We asked Modo to film and edit videos of testimonials, where we would have members of our platform meet their heroes from the platform as a surprise. They were asked to create seven videos and provide us with BTS photography. We had previously done a shoot similar to this, so we asked them to keep the look and feel of the shoot in the same family. We were operating on a tight timeline for pre as well as post production.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The measurable outcomes were the ability to meet our tight deadlines and the ability to create an environment that nearly identically mirrored the existing videos we had created. We also needed the members to feel comfortable, open, and surprised. All of these were achieved.

We wanted to create a 30s spot focusing on individuals associated with our university. This campaign was to step away from the generic <insert University> name into the spot, but really get into what the individual was doing and their impact... Aggie Impact. This process would involve creating a custom music bed, 15 second instagram ads with text and the 30s spot for broadcast and other uses.

The purpose was for branding. We utilized short ads and the commercials to drive viewers to a website Anecdotally, viewer feedback carried a lot of wait in screenings. We did focus panels with students to get their feedback. They were well received, the campaign received numerous awards and the response from various groups was positive.

Modo was great at executing and keeping projects moving. More often, the delays were on our end and they would promptly follow up. There was never a time we were uncertain or worried about pulling off the project.

The scope of work included producing two key shoots on location in documentary style. The project's goal was to generate two branded episodes that would explain who our company is, it's mission and highlight specific industry by featuring one of our firm's offices. The end goal was to produce 2 3-minute episodes as well as shorter versions for digital marketing and brand marketing.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The measurable outcome is that we hit all the pre-defined story points and goals in the final episodes, we stayed on budget and production value was high. For me success is when you can see that a large portion of the money spent shows onscreen.

Everything was delivered on time. We had a lot of discussion on story, shots needed, the script, methodology of how we would shoot, story boards and various production pre-planning. As a result, the productions were executed smoothly. I like Modo's project management stye as it's effective, transparent and gave me a confidence.

What I found most impressive about Modo is the creativity and business acumen of the team. Modo understands marketing and advertising so creative discussions are in short hand with the team. Modo put together a high-level script outline/storyboard of the video, shot video footage, obtained audio clips and assembled the video with background music. Modo will also provide shorter video/audio clips that we can use in presentations where use of the 2-minute video is not well suited.

Before using modo our launches were boring and our assets were low quality. When we decided to use Modo we were pleasantly surprised with the results. Our first launch after using Modo was one of our best ever. 

Our video assets and photo assets were very high quality. They were able to take our brand and elevate it even more than we could have imagined.

For what projects/services did your company hire Modo Studios?

We wanted to do a dance shoot in the studio for good photos and videos to post on social media. This was a shoot just for fun, not company backing or promotion that will be used for a business. Only personal use and entertainment.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was in search for a studio to do the shoot and a Modo Studio instagram ad came up on my feed. It's like the gram knew I was in search for a spot. I chose this spot for the beautiful space and rigged lighting.

Once the instagram ad came up on my feed I checked out the Modo Studio instagram page. Booked the space through the website and Hunter reached out to me very quickly. Had some back and forth with him via email and text with questions I had. Hunter was such a pleasure to work with and made the process so easy.

Not only that he was flexible with our needs of the shoot. On shoot day he answered any additional questions I had and the place was AMAZING!!! The control you have of the space with the lighting is unreal. The Shoot went great, locked up and everything was such a great experience. Couldn't as for anything more.
