TalentFY is a startup that helps other companies cover their IT profiles and job opportunities in less than 10 days. It is a marketplace where we connect each client and assign the best recruiter for each and every process with the help of AI.

What challenge were you trying to address with minimalia?
We reached out to them to help us with a video about our platform. We wanted to have a brief animation video because we knew that people have a short attention span. Our main goal was to catch their attention.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed a 1–2 minute animated short video to show what we could do for other companies. The film needed to be super understandable. minimalia assisted us with our visual identity because we didn't really have a clear one at the start. We just had a couple of colors and a logo.
Yasmin (Founder & Creative Director) helped us to come up with a lot of ideas, and from there we started creating the script for the video. After that, we sent it over to them and we had a couple of calls where we discussed changes.
Then, we proceeded to film the project. Next, they also took care of the editing and the music. For the voice actors, they sent us options of people who could do the work. The final output was posted on our website, YouTube, and other social media channels.

They were recommended by one of my colleagues. We asked around Barcelona for video production companies who were capable of doing animation. Most importantly, we wanted a company that could do things fast. When we saw their portfolio, we were impressed with their work and went ahead to collaborate with them.

The project was completed in October 2020. The engagement lasted a couple of weeks.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It was a great collaboration because we didn’t really know what we wanted. We just wanted a video that could put together what we could offer, but we had no idea how to do it. Not only did they help with our video, but they also assisted in solidifying our identity. Their services went beyond our expectations.
We often used their output and send it to investors and partners to introduce our company. We also used it on our website and it made our engagement grow tremendously. It also helped increase our email marketing campaigns' conversion rate, which we used for sales and marketing. It helped us reach our potential clients effectively.
How did minimalia perform from a project management standpoint?
They had a smooth and nice project management workflow. We usually discussed things via email, but if there were things we needed to discuss right away, Yasmin was super happy to jump on a call about everything.
We were a bit chaotic, but they made sure that things were delivered as they should be. The team even frequently reminded us about timelines.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When we talked to them about our ideas, they easily understood what we were trying to do. Yasmin understood who our clients were, what type of business we have, and what message we want to convey.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think there were any areas they could improve. Everything went well in the engagement. We had an ideal collaboration.

Do not stress too much if you do not have a perfect picture of what you want to happen. Just explain your business and some of your ideas. Just go ahead and talk to minimalia, and I’m sure something big would come. Don’t wait until you have the final idea because the team could definitely help you with that.

We needed someone to produce animated videos for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We have four or five projects a year with minimalia. The videos are between 30 seconds to two minutes long, and they handle everything from production to editing.
We start by giving minimalia a briefing of what we’re looking for: what the video should look like and the purpose of the video. Following that, they give me an estimate of the cost, which we always negotiate upfront so there aren’t any wrong expectations from both sides. Once approved, we begin working together.
Our collaborations are always very nice because they respect deadlines and agreements that are made. They also deliver very good quality of work. They are also very proactive and suggest things so that we end up with a good video that we and the client are very happy with.
We began working with them in June 2017, and we are still working with them.

They produced a video for one of our larger clients, a subsidiary of a multinational imaging corporation, detailing their digital services. More specifically, the video explains how they use a complex process to screen data and ensure it’s safe. They also produced a video for a client that transfers old infrastructure processes to new processes for major financial, aviation, and international companies. The video explains how they provide this new way of working and why their services are reliable.
We communicate with our client about what they want and what message they wish to send, and then we create the script and the message. We also look for a specific style or genre. Once we have that, we communicate with Yasmin (Founder/Creative Director, minimalia) and get her opinion. minimalia then creates the storyboard; once that’s approved, they continue with the animation.

My point of contact is Yasmin. We usually work with 3–4 other people, depending on the project.
