I'm the Co-Founder and CEO at  VReel.co

For what projects/services did your company hire MintyMint, and what were your goals?

We're a small team of two people, and having zero experience within coding ourselves, finding an outsourced partner who we could trust 100% was crucial. We were looking for a company who could deliver our platform on our budget, project lead the full development and communicate well in english to non-technical people.

How did you select MintyMint and what were the deciding factors?

When Cyril from MintyMinty got in touch with us and we scheduled our first meeting we pretty much decided on them immediately. Having interviewed a few other agencies, and even interviewed potential candidates for a CTO role at our company, we felt that Cyril and the team could deliver on both the CTO and development part.

They had everything we were looking for and we decided to give them a try to develop our MVP.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of work included the design, development and technical consultation of a two sided market place platform for drone videos. Minty mint provided initial concept designs, technical specifications and then were fully responsible for the build including front end, backend, database and server architecture. Technologies used: Angular JS & node.js

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We've mainly dealt with Cyril, the CEO, himself and he has project lead the project from start to finish together with his team of developers and designers. We have also have an assigned contact person during the sprints who has kept us up to date and answered any questions or concerns which we have had.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After getting in touch with Cyril, the CEO and founder of MintyMint, when we were at the idea stage, we were 100% convinced that he and his team would be the perfect agency to build our stockvideo platform. Which they turned out to be. Two and a half years later, we’re still their happy clients.

They’ve delivered our MVP and our updated product and we couldn’t be happier with the work they have done.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

They work well with timing and really take the time to explain the technical details to us. As we don’t have a CTO, and do have any experience with code ourselves, this has really been one the most important aspects of our partnership. The team also speak a high level of professional English which helps us communicate in an efficient way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I'm very impressed that through our partnership we have almost felt like as if we have an in-house dev team. They've been very engaged in our product and have been excited to see it grow. The team at MintyMint also all speak a very high level of english, which is not always the case with an outsourced partner. We come in on budget, and they are always transparent about costs and hourly estimations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not that I can think of. We've had a very clear dialogue from the beginning, so all small things that has come up during the projects has been discussed and solved as we go.

Pluto is a travel tech startup, providing a collection of tools to remove the hassle from traveling. This including helping with travel planning and even travel insurance. I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Pluto.

For what projects/services did your company hire MintyMint?

We hired MintyMint to build our ReactNative B2C mobile app. The functionality has expanded significantly since starting. We were so impressed with MintyMint that we then starting working on a React web app and some Node.js BE services and APIs.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to provide a slick and simple experience for our customers to plan their next trip or to manage their travel insurance. We needed to the app to be extremely polished and performant.

How did you select MintyMint?

Cyril, their founder, reached out to me over email and shared some previous ReactNative projects they had done. We were impressed with the previous apps they built.

• iOS and Android RN app
• Very polished UI and slick UX
• One very complex journey allows users to register flights for delay monitoring
• Integrating with 15+ APIs, some internal, some external
• Analytics and tracking SDKs
• React web app, integrating with numerous APIs
• Node.js / Express APIs, connecting with complex 3rd parties

What was the team composition?

We started with 2 FE developers and are now 3 developers, 2 FE, and 1 Full-Stack. If it wasn't for COVID, we would have a team of 5 by now.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're extremely happy with the quality of the mobile application and have just been nominated for the best insurance app. The feedback from customers on the UI and UX of the app has been very very positive.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team is very experienced with Agile development and quickly starting using the tools we use and also improving the workflow as well. The project manager was always available and nothing was ever missed or dropped.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

2. The team are very easy to work with, clearly communicate and understand things quickly
3. Flexible team structure, very easy to scale up and scale down when we needed to
