Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CTO of SpeakingPal startup company, that develops language learning-related technology and services.

For what projects/services did your company hire MobileAppSoft, and what were your goals?

We decided to outsource some of the company development activities on a permanent basis. A couple of mobile app development projects looked like a good opportunity to do so. That's how we started to work with MobileAppSoft.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We've been looking for a vendor with significant experience in mobile development since the projects included learning and maintaining an existing and rather heavy codebase. Professionality, accountability, and clear communication, as well as reasonable costs, were among the deciding factors. MobileAppSoft happened to be among a few other options we had at the time and we selected them as the best one.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The projects we worked on together included the development of new apps, modules, features as well as maintenance of the existing software for publishing at the mobile stores. Development was performed for Android and iOS platforms with all the related technologies.

For each project or task, we had a defined list of deliverables from both sides as well as an agreed detailed scope and a timetable. Ongoing communication (often daily, or as it was necessary for the project needs) was instrumental for status updates and issue solving.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with the MobileAppSoft technology guy, who has been responsible to distribute the tasks to additional resources.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables were of good quality. Occasionally found issues were documented and fixed. We have received positive customer feedback on the delivered apps.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The communication was good and ongoing. The vendor has handled the project management of the relevant parts on its own, while occasionally raising flags for potential risks or decisions to be taken. We have also used external tools for issue tracking and task management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

MobileAppSoft was very experienced and productive. They managed to learn various aspects of our products fairly quickly and delivered excellent value outcomes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Documentation and reporting occasionally took somewhat more time than expected. They can manage this in a better way.
