team together, and kick the project off. In fact, I've already started discussing some future projects with her. What did you find most impressive about them?
Momentum Design Lab was very accommodating in delivering the report to our overseas team. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience for us, so we definitely plan to use them again.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything they could have improved on. The project went very smoothly, so I didn't experience any issues.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Make sure to follow the process and iterate with them in between deliverables. Going through partial deliveries together allows you to provide feedback. Momentum Design Lab's process accommodates that; they're the ones who schedule these meetings. Clients get a lot out of their process.
